This is for anyone that is wanting to dive deeper into their dream birth. Through guided visualization, you will see, hear and feel what is in and around you during your labor and birth. This is to help you understand your true desires so you can intentionally create and build the environment that will help you feel safe and empowered the most, regardless of where you choose to give birth. Inside the meditation will be a chance to pause and journal down what it is you saw and felt in your space.

Welcome to your meditation to help you get clear on your desires,

Your wishes,

And your intentions for your dream birth.

So find a comfortable place to sit or lie down wherever you feel safe.

Please do not do this if you are driving.

Wait till you're home or parked.

I invite you to close down your eyes or you can soften your gaze looking down the floor,

Whatever makes you feel safe.

And I want you to settle down into your body,

Feeling the tension release from your shoulders,

Your neck.

Maybe that's dropping your neck down,

Looking at the floor,

Rotating your neck side to side.

Maybe that's lifting your shoulders up first and then letting them fall down by your ears gently.

Now feel the relaxation travel down your back,

Down your stomach,

Down to your hips as you feel your hips open and soften into the surface you're sitting on or lying down on.

Feeling your legs melt into the surface,

Your knees rest,

Your feet feeling grounded on the surface that you are lying or sitting on,

Allowing your whole body to become limp and loose and open to receiving any messages that come to you during this meditation.

Taking a deep inhale through your nose,

Feeling the air travel up and down your throat,

Deep into your chest as you feel your lungs expand open to your belly,

Expanding up and then back out down through your mouth and deepening your breath again in your nose.

Feel it travel up and then down your throat through your chest as it expands your rib cage to your belly,

Traveling back up through your chest,

Your throat,

And then out your mouth,

Letting all the tension,

Worries,

Fears out of your mouth for they are not needed right now.

Settling deeper into your body.

If it feels good,

You can even roll your eyes up and back,

Staring at your third eye or the center of your forehead internally.

If this is uncomfortable,

You do not need to do it.

This is only an invitation to try.

I want you to imagine you are in the space that you chose to give birth,

The space that feels safest to you,

That feels warm,

That feels welcoming,

Space that you feel in control of.

Take a look around this room.

See where you are.

Notice the smells.

Notice the sounds.

Notice the feelings.

What do you see on the walls?

Maybe it's blank.

Maybe you see lights,

Pictures,

Affirmations.

Maybe the TV's on.

Maybe it's not.

Notice what sounds you hear outside of this room and inside of this room that will make you feel safe.

Notice what pops up and be curious,

Not changing anything,

But just becoming curious of what you hear,

What you're sensing.

Notice if anything pops up that surprises you.

Now pay attention to who is in the room with you.

Who is it that is there helping you to feel safe and comforted?

Maybe it's your partner.

Maybe it's your mother.

Maybe it's a friend.

Maybe it's more than one person or no one.

Noticing who is in this room with you right now.

It could even be someone you wish could be there,

But physically you know they are not able to.

Just become curious of who's in the room with you.

How many?

How often?

Maybe they aren't in the room with you,

But they are in the space,

In the same location.

Feel your body right now.

Feel inside your chest and your shoulders.

Notice what they're doing.

If the birth location you are picturing in your head is creating a sense of excitement in your body or heaviness in your body,

Notice what you're feeling,

The sensations that are coming up in your body as you imagine and picture your birth.

Imagine the most intense part of labor.

Imagine what you're doing.

Imagine how you are coping,

How you're making it through.

Notice what is working for you.

What do you see yourself doing that is helping?

Notice what your partner is doing and your birth team.

And your birth team,

The team that you have chosen to be at the most sacred time of your life.

Notice how they are helping you.

Noticing what you're needing and wanting and desiring to have happen within you and around you as you ride the waves.

As they rise and they fall through the rest periods and the active periods of labor.

Noticing your space,

Your environment,

The people,

Sounds,

Smells.

Now imagine you are giving birth.

You are pushing your baby out into this world.

Noticing the space that you're in.

Noticing the people,

What they're doing.

Notice how you are handling this.

Notice what you are doing.

Maybe it's a phrase you say.

Maybe it's an action you do.

Pay attention to the position that you are in and if it feels good,

If it feels powerful,

If it feels exciting.

Becoming curious,

Not trying to change or let ego come in and justify or try to make sense of what you're feeling and seeing and noticing come up for you.

Even if it's not what the original plan looked like.

Just noticing what's coming up for you.

This is a game of curiosity and wonder.

Let it surprise you.

Noticing what your partner is doing,

How they're helping you,

How they feel,

If they are feeling confident and excited with you.

Just noticing.

Just an observer outside of this room looking in.

You are seeing this unfold.

Noticing the sensations in your body in this moment right now.

As you stand as an observer of this birth,

Your dream birth,

Ideal birth scenario playing out in front of you like a movie,

What do you see?

What feelings and emotions come up for you as you are watching this play?

Pulling those feelings up and out into you.

How can we take this and merge it with the reality of what you decide to choose for your experience now?

How can we allow birth to mold,

To shape,

Expand your expectations of yourself,

Of what you're capable of?

How can you use it to empower yourself?

Now,

If you would like to slowly open your eyes,

You can move your fingers,

Your toes,

Your shoulders up and down,

Rolling your neck,

Coming back into your body in this moment,

Feeling the sensations overwhelm you and know that that is okay.

I invite you in this moment to get your journal and a pen or something you can write with or write on.

And as much detail that you can remember through this experience that you just took with me through this journey we did together,

I want you to write down as many things that you can remember that popped out to you,

Things that surprised you,

Things that you found interesting that maybe you weren't thinking of before.

Anything that popped up that you want to revisit,

Re-explore.

I want to remind you that you have innate wisdom that lives deep inside of you,

That you were born with.

You were born with so much ancient wisdom that your soul deeply knows.

And when we give our time and when we give ourself time to quiet the mind and the body,

We give our soul and our intuition,

Our inner knowing,

Our inner guide,

A chance to speak.

The visions that you see,

The thoughts that you think that at first seem unattainable are really a whisper from yourself to dig deeper,

To get curious on what that means,

What that looks like for you.

Even if your dream,

Birth scenario that you picture and you imagine in this moment you feel like is a waste of time because you can't have that.

This is where I want you to get curious and expand the expectation.

How can you still have the feelings that you felt during this journey together and carry them with you throughout your birth journey,

No matter where you are giving birth?

That is a journal question I would love for you to explore is how can I be with myself even when things are going a different direction?

And then the next one is I want you to choose three words that came up for you during this journey or more if you prefer or even one that this word,

This feeling that you want to feel throughout your birth journey,

You can take this word and implement it throughout your birth no matter where you give birth.

If you are choosing a hospital birth and your dream birth scenario was a home,

Maybe get curious on why you're choosing a hospital birth and what it would look like if you chose a home birth.

What would that look like and what deciding factors are helping you make the decision and what those decisions are based from and just getting curious.

Thank you so much for taking this journey with me.

I am proud of you for expanding your mind and diving deep into your subconscious to explore your inner guide,

Your inner knowing and getting curious with yourself.

All right.

I love you,

Friend.
