This gentle practice will help you reconnect with your dreams and deepen your relationship with the symbolic language of your unconscious mind. Many people find it challenging to remember their dreams or feel disconnected from the rich imagery that emerges during sleep. Through this guided practice, you'll learn to create a receptive inner space where dream memories can surface more easily, allowing you to witness and engage with the characters, symbols, and stories that arise from your dreaming world. Though not required, you may want to have a pen and paper ready to note down anything that emerges afterwards.

Welcome to this dream recall meditation.

This practice is designed to help you gently reconnect with the symbols,

Characters and stories that have emerged from your dreaming mind.

Dreams often speak to us in a language beyond words,

Through images,

Sensations and feelings.

And in this meditation,

We'll create a space of curiosity and openness,

Allowing whatever has appeared in your dreams to reveal itself more fully.

You don't need to analyze or interpret what comes up,

Instead we'll simply observe,

We ask gentle questions and listen.

This is an invitation to be present with your dream world exactly as it is.

So find a comfortable position and when you're ready,

We'll begin.

So allow yourself to gently arrive in this moment.

If it feels comfortable,

Softly close your eyes or simply soften your gaze.

Bring your attention to the weight of your body.

Notice the points of contact,

Your body resting on the chair,

Your feet meeting the ground.

Just feel where your body touches the environment around you.

Perhaps you notice temperature or a tingling sensation or pressure.

Just notice what it feels like to have a body right here,

Right now.

And now notice your breathing,

The gentle rising and falling of your chest or your stomach.

Perhaps the air flowing through your nostrils.

The gentle rhythm of each breath.

Just notice the quality of that breath,

Whether it's shallow or deep,

Slow or fast.

Just notice without trying to change anything.

Now I invite you to visualize something.

We'll do a brief visualization together.

So imagine that you're holding in your hands a snow globe,

A beautiful glass sphere filled with snowflakes.

It's been shaken up and there's snow whirling through the globe,

A gentle snow storm of little flakes dancing,

Swirling around.

And so just observe these snowflakes and watch how they dance,

How they swirl like a gentle storm.

There's so much snow moving through the globe that you can't quite see what else is inside.

There's just a hint of something beneath all that snow.

But for now,

Let's stay with the snow.

Just enjoy this beautiful spectacle,

All the snow dancing through the globe,

Swirling around in your hands.

Notice how beautiful this is,

How peaceful yet alive.

And as you watch the snow swirling around the globe,

You begin to notice that the snow is getting lighter.

The snow is beginning to settle gently,

Slowly,

And no more snow is falling from above.

It's just starting to settle.

And behind the snow,

Something is emerging.

It's one of your recent dreams,

Perhaps a character from your dream or a symbol.

Just see if you can gently hold curiosity for whatever emerges behind the snow,

For this character or this symbol or this dream story.

Without shaking up the snow globe,

Just let that snow settle.

Just let that symbol or that dream gently emerge from beneath the snow.

Don't try to make sense of it.

You don't need to make sense of it.

You just observe it as it is.

Just observe it as one with the snow that's now settling.

Notice what is coming through.

What color is it?

Does it have a name?

What shape is it?

What is happening in this scene?

No,

You don't need to jump to interpretation.

Just be curious.

What's happening there?

What does it look like?

Perhaps it has a sound.

Perhaps it has a voice.

And just be with it for a moment,

Very simply.

And now,

Perhaps there's a question you'd like to ask.

A simple question for this dream,

For this character,

For this symbol.

What might that question be?

If you'd like,

Just go ahead and ask that question now.

Ask it to this dream in the snow globe.

And when you've asked your question,

Just be quiet for a moment.

Just sit back and watch and observe and see if something comes back.

And it might be subtle.

Just a single word,

Perhaps,

Or a sound,

Or a color.

It may not be elaborate.

And it may not make any sense.

But just listen for whatever response arises.

And just listen to that response for a moment.

Just be with that,

Whatever emerges.

And there may not be anything.

That's okay,

Too.

And just stay with the image,

Stay with the snow globe,

Stay with whatever it is,

Whatever is present.

Maybe it is just the settled snow and just a faint color,

Or just a silent symbol.

And just notice the presence of whatever it is.

And now,

Let's just gently say thank you.

Thank you to the dream.

Thank you to whatever came back.

And even if nothing came back,

Still say thank you.

Thank you for the opportunity to witness this beautiful spectacle,

For the opportunity to simply be present.

And now gently let the snow globe go.

Set it carefully on the table or somewhere safe where it won't break.

And gently bring your attention back into your body,

Back to your breath.

Remember the breath.

Where do you feel it now?

Perhaps in your chest or in your belly or somewhere else.

Just notice.

And notice your body again.

Wiggle your fingers and your toes.

And just move your body slightly in your chair or wherever you're sitting or lying down.

Just notice that you have a body and what it feels like in that body.

And when you're ready,

You can gently flutter your eyes open and come back into the room.

And welcome back.

Welcome back.

You may want to take a journal and write down anything that may have emerged from the snow.

Or just anything that is present right now.

Or anything you want to remember or reflect on.

And if it is just something simple,

A single word,

A single feeling,

That is sometimes enough.

And if there's more,

That's also good.

Thank you for joining me in this practice.

I'll see you next time.
