The Soul's Journey
by Tony Samara
The soul moves through the multi-dimensional realms in an interesting way that mystics and the ancient populations such as Babylon, who understood time in a different way, have known about throughout the ages. Together we take an 18-minute explanatory journey with Tony Samara concluding with a 5-minute guided meditation to learn about the soul, relax the body, clear the confusions of the mind and learn how to communicate dilemmas from a space of deep, stillness. Thank You.

Heaven's Hello,
Today I'll speak about the soul's journey and how when the soul journeys,
It can journey in many,
Many directions because space is infinite and it's also very multi-dimensional.
So the soul being a focused energy moves through these multi-dimensional realms in a very interesting way that we only begin to realize when actually when we are moving in that way,
When we're connected to the soul enough to be aware of the way that the soul functions within reality and how we perceive reality sometimes from a perspective that confuses our awareness and confuses our deeper states of consciousness.
And this has been observed by mystics throughout the ages and especially in the ancient times,
Thousands of years ago,
When people were much more in touch with the seasons,
Much more in touch with the many different things that happen throughout a day,
Throughout a month,
Throughout a year,
There was an awareness of time,
There was a usefulness within time that was observed and understood not only by the mystics,
But by the population in general,
Because there were no distractions,
There were no entertainments that we have today,
There were no gadgets that made life easy,
Supposedly,
You know,
Washing machines and dishwashers and cars and all the other things that we have,
Everything took time,
Everything required a certain awareness to function.
So the mystics of the ancient times spoke about things using parables,
Because sometimes if you try to explain something from a very conceptual perspective,
Then you create the very confusion you're trying to understand.
And hence why parables or little stories,
Little fables,
Were the favorite way of mystics to communicate this sort of dilemma and this complexity in a way that helped to guide individuals,
People today,
Also,
You know,
When we read these texts,
Or when we listen to these stories,
These fables,
Make sense on a deep level.
And it helps to guide us today,
As it did thousands of years ago,
To move to a state of deeper consciousness,
To a state where awareness is much more likely to guide us rather than just being caught by the entertainments of everyday life.
And very often,
The fables or the stories used the names of places which at the time represented certain dimensions of reality.
So we have,
For example,
In the Bible,
Babylon,
That's probably the most famous city in the Bible,
Maybe Jerusalem or Nazareth.
But Babylon,
For me,
Stands out a little bit because it means so much,
It's such a powerful place.
And,
Of course,
Without needing to know any historical facts,
Or you don't even need to go to Babylon,
To know that,
You know,
Babylon,
Culturally and historically,
Spiritually,
Religiously,
Has meaning for many,
Many people.
And there are many cities such as this that help to remind us of not the cities themselves,
But of states of mind.
And there are these types of cities everywhere,
In all spiritual traditions.
But it's very interesting when we look at how the soul travels through these experiences,
For example,
When the soul connects to Babylon,
What does this mean?
You know,
For me,
The connection of the soul with Babylon means that there is confusion.
So when you are in a state of confusion,
That is reflected,
Often reflected within you in a way that's beyond just the confusion.
So the confusion is not just outer,
You may be confused,
Should I study?
Should I not study?
Should I travel?
Should I not travel?
Should I buy this?
Should I not buy this?
There may be these outer aspects of confusion that create a confused mind,
But it's reflected inwards.
So whatever experience you're going through,
If you're going through,
Say,
External confusion,
Then you're creating an internal picture that maps the journey of your soul.
And very often your soul will get caught by that confusion inwardly.
This doesn't mean you must find a perfect way of interacting with the external situations at every moment of your life.
Of course not,
Because part of transformation is learning.
But it's very interesting when we look at the external being reflected internally.
Now,
I say this because I'm leading up to the whole point of this teaching that I'm transmitting to you.
And it is all about the mind.
The mind is so very powerful.
And the mind has been called many things.
So when you read,
Say,
Spiritual literature,
Or when you read religious texts,
Or when you read historical stories,
You need to remember that it's referring to an aspect of yourself.
