How to Wish,

Pray,

And Ask This guidance does not suppose the mechanisms by which any of these methods work,

Or their efficacy at all.

It is simply a manner in which you should direct any hopes,

Regardless of actually asking.

Let's begin with what you want to achieve when you're asking for something.

I'll use a common example,

Money.

When asking,

No one actually desires small rectangular pieces of paper.

So then,

Why are you asking for money?

Because you think it will make you happy?

Perhaps you're not that greedy,

You just need a little bit to get you out of a jam.

And so,

You pray.

What are you actually hoping to achieve when you ask for something?

It's a feeling.

If the feeling you are trying to achieve is happiness,

Then asking for money is a roundabout way to get there,

And you have to also be correct in your underlying assumption,

That it would make you happy.

Why not simply focus on the feeling you're looking for?

If that money is meant to get you out of a terrible situation,

You should hope for relief.

In a purely hypothetical exercise,

Supposed wishes were granted.

You wished for an amazing new job.

You wish for it because you think it would pay you well,

And then you could buy lots of toys,

And with those you could have fun.

It's granted,

The exact job you wished for.

It pays well like you hoped,

Only it turns out you're on salary,

And because of that you're working 80 hours a week.

You have no time to enjoy toys,

You don't even have time to go buy them.

In trying to have fun,

You wished for what you thought would get you that feeling,

But for that to hold true,

The job also had to pay well,

And the toys you bought had to actually lead to the fun you needed time to go have.

In a purely logical reduction,

You would wish for the exact thing you wanted,

Even if you had unlimited wishes,

Because it would be far more difficult to wish all of the different variables into existence one by one.

Why might just spend all of your time wishing,

Instead of feeling.

So focus on the feeling.

Let's try this once,

Together.

Close your eyes.

Think of a material thing you want.

This is easy.

Anything.

An object,

An event,

A person.

Wait for about 10 seconds.

Now think of the feeling you want it to bring you.

There may be several swirling around,

But select the strongest one.

If you can,

Put a name on it.

Is it satisfaction?

Exhilaration?

Fulfillment?

Security?

Relaxation?

Think carefully for 10 seconds.

Now focus on that feeling.

How does the core of your body feel?

How does it feel in your hands?

Think of the expression it puts on your face.

Is it a warm feeling?

Is it a cool feeling?

Is your heart pumping slow or fast?

Sit with that.

Feel your blood flowing through your arteries and veins at that pace.

When you draw up hopes and desires,

Understand that everything you experience is inside of you.

Things outside of your body do not exist until you perceive them.

To ask for a new car to exist is pointless unless you are able to experience it.

Go forward and search for the experiences you desire and don't concern yourself with how you think they should come to you.

That is all for today.
