I'm grateful we've gathered here to share in breath and invoke loving prayers.

Take a few moments to settle into your chosen position for the practice.

Invite in full body relaxation.

Bring to mind someone or something you'd like to pray for.

Imagine that someone or something deeply blessed and well,

Abundant,

Alive,

Healthy,

Cared for and loving.

Dream freely and creatively.

Imagine with all of your inner senses and notice how that feels in your body.

Breathe into that feeling,

Gently encouraging it to expand throughout your body.

We begin our breath work practice,

Two seconds in and four seconds out,

Through your nose.

Breathing out and inhale,

Exhale,

Inhale,

Exhale,

Inhale,

Exhale,

Exhale,

Inhale,

Exhale,

Inhale,

Exhale,

Inhale,

Exhale,

Inhale,

Exhale.

Each inhale,

Breathe fresh energy and light into the feelings evoked by your loving prayer.

With each exhale,

Soften a little bit more,

Exhale,

Exhale.

Allow the feeling and energy to expand through more of your body,

Exhale.

What's it like to bathe in them,

Exhale,

To vibrantly bring them alive with each breath.

Each exhale is a new opportunity to surrender.

Thanking this moment,

Release it into that which unfolds anew,

Inhale deeply and fully exhale,

Pausing,

Empty of breath for about 60 seconds.

Let your body relax deeply.

When the first urge comes to breathe in,

See if you can let it pass and relax more.

If a second or third urge come,

Take a quick inhale and then empty out and pause again.

Receive a gentle inhale and let it go,

Then breathe in fully,

Lifting energy up your spine into the middle of your brain and hold.

Full of breath,

Pelvic diaphragm and low belly scoop in and up gently.

Chin slightly tucks to contain the building energy and release.

Return to a natural breath,

Resting for a few moments.

That someone or something you were praying for,

Bring them to mind again.

Imagine them blessed with deep love,

Freedom,

Peace,

Beauty and grace.

How does that feel in your system?

Breathe into that new feeling and expand it.

With two second inhales and two second exhales,

In through your nose and out through your mouth.

When you meet some of those grumpy spots,

The walls.

The pains.

What if they're from history echoing through your mind and body?

If you're not sure,

Look around.

Sense your present moment and verify you're safe enough.

That things going on around you are not the cause of these discomforts.

If it is history echoing.

What can you learn about it?

How can you imagine it evolving?

Inhale deeply and fully exhale.

Pausing,

Empty of breath for about 75 seconds.

Body softening into the earth and sky.

Turning your attention to the silence within and beyond all things.

When that first urge comes to breathe in,

You can play with letting the urge pass.

Maybe even a second urge.

If another urge comes,

Quickly inhale and exhale.

Come back to the empty pause.

Softly inhale,

Release it with a sigh.

Inhale fully,

All the way up your spine into your brain.

Into your brain,

Light up your brain and pause.

Full of breath.

Pelvic diaphragm and belly scooped in and up gently.

Chin tucked a little.

Release any excess tension as the energy and light infuses into every cell of your being.

And exhale.

Rest and breathe naturally for a few moments.

One more round of breath retentions.

Breathing in fully and then emptying out.

Pausing in silence,

Space,

Phenomena come and go.

And yet deep within and beyond.

What do you recognize there?

Gently inhale and exhale.

And now inhale fully,

Imagining filling yourself with light and pure potential.

Holding gently,

Steeping in the vibrance of this energy.

Now release and rest.

Breathing easefully.

Letting the earth carry you.

Letting the sky move through you as breath.

Returning one more time to your living prayers for that someone or something.

Blessing them by seeing them.

Hearing them.

Feeling them.

And healed.

Love.

Loving.

Free.

And peaceful.

Vividly imagining this to be already true for them.

Calling forth your deep soulful creativity.

Tuning into how that feels.

Bathing in it.

Releasing any and all efforting.

Rest.

Bear witness to the effects of your practice.

Bear loving witness to this.

Right here.

Right now.
