Welcome to the relaxing facial and upper body release meditation.
My name is Victoria.
In this practice I invite you to let go of the accumulated tension and stress from your face,
Shoulders and neck,
Allowing yourself to fully unwind and embrace a deep state of relaxation.
By dedicating this time to nurture yourself you can cultivate serenity,
Promote overall well-being and prepare your mind and body for a peaceful night's sleep.
Finding a comfortable position and gently closing your eyes.
Take a deep breath in,
Filling your lungs with fresh air and slowly exhale releasing any tension in your body,
Allowing your body to sink into a state of deep relaxation.
Now bring your awareness to your face and without any judgment noticing any areas of tension or tightness.
As you become aware of these areas imagine them softening and relaxing with each breath.
Visualizing a warm golden light enveloping your face,
Soothing away any stress or worry.
Shift your focus to your forehead.
Notice any furrows or lines that might have formed throughout the day.
As you inhale imagine a wave of calmness washing over your forehead,
Soothing away any creases.
With each exhale release any lingering tension,
Allowing your forehead to become smooth and relaxed.
Now gently shift your attention to your eyes,
Feeling the weight of your eyelids and let them become heavy and relaxed.
Imagine a gentle breeze caressing your eyelids,
Easing any strain or fatigue,
Allowing your eyes to soften,
Let go of any tension they may be holding.
Move your attention down to your cheeks and your jaw.
Release any clenched muscles and let your jaw just release.
Imagine a warm soothing sensation spreading through your cheeks,
Melting away any tightness or stress.
Let your face become completely serene and tranquil.
Bring your awareness to your lips,
Part them slightly and release the tongue from the roof of the mouth.
Allow your lips to relax into a gentle smile.
Feel that positive energy radiating from the smile,
Spreading warmth and contentment throughout your entire face.
After bringing your attention to your face and achieving that blissful state of relaxation,
Gently shift your focus to your shoulders.
Notice any tightness or heaviness in this area without judgment.
With each inhalation imagining a softening warmth flowing through your shoulders,
Releasing any tension you may have accumulated throughout the day.
As you exhale,
Visualize the tension dissipating,
Allowing your shoulders to sink deeper into relaxation.
And shifting your awareness to your neck,
Noticing any stiffness or tightness that you may be holding on to.
As you inhale imagine a gentle warm breeze caressing your neck gently,
Loosening any knots or constriction.
With each exhale feeling the tension melting away,
Leaving your neck feeling light and free.
As you continue to breathe deeply and slowly,
Imagine the gentle stream of golden light flowing down from the top of your head,
Through your face,
Through your neck and into your shoulders.
This soothing light carries a sense of peace and tranquility,
Gently releasing any remaining tension in these areas,
Allowing this golden light to permeate every muscle,
Every fiber of your face,
Neck and shoulders.
Feel it enveloping you,
Bringing a deep sense of relaxation and relief.
With each breath imagine the light expanding,
Spreading further into your body,
Soothing any areas of tension that it encounters along the way.
Taking a few moments to fully immerse yourself into this relaxation,
Notice how your entire body feels lighter,
More at ease,
Completely relaxed.
As we prepare to finish this meditation together,
Expressing gratitude for the peace and serenity that you have cultivated within yourself.
Remembering that you can return to this practice whenever you need to release any tension from your face,
Your neck,
Your shoulders.
Taking a few moments to simply breathe and soak in this relaxation,
Feeling your face becoming lighter and smoother,
Enjoying this sense of tranquility and carrying it with you into a restful night's sleep.
