Taking a comfortable position,
Finding a place where you can feel safe,
You're warm enough,
A place where you won't be disturbed for 10,
15 minutes.
And allowing yourself this precious time,
Allowing your mind and your body to settle,
Allowing the time to drift by,
Nothing else to do,
Nowhere else to go.
Do exactly where you need to be right now.
Just spending a few moments allowing your body to settle,
Allowing the mind to settle,
And allowing your soul to relax.
Thinking about the muscles in your body and just asking each muscle to relax as I repeat them.
The muscles in the legs,
The muscles in the belly,
The muscles along the spine,
The muscles in the chest,
Muscles in your shoulders,
The muscles in your arms and hands,
The muscles in your jaw and the muscles in your face.
Just spending a few moments concentrating on your breath,
The gentle flow in and out of your nose.
Allowing this to be smooth,
Allowing the breath to be soft,
Just as your body relaxes and becomes soft as well.
It's normal for thoughts to enter the mind,
Just bringing your awareness back to either relaxing your muscles or to your breathing and softening your body.
Today's meditation is going to be a mantra meditation.
Mantra meaning a word repeated or a series of words repeated.
So you might like to think of a word that you would like to bring into your life.
You may like to focus on a word such as calm or love or peace.
If a word doesn't come to you,
It's quite okay to just say in as you inhale and out as you exhale.
So for the next few moments,
Just finding that one word,
Your mantra,
That you would like to bring into your consciousness and then into your subconsciousness.
So throughout your day,
Your subconscious is looking for this word and bringing it into your everyday life.
I'll give you a few moments just to focus on your mantra.
B Dia.
Each time those thoughts come into your mind and you start following them,
Just acknowledge this gently with no unkind judgement towards yourself and bringing your mind back to your mantra.
To come out of our meditation.
But if you choose to,
Please stay here for as long as it feels really good.
If you would like to gently come out of your meditation,
Perhaps wiggle your fingers and your toes,
Perhaps loosen your shoulders.
As it also feels nice just to roll forward and release the spine.
When you're ready you can gently open your eyes.
Take a few deeper breaths and come out of your meditation.
Namaste.
