Do this meditation when you have some clear time and space.
Set yourself up in a space that feels clear and safe and at a time when you won't be disturbed.
Make yourself comfortable either sitting or lying down.
Take a few deep breaths connecting to your body.
Imagine roots growing down into the ground from either your feet or tailbone.
Like a tree.
Get that sense of grounding,
Support and nourishment from the earth.
Now imagine a bubble of light around you.
It can be any colour you like.
Gold,
Pink,
Black,
White.
Any colour that makes you feel safe and protected.
Now imagine that you are in a place that you feel truly at peace and relaxed.
This may be a place you know.
Or maybe a place you have imagined.
It may be a place in nature such as a beach,
Garden,
Park or forest.
Or a place from a childhood memory.
Or a place of your own creation.
Go there with your imagination and feel the serenity and peace.
Take a few breaths in this place.
Invite into this space a figure of support and compassion.
Perhaps a trusted loved one.
An angel.
A guide or higher power.
Or a divine light.
Feel the blanket of their love,
Kindness,
Acceptance and security.
Now move your awareness to your body.
And invite any emotions being held to gently rise to the surface.
Without judgement see if you can label the emotion or emotions that you are feeling.
Welcome these emotions without judgement and give yourself permission to feel.
You are allowed to cry or be angry.
And you don't always have to be strong.
You have to feel it to heal it.
Remind yourself you are not your emotions.
You are simply experiencing them.
And that all thoughts,
Feelings and sensations will come and go.
They are impermanent.
Witness your emotions.
Feel the presence of the figure of unconditional love and acceptance holding you.
Feel this wise being enveloping you and speaking softly and kindly to you.
It's ok.
You are ok.
You are lovable.
You are enough.
You are not alone.
And we will get through this together.
Give yourself permission to let go of these emotions.
You have acknowledged them.
They have been heard.
And now you can release them.
Imagine you are breathing them out of your body.
Breathing them out into your bubble.
Where they are sucked through the membrane of your bubble.
And transformed into love and light.
Think of your emotions like the spectrum of a rainbow.
All of those feelings join into one white light.
That light being love.
Imagine breathing light into your body.
And feel it filling your body and radiating out.
Clearing those no longer held emotions.
Pushing them out and through the membrane of your bubble.
As your bubble fills with light.
Allow yourself to breathe in this light.
Feel this light soothing and healing.
Allow this light to heal the wounds of the emotions that have now left your body.
If you are struggling to let go of an emotion.
Ask why.
Maybe there is something to learn from this emotion.
Make your wise being to help you.
Maybe it won't happen today but know that it will happen and you will let go of this held emotion.
So that you can heal.
So that you can live in harmony and balance and wellbeing.
And now forgive yourself.
Forgive your past choices and discressions.
Forgive yourself for holding onto the anger,
Fear,
Resentment,
Grief,
Sadness,
Overwhelm,
Frustration,
Hatred,
Shame,
Guilt or any other emotions that have caused you more pain and suffering.
Know you dealt with your emotions the best way you knew how.
But now you have the knowledge and tools to act differently.
Take as much time as you need to feel this forgiveness.
Ask your wise being to help you if you need.
Sometimes the hardest thing we can do is forgive ourselves.
But you deserve to be forgiven.
So forgive yourself now.
It is time.
And now just rest.
Feel the loving support from the figure of unconditional love that is embracing you and enveloping you and holding you in their acceptance.
They are holding you in their love.
Say their words of support and know that they are never far away and can be called on anytime you need.
Thank them for their support.
And thank your emotions for the lessons they teach you.
For the human experience that you have been given.
Breathe into the space.
Let the entire body feel.
You You You You You You You And when you are ready now feel into your body Start to deepen your breath Gently bringing yourself into this present moment You can wriggle the fingers,
The toes You can stretch the arms up and over the head,
Stretching your feet away You can hug your knees in if you are lying down or just hug the arms around yourself Give yourself a big hug here You've done so well And just remember you have done an incredibly loving thing for yourself in this session Remember to keep your body moving,
Keep those emotions flowing freely You can use this meditation as many times as you need to help process these emotions And to release them from your body If you have had emotions come up that you are struggling with,
Please do seek out the help of a professional You have detoxed your body from these emotions And the physical body may follow,
So make sure that you have a nourishing meal Drink plenty of water and get good rest and sleep Be gentle,
