When practicing coherent breathing, we slow our breath to between five to seven breaths a minute, and the length of our inhalations and exhalations brings our heart rate, blood pressure, and brainwave activity into the same coherence frequency. Its benefits help us improve our sleep, decrease anxiety, and reduce inflammation.
