This meditation is for those days where you're feeling stressed or anxious or anyone who struggles to feel out of survival mode at any time.

So begin by taking a comfortable seat,

Ideally some position that allows you to sit up nice and tall,

And roll the shoulders down the back,

Growing tall through the crown.

Take a deep breath in through the nose,

Filling the belly,

And exhale out the mouth,

Softening through the shoulders and the neck.

Take another deep breath in as you grow taller through the spine,

And a big sigh out as you soften the back of the neck and the shoulders and the jaw.

And one more time,

Deep breath in,

Biggest breath you've taken today,

This time holding it at the top,

And big audible sigh as you drop the shoulders,

Soften the face and the scalp,

The chest,

And just begin to arrive here,

Trusting that you can let go fully for a few minutes inside this container together,

And allowing your mind to soften.

With each breath out,

Seeing if you can relax any tension just a little bit more.

And when you're ready,

Begin to think about how it feels to be in survival mode,

Or what you might notice more as anxious,

Overwhelmed,

Overstimulated,

Constantly planning,

Thinking,

Rerunning scenarios.

And notice as you think of this what is happening in your body.

Maybe you feel tension in your neck and your shoulders start to round.

Just notice the sensations that come with this experience,

Releasing the stories or the words or the memories,

Just feeling in your body and asking this sensation,

What would it feel like if I could just let it go for one moment?

And imagining your breath gently releasing the tension,

Imagining a light dusting off your shoulders.

What would it feel like to not have to carry this weight?

Notice how that feels in your body.

And continuing to stay with the sensations,

As I say a few affirmations.

You are right where you need to be.

You are supported.

You always have been and always will be taken care of.

It is okay to let go and trust.

When you trust,

You create space for creativity,

Rest,

And play.

And just begin to imagine yourself maybe crossing your hands behind your head and laying down on a soft surface of your choice,

Maybe in the grass,

Outside,

Wherever your mind wants to go.

And feel yourself beginning to release the stress back to the earth.

Feel yourself embracing the support of Mother Earth,

Maybe even feeling grateful for this small space of time to let go.

And notice how your body feels in this place as you move from survival brain into thrive brain.

Taking a snapshot of what it feels like in your body to be in this place of surrender,

So that you have something to come back to in your body when you're feeling anxious or stressed or overstimulated.

And begin to deepen your breaths and come back into the present moment,

Into your seat,

And just give yourself thanks for taking a moment to calm your mind today.

Because the more you can reduce this cortisol and survival mode,

The better all parts of you can work,

The more capacity you have for joy and peace and light.

And may you have a peaceful day today.

Thank you for practicing with me.

Namaste.
