An awareness-based practice to promote human flourishing. Take a moment to notice that you don't need to do anything with the movements of the world, with the movements of the body or with the movements of the mind. You can rest in a deeper place of connection and innate basic sanity. What a relief.

What a relief.

Take a moment to find a comfortable posture,

One that allows you to be alert and relaxed at the same time.

If it's comfortable for you,

I invite you to either close your eyes or lower your gaze and start by taking two long deep breaths.

For the next 30 seconds,

I invite you to bring your curiosity to your senses,

To simply notice how the world reaches you through the senses.

The sounds,

The smells,

The temperature of the room,

The feeling of the feet touching the floor,

Just being curious.

And from those different data points that are coming through the senses,

I invite you to pay special attention to the sounds,

Noticing what you can be aware of without any effort.

Start noticing the world moving outside,

Maybe birds singing,

Maybe someone speaking in the next room,

And notice that you are not doing these sounds,

They just happen.

They might be pleasant or unpleasant,

But we don't need to do anything with them,

We can just notice them.

We can notice the world with its own movements and that we don't need to do anything with it,

We can just be aware.

What a relief that I don't need to do anything.

So letting the world outside continue to have its own movements and bringing the attention now to the body,

Noticing the body breathing,

The heart beating,

The blood flowing.

An innumerable number of processes,

Movements that are happening automatically at this moment in your body without the need of any action from your end.

So notice that you don't need to control your breath,

To beat your heart,

To digest the food that might be in your stomach,

You don't need to do anything at this moment to be alive.

What a relief.

What a relief that I don't need to do anything in this moment.

I can let the movements of the body just happen.

And allowing now the curiosity to dive deeper into the mind and being curious,

Noticing what is present there.

You might notice inner voices,

Images,

Thoughts.

The mind might be cloudy or it might be spacious.

Maybe there are thoughts about this activity,

Maybe thoughts about something you did before this practice,

Or maybe thoughts about something you need to do after this practice.

But notice that you are not thinking these thoughts,

They just happen.

They just come and go.

We don't need to do anything with them.

We can just notice that we are not our thoughts.

We are the one that is aware of the thoughts.

So we don't need to do anything with them,

We can simply allow them to come and go as if they were clouds just passing through the sky.

What a relief.

What a relief that I don't need to do anything at this moment with the movements of my mind.

And noticing that we can go even deeper,

Beyond the body,

Beyond the mind,

Beyond the movements of the world,

We can let them happen naturally and we can dive into a deeper place inside ourselves,

A place of stillness,

Of sanity,

Connected to our essence,

To our innate basic sanity.

Some people find that place in the heart region,

Others in other places,

But see if it's possible to allow your awareness to dive into that deeper place beyond the movements of the world,

Of the body,

Of the mind.

And for the next 30 seconds,

Just resting there without the need to do anything.

What a relief.

What a relief that I can rest in this place of connection without the need to control the world,

Control my body,

Control my mind.

What a relief.

And lastly,

Connected with a deeper place inside yourself,

Notice what emerges from within when you hear the following question.

What is really important now?

What is really important now?

And taking a long deep breath and noticing again the movements of the mind,

The movements of the body,

The movements of the world,

And seeing if it's possible to keep the connection with this deeper place inside ourselves and bringing that awareness to our actions in the world.
