Welcome everyone.

You may want to begin with a seated position,

Perhaps aligning your back straight,

Comfortable over your hips.

Maybe closing your eyes and taking a few conscious breaths to welcome yourself here into this moment.

Take a deep inhale through the nose,

Cleansing breath out through the mouth.

Release all the old air in your body,

Another one just like that.

Deep inhale and then sigh through the mouth.

Challenge yourself to inhale a little bigger than you normally would on your next breath in.

Breathe in,

Inhale,

Exhale,

Sigh,

Let it all go.

And last one,

Inhale,

Breathe in big,

Invite sensation into the body and just feel whatever you need to feel.

Big and exhale.

Give yourself permission to release as you breathe out.

Just let your breath do what it will for now.

Give yourself permission to let go and be taken over by something greater than you right now.

Remembering to take as many sighs as you need to through the mouth and honoring the energy as it needs to release.

Relaxing the belly and allowing the breath to bring you into a state of awareness within.

Begin to connect with your body in this present moment.

Realizing that you are here now.

Today we are going to work through a practice of surrender.

When we've been in some way or another wounded or offended,

We develop some hardening of skin around that wound,

Some scabbing.

And just as any other limbic or survival response,

We often need to do that.

We need to protect ourselves.

Like most of our limbic reactivity,

If we can keep protecting past what's needed,

It actually begins to turn into our suffering.

We begin to walk around with scabs that no longer protect us,

But instead stop us from letting in and receiving lightness and love.

And so the practice of surrender is to cultivate that ability and capacity to let go when it's healthy.

To let go of any blame or any resentment around the armor that surrounds you,

Perhaps release the hardening and surrender into the softening of self.

To find healing and remembrance of your truth.

And so as you continue to fall into stillness here,

You can begin by starting to do a full body scan.

Start to notice if there's any place that you can let go a little bit more.

Any place that wants to just be released.

Find any areas of hardness or tension,

Any areas that you might be holding on to,

Old traumas,

Any of that old scar tissue,

Any wounding.

As soon as you can find them,

Can you bring awareness here and continue to soften?

Starting at the top of your head and slowly working your way down to the soles of your feet.

Just noticing wherever your muscles might be holding on,

Wherever you feel tightness or hardness,

Begin to invite in looseness and softness.

And as you scan your body,

You just continue to let go.

When your body settles into a comfortable position with no holding on,

Grasping,

Just peace and alignment with the forces of nature.

Your breath is calm and relaxed.

Your head and neck and arms,

Torso,

Legs,

Feet,

All settled into a position of complete relaxation here.

And starting at the back of your eyelids,

You can engage your peripheral vision and allow your eyes to sink back and wide into your eye sockets.

And closing your eyes down brings you to a space where you can begin to observe your breath and watch that natural breath arising within you.

Just paying close attention here to notice that you are witnessing life happening.

Without any interference,

Life is moving and pulsing through you.

And that natural breath is growing and intensifying and maybe even starting to accompany a beautiful,

Healing golden light inside of your form.

And every time you breathe in,

That light becomes intensified inside of your body.

And your breath is not localized to just your lungs here,

But now every cell in your body is breathing.

Observe this and feel the power and movement of your breath like rivers of golden light flowing throughout your entire form.

Every inhale and every exhale seamlessly connects and moves that powerful light through your form,

Through your system.

And there's no beginning and no end to your breath now.

It just moves and flows like a constant turning of a circle of breath within you.

And bringing your awareness to your spine now,

Start at the bottom and watch as that inhale travels up your spine,

Bringing along that golden light to this area,

All the way up to the crown of your head.

And then you exhale and it brings that light down your spine into your tailbone,

Maintaining awareness of the breath and moving up and down your spine with each of your breaths.

Golden light simultaneously moving with that breath and widening,

Expanding,

Aligning your central channel.

And feel a physical expanding of the abdominal organs and the lungs,

Giving more space for your soft beating heart now.

And feeling the bones on either side of your nose begin to widen and the muscles of your face softening,

Any remaining expression,

Personality and emotion,

It just gently melts away here.

Releasing any conditioning or labels you have had to wear and just allowing your true self to be exposed now.

Any hardness your body has had to adapt to due to stress or worry or concern is all placed on pause.

And you're feeling your bones and joints and muscles all starting to pool at the back of your body,

The edge of where you and the end of the atmosphere around you begins,

Becomes more ethereal.

Letting go a little more here and noticing how everything is moving,

Tingling,

Vibrating.

Your whole body is breathing.

Feeling the vibration of yourselves,

The vibration of your environment,

The electricity and the elasticity of your body,

It becomes more and more quiet and softer as all of your conscious awareness moves internally now.

Relaxing,

Releasing,

Settling,

Full body surrender.

Making the time to retreat within into the stillness of your inhale and exhale where the releasing happens.

And here you can allow yourself to peel back the layers and allow yourself to let it all go.

Feeling all of the life vibrantly existing within you now.

And feel the breath in the area of your heart.

If you could listen into your heart asking yourself,

What is my deepest intention right now for this practice of surrender?

What is it that matters the most to me?

