Transcript

We continue today celebrating the new moon,

A wonderful new moon,

And I'd like to start by just going through a few interesting points about this,

This transformational time,

And some of these points may resonate with you,

And it's a useful way to come back to just being more conscious that there are always all sorts of changes happening,

And when we are aware of these changes,

Or when we have some sort of connection to these changes,

Rather than just being upset by them,

Then somehow we create a space of freedom,

Which is what meditation is all about,

And the new moon is especially powerful at this time,

As we come closer to what I call the super moon,

Or the full moon that's going to be a super moon,

So everything is a little bit more intense,

And for different people that will manifest in different ways,

The intensity doesn't need to be a negative as such,

It can be very positive,

But the intensity of the experience will be what perhaps remains as the fundamental aspect of what's going on,

The intensity of the changes will be what will make sense when these experiences are being embraced from a more conscious perspective,

And the conscious perspective is that everything changes,

And so even though there is an intensity,

We as human beings sometimes are reminded that these changes that are part of everyday living are not negative as such,

They're very useful,

They're an inner communication that we can open up to,

And one of the aspects is that this time now is deeply personal,

This means that we can open up to ourselves in a deeply personal way that perhaps has been neglected in being put into practice in the past,

So what this means depends on your experience,

It could be a deeply personal transformational time in a positive or a negative way,

It is all about transformation,

What we're going through now is all about transformation,

Not just on a deeply personal level but transformation whereby we will work on letting go or shedding those layers that are no longer useful,

Basically letting go of the old and creating the space to open up ourselves to new opportunity or sort of rebirth whereby when we look back at things we have the ability to look back at those things from a space of gratitude,

From a positive space of gratitude to understand that we are in perfect alignment to wisdom and everything even if intense,

Even if very powerful,

Even if not only deeply personal and transformational but difficult for some,

When we understand with this positive attitude of gratitude that we are in alignment to wisdom and that what is being reflected back in our experience is the understanding and embracing of such wisdom in our daily,

Everyday activities,

From those little things that somehow don't really matter,

The way that we speak to each other,

The way that we connect to each other,

The way that we speak to ourselves in circumstances which are difficult,

Do we approach our communication to ourselves in a positive,

Loving and kind way or are we difficult in the sense that we criticize and put ourselves down and create even more intensity around the intensity that is happening for everyone but perhaps for us happening in a difficult and perhaps more negative way,

Are we being,

Are we aligning to the wisdom,

Are we opening up into a state of deeper gratitude whereby we understand that everything is perfect or are we sort of looking at the imperfection and criticizing ourselves for being the creators of such imperfections or criticizing the world or criticizing other people or criticizing just everything for creating what is a series of twists and turns that is life and rather than get caught in the twists and turns,

What is being asked of us is to find the potential to rise and shine the truest colors,

The colors that are healing,

The colors that create a sense of lightness to rise and shine with these colors in such a way that life isn't a gray cloud or life isn't all about the storms but life is about the incredible diversity of experience.

So when we embrace gratitude in this way and we feel not just grateful for being alive but we feel grateful for the mystery of life,

Everything is so incredibly mysterious and we just sort of say within ourselves,

We embrace a thank you sort of attitude towards everything rather than criticize or get caught in the negativity of the mind saying it could be better,

Why am I doing this again?

Being loving and kind this year will allow for many new beginnings.

Being compassionate this year will allow for depth of clarity and new ways of understanding whereby these beautiful colors,

The colors,

The rainbow colors of the heart will manifest and shine in such a way that we can begin to trust again.

A huge sense of trust will be beamed your way,

Will somehow manifest in subtle ways in the things that you're doing,

A sense of trust that will open up this deeply personal space within yourself so that you can transform even more and shed those layers even more and let go of the old even more but most importantly you'll be able to open up to new opportunities,

New possibilities and gratitude,

The space of gratitude is just one of those possibilities whereby you open yourself in a way that is different than creating reactions and creating attitudes that are negative in their core and creating those attitudes and projecting them onto life and life experience.

