All right,
We started our live.
Welcome,
Everybody.
Please feel free to say hello.
Let us know where you're from.
We have 12 amazing,
Well,
I should say 11 amazing people,
Because,
You know,
I'm kind of,
Well,
Okay,
I'll call myself amazing.
We have 12 amazing teachers here with you today,
So we are very excited,
And we want to welcome everybody to this informal,
Unscripted Q&A with your Insight Timer teachers,
And I should mute my phone.
That's the other thing I forgot,
Okay?
I told everybody else,
And I didn't do it.
Hi,
So let's see who we have.
Okay,
Hi,
RebJ,
Nicole.
Hi,
John,
Daniel.
I'm not gonna say hello to everybody,
But I'm just gonna let you know that we are gonna get started by introducing ourselves,
And definitely,
As Melanie said,
Drop your questions in the chat,
And I am going to go around from the top corner.
I'm gonna start with you,
Jude,
Because I see you in my upper corner,
So introduce yourself.
I mean,
I know everybody knows you,
But we're gonna go around,
And we're gonna tell everybody what we do and who we are.
Okay,
So hello,
Everyone.
It's ages that I am not here and I think that Violet gave me the opportunity of taking back in here.
So I am Jude.
I work as a life coach,
A meditation teacher,
And I,
Well,
You know me here for the dance,
The dance of freedom,
But also the inner world meditation,
So I am so happy to be here with all of you.
So thank you so much for holding this space,
Violet.
Thank you so much for being here.
It means so much to me,
And Melanie,
I'm gonna go next to you because you're right next to,
Yvonne says she's not hearing anything.
Is anybody else having trouble with volume?
Yvonne,
You might have to leave.
Okay,
Good.
You might have to leave and come back.
We're gonna move on to Melanie.
Thank you,
Rev.
J.
Thank you for letting us know.
Hello,
Everyone.
I'm Melanie Underwood,
And I have been on Insight Timers since November,
And I started doing lives in January,
And I do mindful cooking,
And I'm so happy to be here.
Thank you,
And we're gonna move on to Kayla.
Kayla?
Hello.
I'm Kayla Mason.
I've been a teacher on Insight Timer for a little over a year,
About a year and a half I started putting meditations up.
I'm an intuitive human design coach,
And I also work with life coaching,
And I channel meditations,
So I actually started doing lives on here just three or four months ago,
And I love,
Love,
Love this community.
I feel like it's completely changed the way that I do business,
Being in this space and getting to teach to all of these amazing people who are seekers,
Who are ready to change the world,
And I just love raising the collective consciousness with everyone.
I love that.
And Siri,
We're gonna move over to you.
Hello,
Everyone.
I'm Siri Oppli.
I'm seated in Norway.
I've been on Insight Timer since 2018,
And I'm a piano composer,
A channel intuitive artist,
And just me,
And that's not just because I'm here everywhere,
And I love doing lives.
I paint on the piano,
And I paint and draw on the paper,
And I also channel art specifically for each and every soul,
So I'm happy to be here with you.
Thank you,
And Wenling,
We're gonna move on to you,
And please,
If I pronounce anybody's name wrong,
Let me know because I'm really big on getting people's names right,
So go ahead.
Thanks so much,
Violet.
Thanks for this wonderful opportunity to be here,
And for those that are meeting for the first time,
My name is Wenling.
I'm from Singapore and based in the north of Italy.
I am a creative flow,
Productivity,
And time management coach,
And I work a lot with change makers and creatives to empower them to step into their fullest creative potential through the creative cycle and the five elements,
And yeah,
I really love being here.
This is a really wonderful community to co-create and be a part of,
So thanks so much for this wonderful opportunity to be a part of this change.
Thank you so much.
Okay,
Tam just said,
I am quieter than the other speakers.
Is that,
That is true,
Okay.
That's because you speak more quietly than all of us,
Violet.
I will,
Hold on,
I'm going to raise my microphone.
Let me know,
Is that better?
If not,
I can put the mic closer.
Let me know if that volume is working better.
I am quite soft-spoken,
Thank you.
You hear me loud and clear.
Thank you so much,
Okay.
I've got a brand new mic.
I have this whole system set up here.
My son stopped by the other day,
He says,
Mom looks like she's been live streaming and gaming.
I'm like,
No,
I'm definitely not gaming,
But thank you.
So Kirstie,
We're going to move on to you next.
I'm louder now,
Okay.
I could put it up.
I don't want it too loud because last time I had it so loud,
I was echoing.
Hi everybody,
I'm Kirstie Nazare.
I've been on the app since 2017.
I,
My background is in the field of consciousness,
Ancient wisdom traditions and human potential.
And I am a meditation guide,
Spiritual guide and a soul coach.
It's so happy to be here.
Like it has been shared already,
The community here is something else.
And so I'm really happy to,
Even within the teachers,
You know,
It's when I go live as well,
I'm just,
It just lights me up.
It's not like any other place that I hang out online.
So yeah,
Really happy to be with you all and looking forward to your questions.
I love that.
I say that all the time.
It really lights me up too.
I love that.
And Jenna,
I want to make sure I get your name right.
Cause I heard people pronouncing it all kinds of different ways.
How do you pronounce your name?
So hi,
My name is Janne.
Janne,
Okay.
Janne,
Yes.
Janne Guddholmsen,
Just to make it even harder.
I am also in Norway,
Just like Siri is,
But we are quite far apart.
So we have never met.
Okay.
And we're going to move over to CG.
We have a Siri and a CG.
Yeah.
And I've been doing the lives for like four months.
Oh,
I'm sorry.
I don't know what's going on.
It's all right.
I don't know what's going on,
But I'll just keep going.
Yes.
Yes.