So very often,
The city Babylon is not really about the city Babylon,
It's about the confusion of the mind.
The mind is very powerful.
And when it's disturbed by confusion or the many other sufferings that we experience when we're living life,
Everyday life,
And just having to interact with all sorts of different situations,
This confused or agitated or pain,
Pained or suffering mind creates an impression that goes deeper than just your thoughts or even your feelings or even your energy goes deeper down to an aspect of yourself that I call the soul where awareness is very,
Very present.
And if you're not careful,
For example,
With your mind,
And you allow your mind to get caught up in all sorts of tendencies,
And desires and wants and perceptions,
Then your mind can get caught in a place where there is not much freedom.
This is why an agitated mind is for sure,
A more difficult mind to interact with or communicate to,
To come back to say,
For example,
A more tranquil space to a more still space where you can make decisions that come out of freedom.
It's for sure more difficult to do this with an agitated mind than say a mind that is in connection or is in alignment with the presence created through meditation.
So this is important to know if your mind is not free,
And you're sort of pushed from one thing to another,
And there is this sense that you're not in control,
You're not able to sort of manage the situations around you in a healthy or in a peaceful still way,
Then recognize that it's not just that your mind is manipulating your situation,
But your mind is also manipulating the pathway that your soul moves through.
And this,
Of course,
Creates what some people call karmic energy.
This means that the energy of this pathway remains caught up very deeply within you,
Within the subconscious,
Within what is beyond the subconscious,
Creating sort of pathways that are easy to fall back into when,
For example,
The soul has to travel from one state to another.
So it's important to constantly remind yourself in everyday type situations,
Even when confused,
Even when agitated,
Even when in a state of pain,
That the soul is associated in connection with the mind.
The mind is not separate from the soul.
This is just something that in the Western tradition of,
For example,
Speaking or conceptualizing has become a norm.
We see the soul and mind as separate,
But actually there are different levels to the mind that get reflected in your experience of reality that unfolds as your destiny.
And to be able to make choices out of freedom,
Then it's important to recognize that the soul and mind are intertwined and connected on a level that's deeper than just our thinking.
So once you understand this and you understand that the way that the soul travels through experiences is very often determined by the nature of your mind,
Then you understand that you can create an essential freedom within the way that your soul perceives and connects to situations.
And you're empowered to do this much more than what is very often programmed into the mind.
So there is a certain freedom that goes beyond conceptual thinking,
But there's a certain state of freedom that can be explored and discovered within the mind when the mind comes to stillness.
This is why meditation is so very important.
We're not trying to control the mind.
We're not trying to punish ourselves for thinking,
For getting lost in anger,
Getting lost in pain,
Getting lost in suffering,
But we are reminding ourselves that the soul can find its freedom when the mind comes back to stillness.
And when you come back to the stillness,
For example,
In meditation,
And this is a consequence of meditation.
So actually there is no choice when you're sitting and meditating,
You do come back to more stillness than perhaps the experience prior to sitting down in meditation or lying down in meditation.
And when you know this,
Then you know that the soul is pure and that purity gets reflected back into the situation that is mental,
Meaning that your thoughts and your perceptions that you have from within the mind,
That mental energy relaxes and becomes more pure because the reference is your soul.
So it's an interesting thing because it's almost like the separation or the division or the duality that we so very often believe to be reality changes because of this sort of oneness and this connection that we are reminding ourselves of as we work with the mind.
And that is what we have to work with.
Some people dislike their mind because their mind takes them to the space of worry or takes them to the space of stress or takes them to the space of pain or just all those places.
It's a labyrinth of confusions and there are all sorts of things that a human mind will get caught up in,
Not just the impressions of the multitude of thoughts and deeds and associations and desires and wants and whatever else,
Attractions and whatever else,
Thoughts that come up and that make up a lifetime from a mental perspective that is a billion thoughts.
We're not even aware of some of those thoughts,
They just happen in the background and we become aware of them if we focus enough.
But all those,
They affect the soul.
And after death,
Those impressions force the soul to move in a certain direction.
