S2E38 - Centering Circuit - Staying True To Yourself

In this episode, I cover Centering circuitry in Human Design which is the energy of  empowering others to love themselves and follow their own unique path in life. I’ll explore how the environment and others in your life with activations in this circuit influence you, and share insights on how to relate to those with a lot of this circuitry while honoring your own design.

In today's episode,

I am covering the human design centering circuit,

Which is the energy of empowering others to love themselves and follow their own unique path in life.

I'll go over what the circus is,

How people that have a lot of activation in the centering circuit impact others,

How you might be impacted if you don't have a lot of the circuitry,

Emotional themes tied to this energy,

And how it applies to business and relationships.

Whether or not you have a lot of centering circuit activations in your chart,

You'll definitely be impacted by this energy,

Either through your own design,

If you do have activations here,

Or through other people that you encounter or potential planetary transits.

So this episode applies to everyone,

Regardless of how your design is configured.

So today we'll be talking about the centering circuit in human design.

And circuitry is basically how your energy moves through your body graph,

Through your human design chart.

We're all wired somewhat differently,

And anything that you have colored in your chart,

Whether it's your centers,

Your gates,

Or your channels,

Is your unique energy that you have your entire life,

And you're constantly broadcasting out to others who are picking it up from you.

Anything that's undefined or not colored in your chart is where you are taking in and amplifying energy from your environment,

From other people,

And also from planetary transits.

And these are areas in your chart where you're designed to become incredibly wise.

So we all are impacted by different areas of the chart in different ways.

The centering circuit is a very small but impactful circuit that is a sub-circuit of the individual circuit.

And remember,

The individual circuit is about empowerment and bringing change and mutation to the tribe and the collective.

I went into an overview of the individual circuit as a whole,

Including its sub-circuits,

Two episodes ago.

So if you haven't listened to that one yet,

Go ahead and check it out.

The centering circuit connects the energy resource of the sacral center to the love,

Identity,

And direction of the G-center,

And then to the willpower of the ego center,

Which is also sometimes known as the heart center.

Now,

It is centered around the G-center.

This is the center of love,

Identity,

And direction.

And it's about being attuned and centered in response to your life.

People that have a lot of centering circuit energy in their chart inspire and empower others to be true to themselves and loving themselves and their own life by being an example of self-love and authenticity themselves.

There is definitely leadership energy in this part of the chart.

However,

It's not by doing anything specific.

It's really just by being authentically themselves and living their life in alignment.

Something that makes this circuit very unique is that it's considered an aura-busting circuit.

And there are only two small sub-circuits in human design that are aura-busting.

So we have the centering circuit,

And then we also have the defense circuit,

Which is part of the tribal circuit.

And I'll be covering that in the next couple of weeks.

Now,

What does it mean for it to be aura-busting?

So it means that it draws others into its individuality.

If you are somebody that doesn't have a lot of centering energy in your chart,

And maybe you don't have a lot of any individual energy in your charts,

You might be more tribal or collective.

If you stand next to somebody that has a lot of the centering circuit or centering circuit energy,

You will automatically be drawn into being more individual yourself,

Being more true to yourself,

Being more attuned to following your own convictions.

And this can be very empowering,

And sometimes it can also be a little bit of a struggle for people.

Because if you're somebody that's very tribal and you're really about supporting others and the energy that you broadcast out is so much about supporting your tribe,

Your loved ones,

Your family,

Whoever is part of your community,

Tribal circuitry does sometimes have to sacrifice its own self-empowerment to help support others.

Now,

When somebody that has a lot of tribal is pulled in by the centering circuit,

This can be very conflicting.

This can also show up.

And I know somebody that has the entire centering circuit and most of the defense circuit.

These are both aura-busting circuits.

One is individual,

One is tribal.

And there can be a lot of push-pull and a lot of dilemmas in their own life about do they go and honor themselves,

Do their own thing,

Like really step into their individuality,

Or do they support the tribe,

Maybe sacrifice some of their individuality in order to really bring to the tribe what they're meant to bring.

Now,

We all have dilemmas in our human design chart,

And this is part of what we are doing in our life.

We are growing.

We are learning.

We are evolving.

We are working out some of those dilemmas in our own life.

