Exploring our anger.

Make yourself comfortable,

Preferably sitting in a chair,

But if you need to then please lay down.

Close your eyes and connect with your breath.

Allow your breath to be your anchor in this practice.

Whenever strong feelings arise,

Try to connect to the breath.

Breathing in through the nostrils and deep down into your stomach.

Allow your body to be like a mountain,

Steady and present.

And your heart like an ocean,

Waves of feelings ebbing and passing away.

Allow yourself to connect to your imagination.

When I ask you some questions,

Just try to answer them as honestly as you can.

Make your answers short so that you don't move into blame or judgements or interpretations.

You can speak the answers out aloud or say them quietly to yourself.

Let's begin.

Body like mountain.

Heart like ocean.

Breath like anchor.

Stay connected to your breath.

When did you last feel irritated?

Or angry about something?

What happened?

What were the triggers?

What wound you up?

What did you feel?

What did you do?

Did you flare into a blaze?

Or did you push it down?

What did you gain from your actions?

What did your actions cost you?

Now ask yourself,

Is there anything you could have done differently in this situation?

Now let yourself let go of this story.

Slowly become aware of your heart.

Place your hand upon your heart.

And breathe into your hand.

In and out.

In and out.

Really try to breathe through the heart.

Let go of all those uncomfortable feelings.

When you breathe in and out.

Be calm with whatever feelings that may arise.

Body like mountain.

Heart like ocean.

Breath like anchor.

Gently bring this practice to a close.

Open your eyes slowly.

And allow yourself to be still for a few minutes before continuing with the rest of your day.

This lady sounds like Garnet from Steven Universe, excellent audio. The session on anger was short, but good.