So it's very,
Very useful to remind yourself that your thoughts need to be noble and pure and part of the meditational practice that allows you to come back to this deeper state of reality where you recognize,
Okay,
I don't need to waste so much time.
When you recognize what's going on,
I don't need to waste so much time and then you create a clear boundary so that you come back to the mind that is more complete,
That is more pure to help you to continue moving towards your true destiny.
And that is a part of yourself that you,
Only you know,
When you come back to your heart and you recognize all these things that I'm doing are not really that important,
What is important.
And you recognize your heart tells you,
This is what is important.
And sometimes it can be very simple things.
It's important to just be alive,
To recognize that being alive is a gift.
It's a beautiful gift that we can not just celebrate by enjoying the simplicities of living,
You know,
Tasting your food,
Breathing in the air.
If it's raining,
Making sure that you enjoy the sensations of rain,
You know,
Rather than always being caught up in the impressions that the mind creates through stress and agitation and pain and suffering,
Which is where we mostly go because of what is known as the negative bias.
So when we recognize all these things,
Then we come back to moving to a different city than say the city of Babylon,
Where most of us tend to spend a lot of time.
The city of Babylon is the city of confusion,
You know,
Where communications just don't make any sense.
So your mind is spinning and doesn't really make sense because it's not helping you to move and do anything that's productive or useful or makes you happy or makes anyone happy.
The confusion just creates a whole structure in itself that then becomes very much part of the deeper structures of yourself and also people around you,
The other constellations around you.
This is why someone who moves from Babylon to say,
A beautiful city that represents love or that represents beauty,
For example,
Nazareth or Jerusalem or under the Bodhi tree,
Where Buddha sat and became enlightened.
Wherever these beautiful cities represent a space where your mind can come back into empowerment and recognize that by letting go of what is not useful and reminding yourself of what is useful,
The impressions that then create a deeper and more meaningful perspective within your heart,
Then your meditational practice,
But also your everyday life,
The way that you attract situations to you,
But also the way that you communicate to situations change dramatically.
And this is what meditation is all about.
It's about inviting this change,
But not just a superficial type change,
Not just a change,
You know,
I want to change my work or I want to change my life or I want to change this or I want to change that,
But a change that happens from within the structure itself.
So it's really very,
Very simple in the end.
You know,
This is just an explanation to help you to remind yourself every time you're caught up in Babylon to come back to the space of stillness.
So this means practicing meditation,
Sitting quietly,
Just being still,
Stilling the mind.
You can do this now as you breathe in and breathe out,
Just relaxing,
Making sure that the tension in your body is relaxed.
Deep breath as you let go,
Let go and relax.
And as you relax,
Just drift into the stillness,
Be open and receptive to the stillness.
Invite your mind to come back to this stillness.
Sense the stillness in your body,
In the muscles of your body,
The organs of your body,
The structure of your body,
Spine relaxed,
Upright,
The breath flowing through your body,
Just being still for a few more moments.
Deep breath.
Deep breath,
Letting go into stillness,
Letting yourself just drift into stillness.
Deep breath.
Deep breath,
Relaxing into stillness.
Deep breath.
Deep breath.
Letting go and relaxing,
Allowing your body and your mind,
Your emotional body,
Your energy to just sink into a deeper state of stillness.
You may wish to continue in stillness for a few more moments,
Just integrating the energy of the transmission,
Reminding all aspects of yourself of the beauty of the healing power that is stillness.
And throughout your day today,
You may just wish to remind yourself that there are many beautiful gifts all around you.
And when connected to the stillness,
Then the distractions that are usually present within the mind are not so very powerful,
Not so very manipulating of your energy.
And so it's easier to connect to those gifts and to embrace them and to allow them to help transform you and heal you in many beautiful ways,
Often miraculous ways.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Thank you for this gift. It is a great reminder that in moments of agitation we have the option of sitting in stillness. I also appreciate the fact that you mentioned negative biases it is 27 degrees today and I will be more mindful to enjoy other aspects of the cold instead of dreading them. I will strive to maintain a Nazareth state of mind. Thank you.