If you're somebody that has a lot of both,

And I do have a lot of individuality and a lot of tribal energy in significant places,

So I very much relate to this kind of push-pull of like,

Okay,

Do I go off?

Do I do my own thing?

Do I really focus on this?

Or do I support my tribe,

My family,

My community?

There is that push-pull dynamic.

And of course,

When you experience this,

The solution is always to come back to following your strategy and authority because it will let you know what the correct next step is for you so that you can really be on the correct trajectory.

I heard a fantastic metaphor the other day that I want to share with you,

And I do believe this actually came from Ra,

Who is the person that originally channeled human design.

And he talked about a buffet.

So if you're standing in front of a buffet,

You have all kinds of different choices,

And you obviously can't take all of them because you would physically get sick if you would everything that's available in this big,

Giant buffet.

What your strategy and authority does is it helps you pick the correct items that are right for you.

So if you think about this in terms of experiences,

Strategy and authority guides you to the experiences that are correct for you so you are not wasting a bunch of time taking in all of these other experiences that are really not part of your trajectory.

So coming back to the centering circuit,

Unlike the integration circuit,

And we talked about this one in last week's episode,

The integration circuit is all about personal empowerment and survival in the now.

The centering circuit,

On the other hand,

Is all about empowering others to love themselves and to follow their own direction in life.

So in the high expression of this energy,

People with the centering circuit are unapologetically themselves.

They follow their own convictions in life,

And they empower others to do the same.

On the flip side,

In the low expression,

Somebody with this energy who's extremely conditioned by other people to people-please,

To sacrifice themselves for others,

And to not be themselves,

This energy can be very melancholic and feel very lonely.

It also prevents them from having that empowering impact on others.

Now,

Remember,

All of our energy shows up on a spectrum moving from the low expression to the high expression,

And you can be moving between them.

The goal is that you do want to be in that high expression.

But if you have a lot of this energy in your chart,

Just kind of recognizing where are you?

Are you empowering others to be authentic,

To be true to themselves,

To be unique?

Or are you in a place where you're people-pleasing and sacrificing yourself,

Feeling melancholic and lonely,

And not having that empowering effect on others?

Because remember,

Any channels you have defined in your chart are your strengths.

Anything that isn't defined,

You broadcast out to others,

They amplify it.

And you ideally are amplifying the high expression as much as possible.

And you get there,

Again,

By following your strategy and your authority.

I do want to say a quick little thing about melancholy here.

It is a part of the individual circuit all the time.

And the sentient circuit is a part of the individual circuit.

So there are going to be times that you're going to be feeling melancholic because individual energy moves in bursts and pulses in divine time.

And there are periods of time where nothing is happening.

And we set into these melancholic states,

Which are actually extremely creative.

This is where creativity is bubbling up underneath the surface to eventually come out at some point when there is a mutation ready to jump out into the world.

So it's important to remember,

You are always going to be feeling some melancholy if you have a lot of centering in your chart.

It doesn't necessarily mean you're in the low expression.

But you do want to check in.

Are you feeling melancholic and lonely because you are not being true to yourself and because you're people pleasing and doing what others expect of you instead of following your strategy and authority?

The sentient circuit naturally pulls in other people and empowers them to be authentically themselves,

To follow their own direction,

Regardless of the other person's definition.

Remember,

I said this circuit is aura busting.

And people that have this energy defined in their chart can condition other people to behave in ways that they might not normally behave.

The centering circuit does inspire transformation through being deeply and unapologetically themselves.

It inspires people to love themselves and also to love spirit.

And we'll get more into that when we get into the gates and channels of this circuit.

As somebody that has this defined,

Simply by doing what's correct for you,

By following your own strategy and authority,

You center and empower others to also be themselves.

How powerful is that?

And remember,

There's nothing you have to do.

This is really just about living life authentically as yourself.

That's how you empower and inspire.

You don't have to do anything specific.

People will just pick this up from you when you are in the high expression of this energy.

So the centering circuit does have two motors in it.

The sacral center is a motor.

This is the one that has consistent life force energy.

And then we also have the willpower center,

Which is also a motor that is not consistently active.

And anytime we see a defined will center,

Or really the will center in general,

Is we really need to focus on balancing work and rest.

Now,

One of the things with the willpower is it can willpower through all kinds of things that are not correct when it's not listening to strategy and authority.

And there is definitely great potential for burnout here.

