Hello,

This is Brittany,

And I'm going to be leading you through a quick breathing exercise.

So whenever you're ready,

You can find a comfortable seated position.

You might want to rest your palms gently in your lap,

Either facing upwards or down.

And when you're ready,

If it feels comfortable for you,

You can close your eyes.

And just arrive here in this moment.

Notice how you're feeling today,

Your body and your emotions.

Direct your attention to your breath.

You don't have to change it or judge it.

Just notice how you're breathing today,

Right now.

Notice where your breath is creating movement in your body.

And let your breath just flow wherever it wants to go.

And now you're going to do a quick body scan,

Starting from the top of your head.

Just scan all the way down to your toes,

Noticing how your body feels in this moment.

And if there's any tension,

You might want to gently release that tension as you scan down your body.

If there's anything uncomfortable or tight that you can't release,

Don't worry about it.

Just accept it and move on.

Once you've completed the scan,

You can again direct your attention to your breath.

And just noticing what parts of your body are moving now while you're breathing.

And now direct your attention to your heart.

You might be able to feel it beating.

Or you might just want to feel your heart space in the center of your chest.

Take a moment to give your heart some gratitude for endlessly beating and keeping us alive.

If it feels comfortable,

You can place your hands over your heart as you send it gratitude.

And from this heart-centered space,

You can think about three things that you're grateful for right now in this moment.

If you raise your palms to your heart,

You can gently drop them back down into your lap.

Release any tension from your forehead,

Your jaw.

You can drop your shoulders down,

Giving into gravity.

And you might want to puff out your chest just a little bit to extend from your heart space.

Whenever you're ready,

Let's come back into our bodies and just gently wiggle your fingers,

Your toes.

You might want to rock your head back and forth,

Side to side,

Or gently in circles.

Coming back into the body.

And whenever you're ready,

Come back to stillness,

Remembering that feeling of gratitude.

Gently blinking your eyes open,

Ready to carry that feeling into the rest of your day.

Thank you.