So knowing this there are some very easy and tangible tools that you can put into practice that you can bring into your life and put into practice in your everyday living,

In your spiritual practice,

In your meditational practice,

You can put this into practice so that these new opportunities,

These new beginnings shine in this way where everything is more colorful,

Where everything is lighter and brighter and one of these beautiful tools is remembering to focus your attention around the belly area and you can do this now,

Making sure that your body posture is upright,

Making sure that you're receptive to the breath in this grateful open way,

Bringing your attention down to this area,

The lower abdomen and just being present to the way that you breathe into your body,

This is your connection to the world,

The solar plexus area,

The energy around the solar plexus area is your connection to the wholeness of your experience.

Don't limit the way that you breathe in through this area.

Don't force yourself to get caught in the negativity that then contracts the abdomen and prevents you from feeling this wholeness of your breathing,

Of your connection to the life force.

So as you breathe in now,

If you notice that this is what you're doing,

If your mind is caught in all the noise of just self-criticism or putting yourself in such a situation that doesn't feel positive,

Come back to this space,

The lower abdomen and feel yourself letting go of the negative and breathe in positivity.

With each out-breath,

Let go of the past and breathe in the newness,

The beginning of this experience as it's presented in this moment.

Deep breath.

Become aware,

Mindful,

That as you breathe in,

You're breathing in a warm,

Friendly,

Beautiful,

Luminous sense of energy that is your breath but is more than your breath.

Each breath is a connection,

A prayer,

A manifestation of love to this beautiful space that is the universe,

Manifestation,

The creative aspect of life.

This is your breath connecting in this moment,

Connecting to this warm,

Very tangible space that makes sense only as you come back to this relaxed letting go and as you breathe in,

Embracing from within this positive space of your breathing,

Breathing in this warmth,

This sense of gratitude that is now connecting you to the creative space that is the manifestation of life.

As you breathe in,

Every breath may be slightly different.

Every breath may just bring you a connection that makes sense just in this moment.

Let it go and move deeper,

Deeper and deeper into the space where the breath is simply a movement,

A reflection of the creative space that is the universe.

So you're breathing in with everything.

You're breathing in with the joy of life.

You're breathing in with the manifestation that is this creative potential that is all around you in all aspects of the world,

Physical,

Emotional,

Mental,

Energetic.

Just be aware of the wholeness that speaks directly through your breath as you breathe in and as you breathe out,

Let go.

Keep bringing your attention back to the breath if your mind wanders to whatever thought or whatever feeling.

Appreciate in this present moment how precious it is to breathe in and to be connected to this creative force,

What I call the inner light,

Connected in such a way where you begin to shine your truest colors in a way that is luminous and beautiful.

Consciously expand this space of awareness around your belly so that you're embracing not just the breath but you're embracing your whole body as it connects to the movement of breathing.

Every cell within your body,

Your entire body is breathing in as you breathe in through your skin,

Through your organs,

Breathing in a luminous energy that settles in your body and begins to create this warm,

Appreciative sense of well-being.

In this moment you are connected to the life force and the life force connects you to everything that is positive,

Everything that is life-giving.

As you breathe in,

You're breathing in this luminous healing energy into your body just like the new moon,

A beginning,

Allows you to transform the old,

This seed that is being planted within your sense of connection to the world,

This seed of lightness that is being planted within this conscious being that you are is now allowing you to consciously expand into a space of awareness,

Perhaps in stillness,

Perhaps the awareness doesn't even need the mind to understand the awareness.

You're not aware that you're aware but your body settles into a space where you're aware to such a degree that you begin to notice the energy flow,

More than just the energy flow of your breathing but the energy flow,

The subtle energy flow that expands into your whole body,

Into all aspects of your body,

The organs,

The cells of your body.

It's almost like just coming back to a restful space,

Deep breath,

This restful space allowing you to connect to the subtle energy that allows for the body to relax even more,

The subtle energy being that everything is perfect,

Change is okay,

There is no need to hold on,

There is no need to even react to situations,

Just acknowledge things as they are,

Embrace them,

Embrace them from this state of gratitude,

It's good to be alive,

It's good to be connected to life,

It's good to breathe in,

It's good to increase my self-awareness beyond just my thoughts.

Be aware that you're now,

You're not just aware of how your body feels,

You're aware of what is beyond the mind and what is beyond the emotions,

You're aware of this moment as you breathe in and breathe out,

Your whole body is relaxed,

Your shoulders are relaxed,

Your jaws are relaxed,

Your mind is relaxing,

Feelings are relaxing and you're just coming back to this wonderful space of stillness,

Deep breath.