And sensing where you feel the most sincere and sensing what is longing in your sacred heart space.

And just becoming more and more quiet and noticing what's coming up for you here.

Notice the call to action when you can take away all of the external distractions around you and really listen into the body and heart's subtle cueing.

Notice what's coming up for you here and continue to breathe into any sensations as they arise with kindness and compassion.

When we hold on to blame and resentment or hatred or anger,

We end up inside a narrative of a small and separate self.

And then that's the lens we begin to experience ourselves through.

The aperture gets very small.

We start to see ourselves only in this contracted version.

When we take the time to listen in into the quietness of this very moment as breath falls on the rise and fall on your chest,

Can you hear the small voice inside of you?

Can you hear the small voice inside of you that has been gently guiding your heart all along?

And to surrender is the choice we should choose at every chance we can remember for as we know that as long as the story goes we are not in control.

And if we continually choose to release our need for controlling the flow of our lives and stop ourselves from worrying about blocks we may hit along the way.

We allow divine grace to enter our lives.

The more we trust the journey itself,

The more fluid and joyful life becomes.

The more we constrict,

The more we worry or burden we pick up along the way,

The denser we become and then we sink to the bottom of the river.

Instead of feeling fear of all that may be coming from running towards the unknown in front of you,

See if you can try and feel the intrigue,

Delightment even that there is something new being born at every second.

Perhaps what you are trying so hard to avoid or hold in place may be in fact your dreams trying to cultivate and come into form.

Our conscious reordering of life around us gives us the opportunity to pause with reflection and intention and look deep into the patterning that we may have been holding onto.

And adjust with loving reverence what isn't serving us any longer.

There will be moments in life where it will seem of chaos and disharmony.

But in these moments if we can remember that the universe is reordering your life to match more of what you're calling for.

Can you lean in further here into your divine brilliance and wait without fear?

Wait knowing that this is a necessary part of your birthing process.

Keep faith and trust and continue with hearted intention but let go when it asks and take peace in the unfolding that will soon come.

Fear and scarcity is useless in times of reordering.

However trust is of the greatest importance.

While we are co-creating with its life force we are also at its mercy and we must learn to trust that it is in our favor.

This does not mean that we stop trying to create our best lives or that we give up in the face of adversity.

Instead it means we simply let go of the hold it has on our physical bodies.

We release the stress and the grip it has on us.

And so keep breathing here.

Release a little more with each breath dropping down closer and closer to the earth.

And feel how it loves you and feel how you love it.

And notice how good it feels to be in your skin.

Present to the life living within you.

And to arrive at this moment is an awakening.

You are being called to be present,

Fully present in your one precious life.

Breathe into the relief of this knowingness.

Notice any tension in your body,

In your neck,

In your lower back or your shoulders.

And take what may still be a shallow breath in your chest and see if you can make it more full and pleasureful.

These places of tension is where you are holding onto a secret fear that you are not supported or that you're not enough.

That you've been forgotten and that life does not love you or that you're failing.

See how these fears simply do not serve you and then let them go.

Acknowledge the ways that you may be weighted down and choose even if just for this moment to surrender.

And take a moment to notice the peace trying to lovingly hold you and imagine cutting the ties to these places that are holding you down.

And allow yourself then to be carried into the nourishing waves around you.

You are being asked to surrender to the beauty trying to unfold.

And stay with this as long as you can in this moment of truth.

Keep breathing and don't lose your feeling of expansiveness here.

Affirming I willingly and lovingly choose surrender.

You deserve nothing but expansiveness.

You deserve to be draped and wrapped and cocooned in this love.

You are not lacking of it.

It is yours here within you and there is a never ending supply of it.

And just be here and drink in your nature.

Drink in the relief of letting go of that tight grip.

Just allowing more ease,

More flow.

Drink in the relief of surrender here.

Feeling the rise and fall of your chest.

Feeling the vibrancy within your being.

You are being asked to surrender to the beauty trying to unfold.

The beauty trying to bring you into a far off land of dreams you've been looking outside of yourself for.

And understand that it has been trying to take you here all along.

So can you now just get out of your own way and allow it to take you there?

When you open your eyes after this,

Feel the rush of consciousness flooding back into your body.

And sink not into the old worn out ideas you may have been holding.

And let yourself be relieved by the journey that is your life instead unfolding.

Surrender.

Surrender.

Surrender.

Breathing back into your heart space and deepening your awareness to the breath in and around this space.

And in doing so,

Bringing your awareness back to the physical.

Perhaps wiggling your fingers and toes now.

Maybe rocking your head from left to right.

Softly reawakening your form in any way that feels good to you.

And integrating back into this material plane.

Knowing that you can come back to this at any moment in time to this sweet act of lovingly surrendering to what is.

Maybe it was supposed to be until now when I realize that I’ll constantly be surrendering something in life. Right now, it’s really apparent that I need this practice where I am in life to let go of the weight I’ve been carrying; otherwise, I’ll be filled with unnecessary weight and heaviness. The alternative is to lighten myself up by surrendering the ‘I am failing’ dialogue. Thank you immensely for helping walk me home to my real self.