This is intense energy.

The sacral center is involved.

The willpower is involved.

It moves intensely.

And it can also burn out if it is not taking the time to rest and recharge.

So making sure you get good sleep,

Making sure that you're balancing work and rest,

And that you're not powering through when the timing is not correct for you.

So the centering circuit is made up of four gates and two channels.

We're starting with the channel of exploration or conviction.

And this is the channel that runs from the sacral center with gate 34,

The gate of power,

To gate 10,

The love of the self in the G center,

The center for love,

Identity,

And direction.

Because this channel defines the sacral center,

Anyone that has it defined is automatically going to be either a generator or a manifesting generator.

And this is about empowering your inner capacity to really follow your truth and convictions by following your gut response,

The response of your sacral center,

And of course,

Your authority.

Anybody that has a defined sacral center only has two potential authorities.

One is sacral authority.

So just by following your gut response in the now,

You're able to make big decisions.

And of course,

The other one is emotional authority,

Which when it comes to the bigger decisions,

You do still want to wait out your emotional wave before actually taking action.

Now,

With this energy,

You are empowering yourself to follow your own truth,

To sustain your individuality,

And to bring behavior that does not want to be interfered with.

This is definitely one of those channels.

And this is part of individuality that doesn't like to be interfered with from the outside.

So it's something important to know about yourself and also to know about your loved ones that may have a lot of centering energy.

That outside interference can be really repelling for them.

Since this is very much about convictions,

People that have this energy can be a little bit stubborn and can be really challenging to change their convictions.

They really need to come to their own truth,

To know what is true for them.

And as always,

Through following strategy and authority,

When they live authentically,

They also empower others to get in touch with their own convictions.

Again,

This is that aura busting that really can help others become more true to themselves.

The second channel here is the channel of initiation,

Which connects gate 25 on the G-Center,

The gate of the love of the spirit,

To gate 51 on the willpower heart center,

Which is the gate of shock.

People with this energy can be very competitive.

This is very much about being first in initiating something new.

This is the channel of initiation.

They have to walk their own path,

And they also are able to initiate others into transformation.

And that transformation can actually be somewhat shocking.

So the Ra-Uru I mentioned earlier,

Who channeled human design,

Actually had this channel.

And his experience of channeling human design was quite shocking.

And he definitely also shocked other people awake through sharing this information.

There is a lot about surrender here.

You don't want to go looking for initiation.

You don't want to force initiation.

It's going to find you when the timing is right.

This is also projected energy.

And what that means is that it is best received when asked for.

So you can't be forcing other people into initiation either.

You do want to surrender and allow what comes to you to come through you.

Interestingly enough,

This is also the only channel that goes to the ego or willpower center that is not tribal.

The three other channels on the center are all tribal,

Are all concerned with the theme of support and supporting others,

Whereas this one is very individual.

Now,

This does connect to gate 25,

Which is the gate of the love of spirit.

There is a lot of evolving and mutation that happens here.

And there is a theme of aligning your ego with your higher purpose and your higher self.

This energy is also very competitive,

And it can inspire or empower competitiveness in others.

Now,

If you have somebody that has a 2551,

You may not recognize this about yourself.

You may not consider yourself competitive.

You may not like to be called competitive,

But ask people around you if they consider you competitive.

And you also might notice that people try to compete with you a lot because they are amplifying this energy.

So there is definitely a big element of competition here because this energy also wants to be first.

They want to be the first to bring something to the table,

To initiate something,

To bring something new.

And that is part of the competitive streak of this channel.

This energy is also very mystical.

People with this are really here to walk their own sacred path in life.

And there's a lot of courage here.

There's a lot of leaping into the unknown.

That's a lot of what the initiation is here.

And this can be considered like that spiritual warrior energy.

And it's about radical transformation.

Now,

I do want to say something about gate 51.

Oftentimes people,

It is called the gate of shock.

It is called the gate of shock.

And oftentimes people are a little bit afraid of this gate.

And I actually know somebody that has this gate that won the lottery.

So I want you to really consider that shock is not necessarily always something bad.

It's just something very unexpected that is life altering.

So this doesn't have to be scary or terrifying energy.

And also remember that the shocks that come with this energy,

Even if they are scary or disruptive,

Are really here to bring you into your higher self,

Into your higher purpose.