I am a meditation teacher and I've just started my journey into my true self.
So all of this is new to me.
And like the others,
Going live is the most magical thing.
So thank you all for being here.
And I look forward to some questions later.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Sorry about that.
Yeah.
It looked like we had a little pause there for a minute.
All right,
CG,
We'll move on to you.
Hi everyone.
I'm CG Olufunmilayo,
And I've been on Insight Timer since March as a teacher,
As a meditator,
A little bit longer,
Not very much longer,
But anyway,
As a teacher,
I offer numerology.
I'm a numerology practitioner,
Spiritual development.
I do channel a group known as the philanthropist group and that's a combination of angels,
Spirit guides,
Light beings,
Follow me,
We'll get into that.
And then I can read energy.
I can feel energy.
And I do offer guidance on Insight Timer.
Thank you,
Violet,
Also for- Awesome.
Oh,
You're very welcome.
Thank you for being here.
And Greg.
Hi everybody.
It's an honor and a pleasure to be here.
My name is Greg Phillips.
I've been a teacher on the app since November last year.
And I went live in December when I,
My whole concept of getting on the app was to do lives.
And so I do several lives a week.
I'm an energy healer,
A channel,
And a spiritual guide for seekers and sensitives who are on the path to the heart.
So I have three lives a week and everybody's welcome to join.
Everybody has a chance at a reading and we have a lot of fun and there's a lot of love.
So thank you,
Violet,
For being such a great collab,
Collaboration person and bringing everybody together.
Thank you.
I like to be the cruise director.
I told Greg.
And okay,
I have Megan.
Megan next.
Hey everybody.
So happy to be here and grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with this group of rock stars and to get to know all of you folks in the chat.
I believe we are all each other's teachers and you are your own best teacher.
So I am based in Chicago.
I'm a mindfulness coach and I support people in nonprofits with navigating burnout.
I burned out myself about 10 years ago and I also am someone who's worked in nonprofit for 17 years and I'm passionate about building mindfulness into culture.
So love hearing from others supporting change makers on this call too.
Thank you.
Thank you.
And Julie,
Last but not least.
Hi everyone.
Thank you so much,
Melanie and Violet for hosting this.
I'm super excited to be here.
I'm in Portland,
Oregon.
I've been on the app for about a year teaching.
I share a practice called I Rest Yoga Nidra which is a profound practice of moving out of our head and into our bodies using this step-by-step process of befriending our experience.
And a lot of my content on Insight Timer is for kids.
You'll find a collection of Yoga Nidra tracks for kids translated into bedtime stories and imaginative adventures.
So I'm excited to answer questions and meet you all.
Thank you.
Thank you.
That's awesome.
All right.
Oh,
And me,
I guess I should say who I am.
I'm Violet and I'm the tech geek that got on Insight Timer as a user and loved it and decided she wanted to be a teacher,
Had no clue what she was gonna do.
And I use the word teacher lightly because I don't feel I'm a teacher.
I feel that as the others have said,
We all learn from each other.
And I just love this community.
I love the teachers.
I love collaborating.
And honestly,
I'm such an introvert that I have a hard time when I go live talking by myself.
So this energizes me.
I love it.
And as Kayla explained to me,
Because of my human design,
It was okay.
Like I said,
I always feel drained when I'm done but I love it.
And she says,
That's your human design.
It's okay.
You need to go and take a nap.
And I was like,
I could do that.
Okay.
So,
But this lights me up.
Like this being with other,
Jude and I do vision boards together.
Melanie and I have done things together.
Greg and I are gonna do scripting together.
And that just makes me so excited that to do this for me was a joy.
To get the technology right behind it was a little stressful.
But because I love technology so much,
I was up for the challenge and we did it.
So we are excited to be here with everybody.
Lori,
I'm so happy to hear that.
Yes.
And I am gonna put it out to our community.
What questions do you have for us?
We're totally unscripted.
Whatever you want to know,
Whatever you want to talk about,
That's what we're here for.
So let's see what we've got going on.
Did she?
Good.
She said,
What is the number one benefit you've had from being on Insight Timer as a teacher?
I'm gonna start that one off and then I'm gonna let them take it away.
Cause for me,
It's confidence.
I definitely has built up my confidence because I'm an introvert.
I tend to be a shy person,
Although people don't believe it cause I feel like I talk so much.
However,
I think that that comes out when you're around the right people.
So confidence for me.
Let someone else,
Okay.
Janne,
I'm sorry,
I don't want to mess up your name.
I'm gonna,
You know what,
Melanie,
You,
Yes.
It's totally fine,
It's totally fine.
Now,
I just wanted to say the,
Yeah,
The power to be myself and just to be myself,
That that is enough for anyone really.
And that I can go live and just be me.
That has been so empowering and so it touches my heart every time I can just be myself and that is enough.
And that's something I've struggled with a lot in my life to try to be liked.
So here I don't have to try,
I can just be me.
So that's my number one thing.
I'm sorry,
I'm just reading Samantha's message.
You said to find the mute button.
Were you talking to us or somebody else?
I wasn't sure.
Everyone's hearing okay though,
I hope.
Kayla,
Do you want to go?
I actually think CG raised her hand first.
Oh,
Sorry.
No,
CG,
Jump in.
Okay.
And CG,
You have to unmute.
I forgot,
Sorry.
Violet and Yana,
I hope I said your name right.
For me,
It's expression.
That's the biggest benefit because I've had an expression blockage and this was an opportunity for me to come out of the shell that I was in and just step into the fear.
So that's the biggest benefit that I've gotten.
And I want to say also community because I was looking for a tribe of like-minded individuals because I was feeling outside.
Like I was feeling like the outsider and I wanted to find people like me and Insight Timer has brought that community for me.
