Hi and welcome.
This is our meditation for cultivating a daily practice of gratitude.
Take a few moments to find a comfortable seat or you're always welcome to lie down.
Gratitude is an emotion that reflects our deep appreciation for what we value,
What brings meaning to our lives,
And what makes us feel connected to ourselves and to others.
Brene Brown wrote this definition and it deeply resonated with me.
Gratitude makes us appreciate and value the small to big things in our life and can help extract more benefits from those things.
We're then less likely to take our life for granted.
So we'll begin by closing down the eyes or soften your gaze.
Bring awareness to your breath.
Not trying to force or change but just notice.
Bring to mind an area of your life that is transforming.
Whether it be in your family,
Your career,
Or maybe it's you.
Take a moment to acknowledge the ability to heal and transform.
Whatever is shifting in your life is for you in your highest good.
Trust and breathe.
Let's take a few moments to acknowledge what you're grateful for.
Maybe start small with your morning cup of coffee or tea,
Your body and your breath.
Tell me what do you love?
Allow the feeling of gratitude to travel to your heart,
To your belly.
For these last few moments you may gently lift the corners of your mouth.
Bide in a gentle smile as you feel into your life.
We'll close our practice with a few affirmations that may be helpful throughout your day but mostly anchoring your vibration,
Anchoring your mind toward the good.
Silently repeat after me or to yourself,
I am grateful to be alive.
Thank you for today.
I am grateful for this moment and I attract positivity through gratitude.
I am worthy of love.
I am worthy of love.
Take a moment to deepen your breath again.
Coming back to the body,
Stacking one hand on your heart and then the other.
Let's close with a deep breath into your heart.
Inhale in through your nose,
Fill the chest,
Fill your belly.
Open mouth exhale.
Let it go.
Thank you for showing up for your practice today.
I'll see you again soon.
Namaste.