And it is part of your life's trajectory,

The things that you have to go through.

And I know that's really hard to hear if you're in the middle of something big,

If you're in the middle of a big,

Shocking experience.

And this is something where if you can surrender to the experience,

If you can lean into trust that you will be awakened into your higher self through this experience over time,

That can be really beneficial to not get lost in the potential despair that can come with certain types of shock.

So let's talk about the emotional landscape and some of the emotional experiences that can come when you have a lot of this energy in your chart.

So as I said before,

This is individual energy.

So there is naturally going to be some melancholy here.

There can be some emotional swings from those melancholic lows when nothing is happening and that creativity is building to more of those highs when change and mutation is coming through.

That's just a natural part of individuality.

This is going to happen whether you have a defined solar plexus or not.

You may feel like an outsider sometimes.

Anyone that has a lot of individuality in their chart are different.

They're here to bring change.

This energy is very different from tribal and collective energy.

And understanding that this is part of your purpose to bring that change,

That mutation,

And sometimes it takes time for the changes that you bring to be accepted into the tribe and the collective is an important element of this.

And to not take it personally,

Also making sure that you get plenty of alone time.

This is important for anybody that has a lot of individuality in their chart to be able to be in your creative process.

There may also be the potential of feeling judged as selfish.

And the thing with individuality,

And then especially with integration,

Also the centering circuit,

Is when you're truly following your strategy and authority and you're stepping into the highest expression of your design,

This is enlightened selfishness that also empowers others to be true to themselves.

And this is such an important part of human design overall.

We're here to decondition.

We're here to release everything that's not actually a part of who we are.

So we can step into our most authentic selves.

And this is what you do by being true to yourself and being selfishly enlightened or enlightenedly selfish.

Now,

When it comes to relationships and business,

People that have this in their design do really need freedom.

This is individual energy.

It does not like to be interfered with.

This is aura busting.

So it's helpful to know that this will automatically make others behave more uniquely and individually as themselves.

Again,

Especially if you're dealing with someone that has a lot of tribal circuitry and especially defense circuitry,

That can be a little bit triggering.

And like I said before,

If a person that has a lot of centering also has a lot of tribal,

This is gonna be one of your dilemmas,

Like really finding that balance of being true to yourself while also supporting your tribe.

And remember,

Following your strategy and authority will lead you in the right direction.

If you create an electromagnetic here,

And an electromagnetic is when one person has one half of the channel and the other person has the other half of the channel,

And when it comes together,

It creates the channel.

If you create an electromagnetic between the 30,

4,

10 in any relationship,

It's gonna bring more individuality to the relationship.

And with this energy,

It's really important not to succumb to the conditioning of what a relationship should look like.

You really need to follow your own convictions,

Your joint convictions about how your relationship is going to be correct for you.

It might not look like anything traditional whatsoever.

The important thing is just that it is true for you that both partners agree,

And it might be something completely different,

Unique and new from what other people have seen before or what is considered the Norman relationships.

When it comes to the work environment,

Somebody that has a lot of this in their chart,

They really need to move freely.

They may struggle a little bit in corporate environments.

You definitely don't wanna micromanage them like that.

In general,

With individuality,

That is not gonna fly.

And they are very well-suited for entrepreneurship and creative work.

So autonomy for them is key.

And of course,

There's gonna be other aspects in the chart that point to this,

But it's definitely something to consider if you have this energy in your chart.

You are gifted in empowering others through being empowered yourself and living your authentic life.

And this can also be very empowering to entire organizations through their way of achieving goals.

The 2551 is part also of the mystical circuit.

There is a very mystical aspect to this.

So people that have this energy may do very well in spiritual entrepreneurship,

Any kind of spiritual business,

Coaching,

Consulting,

Tarot,

Astrology,

Any of those types of things,

Energy healing can work very well with this energy.

If you do have strong centering circuit in your design,

Just remember to trust yourself,

Follow your strategy and authority,

Be true to who you are,

Because that is how you empower others to be true to themselves as well.

And if you don't have a lot of the circuitry in your chart,

Be sure to respect the autonomy and the freedom of the people that have this energy.

Don't take it personally if they are being enlighteningly selfish,

As I like to say from time to time,

Because you can really actually take advantage of this because they will empower you to be true to yourself as well.