Okay,
Kayla,
And I'm just going to say this.
I'm going to just,
I was looking,
I'm monitoring the chat.
So I will get to you even if I'm not calling in the right order.
Okay,
Cool.
I think for me,
It has a lot to do with me getting to see the change that we can actually make because I think,
You know,
I've been in business as a coach for a little over three years now.
And this is the first time that I've found a community where I feel like I'm actually making a difference every time I show up.
And like,
Normally,
You know,
You show up as a coach,
You show up with an individual,
You're helping one person,
Which is great.
But I think for me,
And I know for a lot of other teachers here,
It's that collective concept.
It's that energy that like we are changing the world.
And when we show up in an Insight Timer live and you,
You know,
See the comments coming in on meditations and it's just this understanding that we're literally changing the world here and you can see it happening.
And I think it's given me a totally renewed sense of purpose in my business.
Like it's completely rejuvenated why I'm here and what I'm doing,
You know?
So I think that's the number one thing for me.
Megan?
Yeah,
I really resonate with what everyone's saying.
I think for me,
Confidence is definitely a big one and self-trust.
So I remember when I first did my first Insight Timer live,
Like my heart was beating out of my chest.
This was probably four months ago or so.
And I walked away being like,
What the heck just happened?
Like I was,
It's wild to be speaking to a screen and wanting to build community with you all,
But also just needing to trust myself that my presence is more important than what words necessarily come out of my mouth.
And as a meditation teacher,
It's been really empowering to just trust myself to see like what's gonna come through today in this meditation.
I don't read meditations or write them.
Like others have said,
I just speak from the heart and connecting with this beautiful community is just incredible.
So I'll leave it at that.
Well,
Except for one more thing.
If any of you all are on this call,
Keep saying call,
It's not a call,
You know,
Thing,
Live event,
And you're wondering like,
Could I be one of those people?
Yes,
You can.
You can be right now.
Absolutely.
Great advice.
Siri?
Yes,
For me,
The one benefit that stands out most clearly is the audience and how to reach more people and to actually make a difference in their lives via my lives.
And the feedback that I get is that it's very good to feel the energy through the window,
Through the screen,
Actually.
And while I guess as a tech geek,
You can relate to this as well.
The energy that we feel through the screen is huge.
And it's divine.
And for me to be able to reach people,
It's the benefit above all.
So there you have it.
Kirstie?
Sorry about that.
For me,
It's the creativity of,
For example,
I first,
The first thing I shared that I remember sharing was a track that actually I'd created for something else,
For a sound healing.
And my daughter who's neurodivergent and had issues sleeping said to me,
Mom,
Can I listen to this going to sleep?
And for the first time in eight years,
She was able to go to sleep without me having to spend a few hours with her trying to help her to downregulate.
And so I put it on the app.
And knowing that there was that aspect of creating something that has helped thousands and thousands of people.
And yet I can also show up and do my intuitive card readings on Alive.
I can show up and do a course on Soul.
I can show,
It just allows me these different ways to bring what people want in a way that satisfies the different aspects that people desire and want.
So it's this broad reach of me being able to be creative and answer the call of what people want at the same time.
So this aspect to be creative is just phenomenal.
And to be in a,
Like I said before,
The community.
And like we've all reflected the community of people that are on this journey and very supportive of one another.
And yeah,
They're my biggest things.
Siri,
Did you want to jump in?
Oh,
And Greg has his hand up too.
Okay,
Siri did too,
So I wasn't sure.
Use your hand still up Siri.
Okay,
Greg,
Go ahead.
So yes,
I echo everything everybody said.
For me,
What was interesting is that prior to becoming a teacher in Insight Timer,
I really struggled for years with a lot of fear and a lot of self-doubt.
I was not fully accepting the gift that I have.
And I don't come from a certifiable tradition.
It's just a gift that I was given.
And I didn't know,
Seriously,
My very first Live I was probably more scared and more nervous than I've ever been in my life because I didn't know if my gift would even show up and work.
And I think the two biggest things that I've gotten from just showing up and doing the Lives,
Which I love doing,
The first is community.
Like people were saying about Tribe.
It's just been so powerful.
Like I'm at the point now where every time,
Like my friends come to see me when I go Live and that's how it feels.
And all I've ever wanted all my life is just to find people to play with,
Basically.
And that's not just spiritually play with,
Other types of things too.
But in this environment,
It's the spiritual friends,
The spiritual playmates,
Really.
And then the other real big thing was just realizing,
I'll have to say it this way.
I needed to see from the outside world that I had something that I could share.
Like I thought that I did,
But because I was dealing with a lot of like,
Well,
I'm not certified.
I don't come from a teachable tradition or anything.
There just was a lot of questions.
Like I said,
A lot of fears and a lot of doubts.
So when people were responding to saying,
Oh my God,
That was amazing.
How did you know that?
Or how,
Like,
I feel totally different now.
Like,
Thank you for healing.
Just all the different,
Beautiful remarks.
Yeah,
I guess that boosted my confidence.
But for me,
As a projector,
As Kayla will say,
I needed that recognition to know that I had something.
But now several months in,
I don't need that recognition because I know I have something and I believe in it.
And I just wanted to share that experience because I know that there's a lot of people out there trying to figure out their gifts and what their strengths are.
And you may not come from yoga.
You may not come from life coaching certification.
You may not come from anything.
I came from tech.
Kind of like,
That's why Violet and I connect.
And I mean,
I come from other things too,
But you don't need all those things.
All you need is the desire to touch people's hearts,
At least for me.
And the rest,
Let the universe handle.
So I just felt like it was important to share that.
That's awesome.
I love that.
Well,
I think that's a great segue into two questions that came in.
One was from Lori,
Who said,
What recommendations would you make to someone who wants to become a teacher for certified meditation training?
