This shanti mantra can be translated as "May all beings everywhere be happy and free." It is a prayer for the welfare of all, including our more-than-human kin; a vibrational bridge to expand our consciousness and remember our interconnectedness with the whole of creation; a powerful affirmation of universal love. I was introduced to this mantra by Amma (Sri Mata Amritanandamayi) who reminds us that, even though we may feel like small candles individually, when we come together, our collective light can illuminate the world. As you listen you may wish to visualize vibrations of peace spreading out from your heart falling as a shower of white flowers across Mother Earth. Mantra: Lokāḥ Samastāḥ Sukhino Bhavantu Language: Sanskrit Lokāḥ: realms, worlds, or all beings. Samastāḥ: all, entire, or everything. Sukhino: happy or joyful. Bhavantu: "may it be so".
