This breathing meditation practice is designed to help you to let go,

To let go of anything that's perhaps no longer serving you,

Whether it be a recurring thought or habit,

An emotion,

Any difficulty that you're ready to release.

You see,

When we're holding onto tightly,

There's not as much room to receive.

So we're gonna free ourselves up energetically and mentally and maybe even physically so that we make the space to receive more of what it is we want.

So let's get started.

Get comfortable,

Seated or lying down,

Whichever you'd prefer today.

And as always,

Just begin to tune in.

Tune in to whatever's beneath you that's supporting you so that your body can start to soften and let go of any held or felt physical tension.

And then when you're ready,

Allow a nice full breath to fill you.

And gently let it go.

And maybe you can feel yourself soften a little bit more physically here as the shoulders drop and the face relaxes.

And one more time like that,

Breathing in.

Releasing the breath,

Physical tension,

Maybe even the past or future as you become present to this.

And then again,

Just observe your body and what's beneath it.

Let yourself land.

And as you begin to witness the flow of breath as it gently moves in and out of your body,

Notice perhaps where it feels a little tight,

A little restricted,

A little uneven.

And then I'll just invite you to smooth it out.

And as you physically make the breath a little smoother and fuller,

Notice how that starts to shift your experience in this moment.

And now see if you can allow a fuller breath to move in.

Feeling that inner spaciousness it creates.

And relax a little bit more physically and energetically as you breathe out.

Filling up to a comfortable amount,

Feel the ribs widen if possible.

Letting your breath go when you're ready.

So you soften and settle.

Continue like that,

Finding a really comfortable but fuller pace of breathing.

And now each time you breathe out,

Ask yourself what else you might like to release with your breath.

Is there a situation that your mind keeps going to that you might like a little freedom from?

Is there a recurring thought that you might like the breath just to carry away?

Whatever it is,

Is perfect.

See if you can invite your breath to help move it out.

See if you can be willing to release any amount of it.

Even if it's not all ready to go,

That's okay.

And so the awareness right now is on the exhales.

Keep breathing out,

Keep letting go until your body's ready for the next in-breath.

And then keep releasing through your out-breath any tackiness,

Any stickiness,

Any residue of discomfort.

Maybe you're releasing some anxiety,

Some stress,

Some worry,

Or some fear.

It's really personal.

And if you find yourself slumping,

Go ahead and sit up nice and tall if you're seated so that you feel the structural,

Internal support within you holding you up here with strength and solidity.

And around you.

And a firm desire to take care of yourself.

And let all of the tension and muscles soften as you exhale.

Any tense,

Habitual thoughts,

Worries,

Emotions,

Or patterns start to melt away.

And then come back up.

And then come back to noticing your breath.

And again,

Just let it be smooth and fluid.

Notice how you're feeling as you physically and energetically and emotionally have begun to release some of what you no longer want to hold.

You've opened up some energy.

You've created an inner spaciousness and a freedom that now you can invite to fill up with that which your heart truly desires.

So see if you can draw a line between your breath and your mind so see if you can drop your awareness into your heart space so that you can ask your heart this loving part of yourself what it is that you truly desire.

What it is that you would like to invite a little bit more of into your body,

Into your energy field,

Into your awareness so that it's not coming from such an intellectual or analytical place,

But rather from a feeling,

Tender,

More emotional,

Love-based place.

And if you could love yourself so fully right now that you could gift yourself with something really beneficial and profound,

What would that be?

It could be more ease,

More comfort,

More forgiveness or acceptance.

It could be a situation that you'd like to begin to manifest.

It could be more emotional in nature.

Just tune in.

See what shows up.

You've made the space for it.

Now bring your awareness to your inhalations.

Allow the breath to flood you with whatever that is.

Fill up with it as you breathe in.

And then relax into it as you breathe out.

Let it gently and smoothly flow into your body.

Let it gently and smoothly fill you up from the inside,

A feeling,

A texture,

A residue.

Relax as you breathe out so that you're not grasping or clinging,

But you're just softening into it.

So continue as you breathe in just to allow it to move into you.

The breath is energy.

And so notice and decide what you would like to breathe in,

What you would like to invite into your life experience.

Maybe you can feel that inner expansion of the ribcage as you inhale.

And the shoulder softening a little bit more as the body relaxes into this experience as you exhale.

So continue to invite it in.

It may be more than one thing.

There may be different things.

It may be more than one thing.

There may be different aspects of it.

You might not even be able to pinpoint exactly what it is that you do want,

But you have a sense of it.

It's all perfect.

And as you continue to invite in something beautiful and relax,

Just notice the freedom that you feel internally and energetically and physically and emotionally.

You have the power to shift your mindset,

To choose your thoughts,

To hold onto or let go of whatever it is you want in this life.

And if you've slumped from being so relaxed,

Go ahead and lengthen the spine again.

Keep the shoulders relaxed and just feel your inner power.

And now we'll just seal the deal by taking a fuller,

Deeper inhalation,

Really expand and fill up with whatever that is.

One last time.

Hold onto it.

Whatever that is,

One last time,

Hold it in your awareness,

In your body,

In your energy field.

Let all your breath go.

Relax,

Soften.

Drop back into your seat.

Let your breath return to its natural cadence and rhythm now as you just stay tuned in for another moment or two to notice how you feel,

To notice that power that you have to shift your energy and your life with conscious awareness,

With mindful,

Conscious breathing.

In a sense,

You've let the universe know your desires.

You've planted the seed.

Trust that it will germinate and grow beautifully from here.

Take your time to come back.

Thank you for practice.

Namaste.