And another one was about what are the steps to become a teacher?
And I think Greg,
You sort of nailed it,
Right?
Because you don't have,
I do have training,
But if you've ever watched my lives,
I very rarely do a meditation because that's sort of not where my things align here on Insight Timer.
Greg,
Are you gonna jump in?
There we go.
Sorry,
That audio button is giving me trouble.
Yeah,
It's just get started,
My friends,
Seriously.
Because I used to get,
I've done a lot of business in the past and I used to think I had to have everything structured.
I had to have everything planned out.
I had to have all my ducks and chickens in a row.
And the reality is if you are feeling a calling,
If you are feeling an urging in your heart and your soul level,
Just get started.
Like,
And unfortunately for me,
Or unfortunately part of my human design is that I have to tweak things as I go.
I'm a trial and error,
Experimental kind of person.
So it's really important for me to just get started.
Because if I don't get started,
I'll get stuck in analysis paralysis and I won't go anywhere.
So yeah,
I mean,
It takes a lot of faith.
It takes a lot of courage,
But yeah,
Just start.
What's the worst that can happen,
Right?
You get followers who love you.
That's the worst that can happen because your people are gonna love you.
Whoever your tribe is and who belong to you,
Your people are gonna love you.
And at the end of the day,
It doesn't matter how much you stumble over your words or anything like people have said before.
And I'll just,
I'll wrap that there.
And I think that's really,
Sorry,
Violet,
Go ahead.
No,
No,
No,
No,
No.
I said,
I love what he said because I thought the first time I went live,
I was like,
What's the worst that can happen,
Right?
Nobody shows up,
I'll be talking to myself and I won't ever come back.
And it didn't happen,
But I was like,
That's the worst that could happen.
And I wanna say that this is an amazing community because everybody that's on it is tied into mindfulness and meditation already.
And that's the number one thing.
And if people,
I say this at the end of my lives,
If this resonated with you,
Please follow me.
You're not going to resonate with everybody.
I don't resonate with everybody and that's okay.
My people are coming to me.
My people are here.
They know who they are and they're people who aren't.
And that is totally fine.
And Kayla,
I am gonna go to you next to tie into Greg's human design comment.
Amazing,
Yeah.
I definitely wanna take a moment to acknowledge that you need to look at who you are and what works for you.
This is an extremely individual experience deciding how you're going to become a teacher.
And I also just wanna share coming off of what Greg was saying,
It comes different for everyone.
Like for me,
I channel meditations based on things that I know.
I actually have training in Yoga Nidra and I think my Yoga Nidra training is,
That was very,
Very helpful.
But I started doing meditations on Insight Timer about eight years ago and spent six,
Seven,
I think probably seven years before I decided to start channeling meditations and before I even got a certification.
And all of those meditations,
They exist inside of you.
You've been doing them.
You've been living this.
You've been being in this space.
And I find that when I channel meditations,
It's not always Yoga Nidra.
It's sometimes combinations.
It's a little tidbits.
And like,
Nidra is great because you learn a lot of different things that you can then apply to other meditations and there's a formula and you know,
So it's also not a super long program to learn to guide Yoga Nidra,
But you can pull from so many different things and you probably already know more than you think you do.
That said,
If you have a one line in your human design profile,
And if you don't know what that means,
Look up your human design chart.
If you have a one line in your profile,
You probably want to learn as much as humanly possible.
And in that case,
Have fun,
Enjoy learning how to meditate and learning how to teach meditation and then trust yourself to dive in because you can.
You can trust yourself to dive in.
That's all I'll say.
CG.
So I'd like to add to that about becoming a teacher.
So honestly,
When I don't have like certifications in yoga and meditation and all that,
And my perspective was like,
This is what I have to offer,
Right?
I'm a degreed person.
I'm actually a college instructor and I just know stuff,
Right?
I feel stuff and most of you who follow me,
I told you this story,
Like when I first came to Insight Timer,
I didn't do anything or with the app,
I was like joined and like nothing happened,
Right?
I didn't get on.
And then I was brought back a second time and then being brought back the second time,
It was the urge that I had,
You know?
And I was even like questioning myself and my guides are,
You know,
Just offering encouragement.
And I'm thinking like,
What do I have to share here?
I don't know what to teach about.
And,
You know,
The downloads just happen.
They just come to me and I just know what to share all of a sudden,
You know?
And just go with that,
Just trust in that,
Trust in the guidance that you're receiving.
If you're being called to make a difference,
Just go with it.
Because there's a,
Like even last night when I did my live,
I was,
You know,
Doing book club and I was trying to figure out like,
You know,
If like what I'm saying outside of book club is important and for whatever reason it is,
You know,
And I don't know to who,
But it is,
You know,
What I'm sharing is important.
It's important to my own growth,
You know,
The fact that I'm here on Insight Timer teaching someone.
So I would just say,
Just don't overthink the,
And I'm not putting down credentials because I have my own educational credentials,
Right?
I'm that,
That's my thing.
I'm big on education,
Right?
But don't let it be the thing that stunts you from offering to the collective.
Megan?
Feeling touched by what CJ just shared around trusting yourself and so thanks for practicing.
Yeah,
I would just,
I would just add that little next steps really add up.
When I started this journey,
It was six and a half years ago and I was going through a divorce and found Insight Timer and it really changed my life.
And so I think that having that personal practice that you can share with others authentically is key.
I went through a teacher training to teach this program to food banks,
Grounded in mindfulness.
And when I started guiding meditations,
I was reading from a script and was amazed that that moved people and that has just evolved.
So the repetitions are important as well,
But very tactically,
I would say,
Go to the Insight Timer website and check out how to be a teacher.
