Thank you for being here in service of you,

Your mental health,

Your spiritual well-being,

And your energetic alignment.

My name is Vasavi,

And it is an honor to be here with you for the next few minutes as we calm our minds,

Bodies,

Nervous system,

And prepare ourselves to get ready for an upcoming event.

Maybe you're speaking on a stage at a live event.

Maybe you have a podcast interview coming up.

Maybe you have a large conference that you're attending and you're feeling a little nervous about it.

Or maybe you just have so many things on your plate right now and you're feeling a bit overwhelmed.

Whatever the case may be,

The first step is to acknowledge how we feel.

If you have some trepidation,

Dealing with some social anxiety,

Maybe you have a deep desire to connect with people,

But you're also anxious thinking about it.

And so you want to reconnect with the part of yourself that so deeply desires connection and intimacy and friendship and community.

Anchor back to the part of you that so deeply craves that connection.

Feel into that part of you.

Coming from a place of your core values,

Whether you value community,

Friendship,

Connection,

Intimacy or all four.

Reconnect back to your deepest desire,

Which is to connect with others.

Because when you connect with others,

You connect with yourself.

When you connect with others,

You connect with yourself.

So we want to soothe and ground and center that part of you that gets nervous,

That experiences social anxiety when they have to enter into a new environment,

Social setting,

A gathering,

An event,

A part of you that is excited to connect and also a little nervous at the same time.

Can you allow both of those to exist in this moment?

No need to fight any part of you.

No need to beat yourself up for what you're experiencing.

Let us take three inhales,

Three exhales.

On your second inhale,

Ask for space and curiosity.

On your exhale,

Exhale any judgment towards yourself or others.

One more inhale and exhale.

Do you trust the parts of you that have brought you up until this point?

You have brought you to this point in your life.

Lean into trust the part of you that made the choices that it made.

No judgment.

Just observe some of the choices you've made that has brought you to this point.

If you can embrace and accept the choices that you've made up until this point and trust that everything you've chosen has been for your highest self,

Even when it didn't look like it,

Then maybe you can also see this situation that sometimes you get nervous before going to social gatherings once you're in the room.

And can you in this moment trust yourself and lean on the parts of yourself that have brought you through many challenges in your life?

As you continue to inhale and exhale,

Laying comfortably,

I want you to visualize yourself getting dressed to go for an upcoming event.

Notice how you get dressed.

Notice the fabric,

The color,

The pattern of what you're wearing.

Notice how you spritz your favorite perfume or cologne on the nape of your neck,

On the smalls of your wrist.

Visualize how you look at yourself in the mirror and give yourself a little wink and a smile as you get ready.

And as you continue to cherish your reflection in the mirror,

You're starting to feel excited to connect with other people.

You want to move that excitement through you.

So you take a deep inhale and exhale.

You take another inhale,

Exhale.

As you continue to visualize yourself getting ready for this event,

You're now waiting for your Uber to pick you up or get in your own car or get picked up by a friend or your partner.

And you're looking forward to going on your way to this event that you are beautifully dressed for.

You smell great.

You feel good.

You're energized.

You're ready to connect with other human beings.

And you slowly pull up to your destination.

You take three deep breaths in before you enter.

You remind yourself of how much value you bring to other people's lives.

And you take a deep inhale and exhale.

And you remind yourself again that you were born to connect with others.

And you inhale and then exhale.

You enter into the event and you are filled with gratitude that you can connect with so many different people from different walks of life.

You're overwhelmed with joy because your core desire of connection has been manifested.

You breathe in gratitude.

Exhale.

As you walk throughout this event,

You catch people's eyes.

You smile.

Maybe you get a snack or a drink and you're just basking in the glory of connection and community and humanity.

And you feel like you belong there.

You belong here.

You are safe in your skin.

You can connect with others with joy and ease.

As you connect with people new,

People that you've already known,

You carry on throughout the event from a place of calm confidence,

Curiosity towards others,

And acceptance with yourself.

You're proud of yourself for having navigated this event and turning inwards and setting the intention of service and gratitude towards others so that you can connect with new people,

Deepen intimacy,

And create new connections.

Be proud of yourself.

And as we wrap up today's meditation,

Take a deep breath in and exhale.

You are loved.

You are seen.

You are valuable.

You are a contribution.

Allow that to sink in.

Thank you for taking the time to ground yourself.

Be open and love yourself just a little bit more today.

My name is Vasavi.

Thank you.
