Hello,

My name is Jacqueline and I'd like to thank you for joining me on this short meditation.

One of the simplest of all meditations,

Yet one of the most powerful and rewarding,

Is meditating on the breath.

Doing this on a daily basis helps us relax and settle our mind chatter.

This technique also provides a solid foundation to begin any long or short meditation session.

Let us begin with this short meditation.

Make yourself comfortable either sitting or lying down.

Know that thoughts will come in and when they do simply acknowledge them and then let them go.

So as you make yourself comfortable,

I want you to gently close your eyes.

Breathe normally as you relax any part of your body that is tense.

Your shoulders,

Your arms,

Your legs,

Your back,

Your jaw.

Now we will begin counting our breath on each exhalation and when we reach ten we will begin again until we have completed three rounds.

So as you breathe in and breathe out,

One.

Breathe in and breathe out,

Two.

Three.

Four.

Five.

Six.

Seven.

Eight.

Nine.

Ten.

Six.

Seven.

Eight.

Nine.

Ten.

And we will repeat this.

Breathe in and breathe out,

One.

And one last round.

Breathe in and breathe out.

And one last round.

Breathe in and exhale,

One.

And ten.

And ten.

Now bring yourself back to the room and open your eyes.

Thank you for joining me on this short meditation.

Have a lovely day.