They guide you right through and you can join our group and this community has wrapped their arms around me and taught me how to edit audio and all these things that might be roadblocks to you.
Like,
How do I do that?
We can figure it out together,
Friends.
Thanks.
Okay,
This is a great question that came from Myesha.
And before I ask it,
I just wanna say that as someone who works in groups literally every single week,
As you guys see,
There's always people who are stepping up.
So I would encourage those of you that aren't answering questions to maybe step up and answer this question before the rest of us who feel so comfortable speaking,
Because this is your live too.
So Myesha asked,
People come in with all levels of experiences,
Knowledge,
And skills.
Can you speak to how you create experiences accessible to all?
Julie.
Oh,
Great question.
I was gonna speak for a moment to just thank Megan for taking us inward and pausing.
I think it's really important to check in with our motivation.
We know what is our mission?
What is it that we wanna share?
And before we go right into how to do it,
What is it that I really want to create?
What is it that I really wanna share?
I think that's so important.
And that will kind of form what comes from that mission.
So I wanted to speak to that and thank Megan.
And then in terms of connecting with the whole community,
How to make it relatable and engaging for as many people as possible,
I think it's also about knowing that when you share authentically,
People that are meant to find you will,
And that you don't have to necessarily,
It might not be that for everyone,
But as you speak from your heart,
It'll touch that person or those people that really resonate with what you are offering.
And I think really engaging with what are the,
Like we're doing now,
What are the questions?
What is it that people are looking for that are coming to you?
And connecting with that is super helpful to start to notice what it is that you're hearing over and over as you practice sharing your voice.
What is it that's coming forward from your audience?
So yeah,
Thank you for this opportunity.
I'm gonna jump in for a minute there because someone pointed out that Jude had his hand up and I completely missed that too.
So Jude,
You're on.
Bad,
Bad.
I'm so sorry,
You know what it is?
I can't see your little hand in your beige background.
The hands need to be like bright red,
Right?
That's right,
I gotta change that,
Sorry.
We need a blue hand,
Purple,
Purple hand.
Well,
I want to answer to this question connecting to the one before.
We are a community and inside of a community,
Everyone has something to say,
Something to teach.
We are full of experiences and I think that that is amazing.
When I started here,
I really thought that an accreditation or a certification would really help me,
But in the end of the day,
I started to do everything that was out from what I started for.
So it's really important that you are honest,
That you are humble,
But also that you speak with your heart to everyone.
I think that sometimes in the past,
I really miss that with other teachers,
Like you are there during the life,
They don't engage,
They don't listen and more,
And they can really hurt sometimes your feelings the way that you are.
So I think that Insight Timer is in a moment where we need to be like engaged 100% with everything that is going on.
And that is probably the way that you can create what you want to talk,
What you wanted to share,
What you wanted to say to the world,
And that is super important.
Like you just need to speak with your heart and this is what I do.
Sometimes I don't want to do a meditation,
I delete the life,
Do the dance and do like that.
It's just for the sake of I as a teacher,
But as a human is important also for me to do things that I love to do and don't be always repeating ourselves because this is the way that you engage more and more.
Jude,
Someone also asked specifically to you,
How did your offerings evolve and how do you know what you'll teach?
I think that for me,
My journey,
I grow like,
And I think that Violetta that saw me and was there since the beginning,
She can actually say how it changed completely.
At the beginning of online,
I was really who in everything that I was doing because I felt in the moment that was the gift that I could give and who I'm saying,
Crystal meditation and this and this and that.
And slowly I just evolve because I evolved as a person.
So now I am much more connected to the dance,
I am much more connected to the inner world and more like this,
And this is what I try to give as much as I can.
I don't like to be stagnant in one specific thing also because I have ADHD,
I am bipolar,
So I can't be that at all.
So I needed to change,
To jump and just to do it.
And this is the way that I grow and keep doing things on the side time.
Yeah,
I wanna add to that,
That Jude was the first teacher that ever made me cry.
And that was amazing because I am not one to let my emotions out.
So I am still to this day talking about that and he knows that I mentioned it every chance I get.
I know.
Marlon,
You have your hand up.
I think Yannick raised her hand first.
Would you like to go first,
Yannick?
It doesn't matter,
We're gonna get to her.
Okay,
Great.
Yeah,
I really enjoy what everyone has shared.
From my point of view,
The framework that I use is a creative cycle and within the creative cycle,
The fire element is associated with really owning your authentic power and being able to express from a place of this is me,
Not being embarrassed or shy and also not slipping into social comparison.
Because I feel like sometimes when we are here on the live,
For example,
If we are not sure of why we're here and then we get affected by what people are saying in the chat,
Then that really affects how we show up.
So for me,
A lot of times before I start a live or before I schedule something,
I always clarify with myself,
Why am I doing this?
And then when I start the live,
I also remind everyone who's there that you are here for yourself and whatever comes up in the chat,
It may trigger you,
This is a shared space.
So there are always different opinions and I think it's like our own responsibility also to moderate and see what we want to share and also know that as this is a shared space,
There will be potential conflict or misunderstanding and to know that this doesn't come from a place of malice,
That whatever everyone shares just comes from their personal experience and not to take it personally and to remember that whatever you do is for yourself.
And if anything that someone else says or I say doesn't resonate with you,
That's completely okay,
We're just speaking from our own personal experience.
And that releasing,
I think the social comparison and this idea of like the differences between one and the other and instead acknowledging that we're all individuals with our unique needs and creative potential,
I think that really helps us to hone in on our own power just as we are here as teachers,
I think like we're all so different and unique.
Agree more.
Yan.
Thank you,
Thank you.
I almost forgot the question now because it's been going so long,
But it was about reaching the whole community,
I believe it was.
