So let's settle into our seats.
Whether it's sitting up nice and tall,
The crown of our head is reaching to the sky.
Or if you prefer to be laying down on the floor,
Feel free to find your comfort zone.
And wherever you are,
Let's take some deep breaths.
Inhaling through the nose,
And exhaling through pursed lips.
Letting that exhale be long and steady and smooth.
Activating our relaxation response by letting our bodies exhale longer than our inhale.
Just taking a few moments,
A few breaths like this.
Now let's become aware of our external environment.
The temperature in the room that we're in,
The sounds around us,
Maybe the way our clothes feels on our skin.
Really letting the external environment come into our senses.
Being open and aware of everything.
Yet,
Disattaching ourselves from it.
Not engaging or analyzing.
Just observing.
Letting that external environment be for what it is.
Welcome and recognize the sounds,
The air,
The smell.
Without reacting or engaging.
Always returning our attention back to our breath.
If we find ourselves wandering off into thoughts,
Into feelings.
Just gently bringing it back to our breath,
To our internal sensations.
Staying present in this moment right here,
Right now.
Now shifting our attention from the external environment.
Now focusing inward on our internal landscape.
Like our breath,
Our emotions and feelings.
And coming into the realization that we can't control our external environment.
We can't control the weather.
We can't control others.
But what we can do is control ourselves.
Our internal landscape.
Our words,
Our actions and our thoughts.
Whether they are to ourselves or to others.
And letting ourselves feel the freedom and relief in this truth that we have the capacity to create our own reality.
We have the capacity to feel how we want to feel.
We have the freedom to truly be what we want to be.
We don't have to rely on external circumstances to give us permission.
But it all starts with our thoughts.
Our thoughts create a truly powerful reality for us.
What we think we become.
And just as we declutter our external environment from junk,
We also need to declutter our inner landscape.
From thoughts that are no longer serving us.
From destructive behaviors.
From unnecessary judgments towards ourselves and others.
To take this moment to declutter any limiting beliefs you have about yourself or others.
Any negative chatter that keeps creeping back.
Any fear of the unknown.
Any resentments of the past.
Or uncertainty of the future.
Consciously sweep it out and replace it with light and love.
With every inhale.
Bringing in light.
With every exhale.
Bringing out anything that's no longer serving you.
Every inhale bringing in joy and gratitude.
Every exhale releasing any stress,
Any tension.
And as you're mentally decluttering your inner landscape,
Breathe into the space you're creating.
The space for more light.
The space for freedom and love and peace.
Feel the slightness and airiness.
That's filling your body.
Really enjoying this warmth,
This openness and spaciousness that we're creating.
Really letting our minds rest.
Getting you ready.
Visualizing a shower of light coming from the sky,
The ceiling.
And it's filling you all the way from the crown of the head down to your toes.
Filling the empty spaces that you've just decluttered from any junk.
And it's rejuvenating those areas.
It's vibrating them with new and positive energy.
Giving it a new life,
A new purpose.
And this light is warm and comfortable and soothing.
And as the light fills your entire body from the crown of your head all the way down to your toes.
You feel at peace.
You feel joyful and free.
You're smiling.
And you want to spread this joy to everyone you meet.
And enjoy these last moments of warmth and peace.
And remember to always carry that light with you and to share it with as many people as you can with everyone you encounter.
Feeling the freedom and love and the space that you've created in your mind.
And when you're ready,
You can gently start coming back to the space.
Deeply into the belly.
Maybe wiggling your fingers and your toes.
And then gently blinking the eyes open.
And let yourself just a moment to come back.
Namaste.