As self-awareness as this mindful space of awareness expands within your being,

Not only are you coming back to this state of gratitude but you're actually slowly,

Slowly embracing the new beginnings that this beautiful moon brings to us today.

The new beginnings are opportunities to make choices that bring about healing within the body,

That bring about change so that we let go of the old and embrace the new and you're allowing for this choice right now in the way that you're breathing,

You're letting go of the old,

Whatever contracts the abdomen area and you're embracing the new but you don't have to know what you're embracing because intuitively your awareness connects to choices.

In the beginning these choices are made beyond the level of awareness that is thinking,

They're just instinctual and you'll find yourself choosing situations that nurture you and create healing in a way that is incredible because it begins before you even become aware that that is the choice that you're making.

Just like swimming in beautiful water,

You just touch the water and the water speaks to you and the ocean speaks to you or the lake or the river speaks to you and you're creative in your communication.

Right in that present moment you're creative in your communication and as you begin to make these choices intuitively you'll see that you begin to see the bigger picture from a healthier perspective and you begin to see that the bigger picture shows you that the situation you are in right now,

Even though difficulties,

Even though there are difficulties around that may transform the way that you relate to the world,

This will no longer be important because this intuitive aspect of yourself now,

This intuitive aspect of yourself will now transform and change and you'll find yourself making wiser decisions but not through mental conceptualization but rather you'll be making these decisions directly in touch with this sense of positivity that you're now embracing as you breathe in and breathe out.

Let go,

Let go.

Deep breath,

Deep breath.

Wonderful.

As you let go you may notice that not only are you connecting to the inner wisdom that allows you to make wiser decisions,

Which allows you to open up to the breathing space that is around you and connect on a very powerful level of energy to the creative process that is life,

You may notice that you're turning off what I call the automatic pilot whereby you do things because you've done them before in a certain way that seems to be useful but now when you look at it from this deeper perspective of awareness you become aware that this automatic pilot,

Even though you're used to thinking or feeling or doing things in a certain way,

It's no longer very useful.

So you have a choice to let this go,

What I call the automatic pilot and you can come back to the breathing space that connects you with the deeper senses as well as the everyday senses so that you're alive in this moment and that aliveness creates a connection to the instinctual part of yourself.

So you listen to the instinctual part of yourself rather than the automatic pilot.

Many people confuse the two and think that they're the same but instincts are not the same as automatic pilot.

Automatic pilot is when you do things because you're comfortable doing things in a certain way so you're comfortable with a habit but instincts are when you are able to be so connected with what is going on with yourself,

With your body,

You're so connected and so aware of what's going on that you choose,

Even if that choice is difficult,

You choose to do something that you know is good for you because your body,

Your mind,

Your emotions,

Have the wisdom to know what is positive,

What is healing,

What is good for you.

So without looking,

Without trying to make sense of things,

Just connect to this instinctual part of yourself as you let go of the automatic pilot.

Let go of those thoughts and those worries and those anxieties and just connect instinctively to what it is that your body needs in this moment,

What it is that your mind needs in this moment,

What it is that your emotional body needs in this moment.

Not what it is that your mind is telling you or your emotions are telling you in this moment but what your instincts speak about and the instincts are connected to the abdomen.

So as you breathe in and breathe out from this area,

The solar plexus,

The abdomen area,

What you're doing is connecting to your instinctual self and allowing for these aspects that I spoke about,

The deeply personal,

The transformative aspect of the new moon,

The shedding of all layers,

The letting go of the old and the opening up to new opportunities.

The instinctual will guide you.

So there is no need to force yourself to try to think what is the best way forward.

Your instinctual self will guide you as you let go of the old,

As you open up to transformation in this state of gratitude that everything is perfect and your instincts then will directly communicate to you what it is that is important to keep you alive and happy and vibrant in this moment.

Without looking back,

Without looking forward,

Come here to this present moment and be present to the breath.

As you breathe in and breathe out,

Be present to the breath right now,

Letting go of the old,

Letting go of the past,

Letting go of whatever it is that your mind is so preoccupied with and come back to the stillness.

Be present to the stillness.

Deep breath as you let go,

As you let go.

Deep breath.

You may wish to continue in meditation for a few more moments,

Relaxing,

Coming back to the stillness and embracing the energy of the new moon,

Embracing the seed of light that is now growing within each and everyone here on this beautiful planet that we share.