How do you make it accessible to everyone when everyone has such different levels of experience?
Yes,
So for me,
Obviously it has to come from my heart because if not,
It wouldn't be right.
But what I tend to do is that I do,
If I have a meditation with a theme,
I do it several times so that if you're totally new to something,
You will have a chance to practice it several times before I move on to something else because that is how I like to learn as well that if there's something really new that I can actually get a chance to dive into it properly.
And I also take in what the listeners have with them that day.
And most of the time I'm able to kind of filter it into the meditation so that it's,
So people feel like they have been looked after and heard because I think that's so important.
And maybe if I get a much bigger,
Busier chat,
I can't do that anymore,
But now it's quite intimate,
These lives I have.
So I'm still able to really take in everyone's wishes so far.
And also I've actually created some meditation upon requests from some of my regulars,
Which has been really magical and it has brought me- Yon,
You're frozen.
Yeah.
Okay.
Okay.
So this question came in earlier,
But it's so tied in to what all of you were kind of talking about.
Zen said,
Staying true to yourself,
Have you made changes to your sessions due to participant feedback?
And I would love to just say something about that because one of the things I do since I am doing mindful cooking and for me,
My pillars are all about like,
Cooking creates confidence,
Creativity,
Calm,
Connection.
So I ask people,
What are you interested in sort of me showing you,
But also the topic.
And I know just like what all the teachers have said about embodying what we're doing,
My lives,
Because I really only wanna do lives because that's how I connect the best with people,
Are really tied into the conversation and the chat in the moment.
Whether that's like last week someone said something and I made a joke and because I was really going deep about the topic,
But I think that's how they evolve.
And that's what I do in the moment is evolve in my life based on what's happening in the chat.
And so that's for me,
Getting the feedback from you guys in the chat in that moment.
And it's sort of how I evolve what I'm doing.
Does anybody else have any thoughts,
Feels?
I know Jude,
You do that.
I've watched you do that.
I do constantly that.
I start with something,
So I put a topic and then suddenly I just go someone else.
And I think that that is the cool thing,
That yes,
For instance,
I talk about inner child and then suddenly somebody pop a question about anything else.
And I just connect to that to then go completely out from what I created.
But I think this is how the conversation is supposed to go.
Because if I think when I speak with my friends,
It's always like this.
We start by talking about a boy and then suddenly we just go someone else.
DG?
Short answer is yes.
We do,
Or most of us,
Or I do.
I'm sorry,
I have a Super Mario ring.
So yeah,
My inner child.
So people love to call me doing live sessions.
Anyway,
Yes,
I personally do.
It helps me.
I get the download sometimes from what I'm supposed to do and I just instantly put it on sample yesterday.
I got a suggestion from BD,
She's here in the live.
And she was like,
You just need to do a freestyle flow live.
After that live last night,
I immediately set it up.
Because I have something to share,
Even if I don't know.
But her soul was called to tell me that for whatever reason.
So something's gonna come out of that live,
Right?
I don't know what it is yet.
Whatever I'm talking about at that time,
It'll happen.
It'll reach the person it's supposed to reach and that'll be that.
So yes,
There's evolution in my lives.
And what I offer here,
Same as Melanie,
Like I don't have a lot of tracks.
I'm hoping to make more tracks,
But mostly I get the downloads for lives.
And when I get them,
If I don't put them up there,
I'm going to forget.
So that's the reason why I've told you guys,
I have a lot of notebooks.
I use notebooks because that's my memory.
But yeah,
I try to just do set up the lives as soon as I get them.
And as soon as you guys share with me,
What you like or what you want to know more about.
Sheila?
I want to kind of address the first half of this question.
Because the question was when you,
Like as you have changed over time,
As you've grown,
As how have the lives changed.
And I think while I do change based on what is coming in through comments,
I think it's also really okay to change what you do based on what you need.
And like one of the big things that I had to do when I started,
I am a projector.
We don't have a ton of energy.
One of the things that I did when I first started teaching here is I was like,
Okay,
How am I going to teach human design to everyone and have everyone feel seen?
And I tried to do these classes where I'm talking about all five types,
Where I'm talking about all of the profiles and touching on every single,
There are 12 profiles.
And like,
I ended up the last one that I did a three hour live because I wanted to go through all of the centers in human design and it was so unsustainable.
And it was the kind of thing where I had to take that moment of,
I love this space.
I love these people.
I love being here,
But I need to make this sustainable for me because if I'm not sustainable,
Then I can't give from an empty cup.
So I think as I have evolved and as we evolve as teachers,
It's okay to change what you offer.
And I think this speaks to what we were all talking about before,
Which is you have to trust that when you show up,
The people who are in that room are going to need what you have to offer.
There is something magical about what live you've shown up to,
And it's always going to be the right one,
You know?
So you're allowed to change,
Not just based on what the audience is telling you needs to change,
But based on what you need,
Make it sustainable.
Wenlin.
I really love what Kayla has mentioned about this authenticity and connecting with like your own evolution.
And also what Jude has mentioned about how he just followed his own calling and changing over time,
Because I think that's really the essence of what makes people drawn to you.
At the same time,
I feel like,
Because it's a process of co-creation,
We're here for ourselves,
But we are not also in a bubble.
We're here to resonate with the world and to create something truly spectacular,
An experience,
A connection,
A community.
And so there's also that aspect of what are people saying?
You know,
What is resonating?
What doesn't work?
And in my work in coaching,
The metal element is really all about how we can really objectively sit down and then review this live and what aspects are good and what aspects needs to be removed and what aspects actually resonate within you,
Even if it didn't resonate outside,
That you feel like you have to keep in the next live or in the next course or in the next meditation.
