Hello,

I'm Vimala Sara.

Welcome to day 8,

Appreciating the air you breathe today.

Without breath you would not be alive.

It's a miracle for anybody who has had an addiction,

Is in recovery and still alive.

Take a deep breath and appreciate yourself for being in recovery in this present moment.

Have gratitude for the air you breathe right now in this present moment.

Today's song is composed by Kate Munger,

Founder of the Threshold Choir and sung by the Songsters.

Let's take what we call a 3 minute breathing space.

This is something quick and simple that you can incorporate into your daily life.

Firstly,

Allowing yourself to have awareness of thoughts,

Feelings and bodies.

Secretary of Secondly,

Now gathering yourself on the breath,

Noticing the breath,

Becoming aware of the breath.

Thirdly,

Expanding the breath throughout the whole body,

Connecting to your whole body.

Pause now,

Then take a deep breath right down into your stomach.

Just listen and breathe as you hear the words being sung to you.

Allow the words to wash through you and penetrate your heart.

Every time your mind wanders,

Gets caught up in thinking,

Just bring it back gently and kindly to the words being sung.