So I think that's really important,
This aspect of both inner and also outer and kind of balancing that through a combination of,
I don't know,
Iteration,
It takes practice and time and being kind with yourself,
Knowing that it's gonna be a learning experience.
Greg,
I'd love it if you jumped in.
Thanks,
Mel.
This is such a beautiful question because I think the notion,
The understanding of how we evolve personally and professionally and just as community together,
Really,
I think is really powerful.
When I think about how I started,
All I knew was that I had a gift where I could see the energy in people's chakras.
And I found out I could do it remotely,
Which actually surprised and amazed me.
And as I began to do that in the form of trying to do readings for people here in lives,
I then discovered that I could take people on energetic journeys and that they could experience healing.
And as I continued to explore that,
I had this deep desire to try to do that for more people.
And I shifted my lives into just doing journeys.
And I was also,
When I first started readings,
I could only do like three to five people in an hour and a half.
And I felt like,
Oh,
I'm not reaching enough people.
I was just had that personal insecurity about it.
And then after a couple of months of doing journeys,
Which were great,
I realized people really love readings and I enjoy giving them,
I enjoy doing them.
I feel like I'm really good at it.
So I returned to doing them.
And by then my gift had expanded,
Like my abilities had grown and I didn't even realize it until I started doing readings again.
And so I think if you just listen to your heart,
Trust your intuition,
Depending on how you grow developmentally,
Like some people need to do a lot of research first.
Some people fly by the seat of their pants.
Some people haven't really learned how to listen to their heart or their intuition yet.
So follow something else,
Right?
And the reality is,
Is you'll know if it works.
If you feel good about it,
If people respond positively,
It's working.
And that just means it's working for that day,
For that live,
For that track.
You know,
In a month's time,
You might discover that you've got a different topic to talk about.
You might've had a life experience that taught you or informed you something different.
And you're like,
Oh,
I have to share about this now.
So just it's,
You know,
Whether you plan your lives or your tracks,
I don't,
I pretty much channel everything,
Or whether you don't,
It's all good.
Like it's all good because A,
Insight Timers community is amazing to start with.
So it's not like having to go out on Instagram or YouTube and trying to drum up a following,
Right?
You've got people who are like-minded,
Like-hearted,
26 million of them worldwide.
So,
I mean,
It's amazing that you have a foundation to start from.
So I'll just leave it at that.
So true,
Such a great,
Great comment,
Greg.
Kayla,
Did you have a comment?
Yeah,
I just wanted to comment on what Greg was just saying,
Because I think one thing that happens to me almost every time I jump on a live,
And this is something I notice in so many different parts of life,
We're all going through a lot of the same things at the same time.
And like the energy that's moving through the universe at any given moment is affecting all of us differently,
But a lot of it is very similar energy.
So when you jump on and you're talking about something,
Chances are somebody else in that room is experiencing something very similar.
And like,
It's always so magical to me how we all experience the world at the same time,
You know?
So you're never alone,
You are never alone.
And jumping on these lives,
I think is such a beautiful example of that.
Megan?
Yeah,
To touch back on this question around accessibility,
I really appreciate it.
And it's something I think about a lot,
Working in kind of equity,
Inclusion,
Belonging space.
And when I first started teaching on here,
I would overthink a bit about like,
How am I gonna ensure that this is not triggering for folks and being aware of trauma?
And so that led me just to learn more about trauma-informed practices of guiding meditation,
To be offering different grounding points as it's not always safe for folks to be in the body with their awareness.
And,
You know,
Meditation is so personal.
So we,
I really believe in the comments around like,
We gotta guide what's on our heart and what's serving us.
And also just wanna share like,
Around this idea of how we can't possibly know what's gonna be the medicine for others,
But we can share what's our experience.
I have really been amazed at how my relationship with my dad has shifted from being on Insight Timer.
He is somebody who,
You know,
Didn't meditate before I started meditating.
And now he and my mom meditate every day together and he joins most of my lives.
And I have a tradition of calling him afterwards.
And one of them,
He asked me about how he was talking about self-love and how it supports me in better serving others.
And he's normally,
I don't think he would mind me saying this,
Like doesn't share emotions a lot,
Right?
There's a generational difference.
And we had this moment and he said,
I could share this with folks,
Where he was just like,
You know,
I never really knew how to work with my emotions or love myself and I wanna learn more.
And so I just offer that because it's not only the connections across the world that we make and the people we touch that we don't know,
It also can really have an impact on our families.
And it wasn't about me trying to change my dad.
It was me living my own truth and him being supportive that has led to this opening.
So just felt called to share that.
Thank you.
So we're gonna wrap up in just a couple of minutes.
I know that this really great question came in,
But I'm gonna put it in our group,
Ask your guides because we do wanna make sure that we're respecting everyone's time.
Christine did ask about a failing forward moment,
Which I call falling forward.
In fact,
I named my farm falling forward after that,
But I'm gonna put it in the chat,
Christine on ask your guides.
So a question that came on very early,
And I think it's a great way to wrap up is how can students best support us as teachers?
And you guys can just unmute yourselves and answer that question.
I think it's simply going to listen to our tracks.
If we have any,
Putting a comment,
A review.
I know that inside time I give you the only thing that comes up is the stars,
But for us teacher is also amazing to read how was your experience and also to know if what we are putting out is it right or not.
The same thing is for the courses.
Just go to the classroom and share.
And it's something that I always say in my life,
Sometimes you don't even acknowledge the fact as Kayla said that we are passing through the same stuff.
So when you put a comment in a classroom or in a review,
Someone else out there will look and say,
Oh,
Wow,
I am not the only one living through this moment.
So I know that the lives create more community,
But bear in mind that also you're commenting on classrooms or reviews that it help much more to create that community together and then show up to our lives and just have fun,
Isn't it?
Yeah,
And I just add to that as well.
If you listen to a teacher or a course and you have an inspiration like,
Oh,
I'd like to know a bit more about this or,
You know,
So adding a bit more.
So the commenting on what you've listened to is great and the stars.
But if you have an idea or think,
Oh,
I'd really like to know more about something that this teacher seems to resonate with or teach around or guide on,
Let us know,
Because that helps us to create the content that you want,
More of the content that you want.
And,
You know,
There is a plethora of goodies on here,
But yeah,
Let us know.
And I think from a more like technical standpoint,
As teachers,
We have to keep an average of 4.
5 stars on all of our meditations in order to be able to go live.
And I love that they do this because it really does,
You know,
It keeps the integrity of what teachers are teaching.
But with that in mind,
If you love watching a teacher go live,
Go and listen to their meditations,
Give them five stars,
Push that up so that you know this teacher is going to continue to be able to offer lives.
I have a few things to add to that.
I just want to point out what Sheila said,
You know,
When you want to leave the reviews,
If you can't or unable to leave at least a five,
Share the feedback by messaging the teacher because anything be lower than the five is it's kind of hurtful to the rating for the teacher and maybe even to the feelings of the teacher,
Right?
So,
You know,
Constructive criticism is great.
So my ask is always that you share that in a message to the teacher,
If you're not able to leave them a full on five,
That's just my perspective on that.
But I wanted to also add that there are many ways to support teachers here.
Outside,
It's the tracks,
It's the live sessions,
It's the following the teacher,
But I want to go beyond that.
And I want to say it's supporting Insight Timer,
Okay?
Because we can't be here if Insight Timer is not here,
Okay?
And I want to really highlight this,
This is a two-way abundance,
That's the message that just came to me with this question.
Okay,
So I want to encourage you all,
But on supporting us,
Support Insight Timer,
Share it with your friends and teachers.
If you're a teacher on here in the chat,
Insight Timer has been so nice to us.
They've offered us a whole promotional embed thing that we can put,
If all of us have links,
That you can put on your website,
Your link page,
To support them.
It's so easy to just be like,
Join us on Insight Timer,
Right?
It's a two-way abundance.
So you're growing this platform and you're growing yourself.
It gives others outside of Insight Timer,
A chance to meet other teachers outside of you,
Right?
So they got introduced to Insight Timer through you,
And now they have access to all these teachers,
Okay?
That's how you support the collective.
So that's all I have to say about that.
And there's enough for all of us.
There's enough abundance for all of us.
So that's what I have to say.
I just have to add that that was beautifully said,
CG.
I agree like 200%,
And I'll be quiet now.
I mean,
I always say that,
CG,
Because in life,
It's all about an energy exchange.
We're showing up,
All of us,
As students,
As teachers,
Participants.
I have a premium membership,
Because I think that's important for me to do.
I understand that's not accessible to everyone,
But I really believe in an energy exchange.
And like you said,
That can manifest in many different ways.
Sharing a profile,
That's what I say in every live.
And I'm gonna just say this,
Not everyone feels comfortable asking for donations.
And that's okay,
But we're investing our time and our energy.
And I think that sometimes money becomes an odd conversation for people that didn't grow up maybe speaking about money.
And maybe there are people who don't want to get tips,
But I think at the end of the day,
Everybody does.
And that one,
As a teacher,
It's perfectly okay to say,
If you feel called to donate,
Please donate,
Because you are working,
You're investing your time and your energy in it.
But also as a student,
You always know that you could donate.
And as someone who works a lot in fundraising,
One thing I know is that every dollar matters.
So even if you're like,
Oh,
I can't contribute,
Even though I feel so called to do it,
You might be able to contribute a dollar and nobody's gonna think poorly of that.
They're going to be incredibly appreciative of that,
Because I have goosebumps.
I know that that matters to everybody.
And just reiterating what people said about,
If you're leaving a review,
It's important,
I think,
To leave constructive feedback.
Even if it's a five star,
But you're like,
Oh,
Hey,
I thought it was too loud.
It's okay to say that too.
And that's really important,
Because we aren't going to grow and know where we're falling if we don't hear that back from anybody.
Yeah,
I agree.
And I just wanted to add,
I have had people leave me comments like,
Oh,
Your volume was too low,
Or you needed more music.
And they still left me four or five stars.
And that means a lot to me.
And I'll let them know,
Thank you for the feedback.
And I don't put this in the review,
But especially thank you for not leaving me a one star,
Because that would crush me.
Because we're all human.
And if someone throws one or two stars at you,
You're like,
Oh,
Wow,
I suck.
I shouldn't be here.
So the encouragement means a lot.
And I got started with no experience.
I'm not a meditator or yoga teacher.
So I was completely lost as to how to do any of this.
And the fact that everyone was so kind to me and was with me through my growing pains kept me coming back.
So that really means a lot.
I'll add.
So I offer Mindfulness Community for Changemakers events on Insight Timer Live a couple times a month.
And I always encourage folks to engage as much or as little as they'd like.
So I know that it can be really supportive just when I listen to lives to close my eyes and just be quiet.
And that's great.
And really encourage you,
If you wanna support teachers and the community to share in the chat.
If it feels of service to you,
I wanna hear your voice and your perspective and build community together.
So just engaging,
Maybe bringing a friend,
Sharing about all the beautiful teachers on here with folks and encourage folks to reach out.
I personally love hearing from people on Insight Timer.
The messages are so easy to find always,
But if there's anything I can do to support you or if you have questions or feedback,
I love engaging with folks.

Violet, what a brilliant, creative idea to gather teachers for discussion. Great to hear InsightTimer teachers speak about their passion and purpose. Beautiful theme of fostering community and being of service.

I love the support and encouragement in this track.
