Just taking a deep breath and letting go of all the mundane practicalities of the world and coming back to this moment here being aware as you breathe in and breathe out of the body relaxed and happy being aware of the emotions in a state of equanimity being aware of the energy centered and focused as you breathe in and breathe out just allowing this natural flow this effortless flow to happen just being present to the space that is all around you everywhere as you breathe in and breathe out every time something captures your attention or some situation brings you to a focus that is removed from this present state just understanding that that's what it is and coming back here to this moment no need to debate or try to understand or give energy to the situation remember as you breathe in and breathe out this effortless focus means that there is no need to do anything just recognizing things for what they are and coming back to the natural effortless flow that's contained within life energy that's contained within the very core aspect of your breathing and as you breathe in just being aware of the space may be aware of your body or you may be aware of the emotions or your thoughts just taking a deeper breath to be aware of the space what is known in quantum physics as just the field this interesting field that is constantly present so even if you're not present to yourself in the sense of being present to what is going on in this moment the field is constant constantly in a state of presence to itself because it is itself there is nothing else the energy field is vibrant alive and moving through time and space simply because there is no other function to energy there is no need for energy to remove itself to the future or to go back to the past it is in constant motion and this constant motion is an energetic and active state of presence so before anything happens in this moment before this moment even references itself to understanding that this is a moment the energy field that is everywhere already is in the understanding in the wisdom that this moment is all there is and all we have to do is as we breathe in and breathe out is to remember this so we're aligning our energy we're aligning our focus our thoughts our feelings all the human manifestations that make us unique to come back into the this connection or alignment with the natural flow which is of course the energy field which is always there so even if you're captured in a state of remembering the past or captured by the state of thinking about the future you're not really captured because your energy is here and that is just a reflection of a reflection that's happening within your thinking and it's interesting to understand the reflection simply by addressing the reflection for what it is this is a thought this is a feeling but the energy that moves me the energy that enlivens the essence of who i am is not in the reflection it is in me in the me that is the energy field in the energy field that is some people call divine or some people call by all other names that is beyond all those names that is life itself so as you breathe in and breathe out even if there is no comprehension within the mind of what is what the energy field means that's okay because the mind cannot comprehend what is reflecting can only comprehend the reflection so it is not for the mind to understand anything it's just for the mind to comprehend the structure of the experience but the experience happens within the structure so the mind either stagnates and gets caught in anxious stressed irritated or just provoked to think in certain ways to use certain belief systems or structures within itself that then reflect an understanding of what's going on there is also another amazing option for the mind just to allow for the directness of the experience to happen without trying to understand the experience so it's just like when you're tasting some beautiful dessert say you can either gobble it up and say oh I'm so hungry this is so delicious but you don't give yourself time to actually understand the directness of the experience you're just listening to the mind saying oh this is so delicious I have to eat it quicker and you gobble it all up or you can just be present to the experience so the experience in itself speaks to your body and speaks to all aspects of your physical manifestation in this human state you think wow I am here me the me that is behind even the taste buds the me that's behind the digestive system the me that's behind the thinking of what I'm eating is just in a natural flow of enjoyment of bliss of happiness that happens simply because I'm reminded of the bliss that is in food in my taste or food so we are having a direct experience in the moment when we recognize that there is no need to fall into the structure of the mind but we just allow for that flow to happen through the mind without resisting or without getting stressed without getting caught in an old structure a past thought or a past belief system or an expectation in the future we're just present so we're present to that which is going on and that which is going on if free from reflections is in itself the pure state of energy that is within the energy field so we are we have the gift of embracing the energy field in its manifestations in its multitude of manifestations that's such a gift for a human being to be conscious of such manifestations within this structure that makes us human so it's not that me is important it's not that the structure is important it is the consciousness that is within the structure that allows for this state of freedom where you can experience bliss and joy at such a depth but of course if we're very busy if the mind is thinking and you're thinking about the reflection that's reflecting within the reflection and that another reflection that is happening why am i reflecting upon all these things then what happens to that taste that is possible to experience in a direct way it's forgotten because it's not as energetic we create an energy field of thinking or an energy field of egoic belief systems or stress or anxiety that captures our focus and we forget who we are the me the eye the real the essence the light even words limit that understanding so as you breathe in and breathe out it's not that you have to fight the mind and say oh don't interfere with my present moment experience i don't want to listen to you at this moment because as soon as you do this then you're already captured by the mind and the ego to a state which is limiting the directness of the experience to a state of dualism to a state which separates us from the energy field and the energy field is us so we cannot be separate but our consciousness can be limited by our focus so if our focus is caught by the limitations of a structure say the mind oh that's not nice says or i that taste is okay but i preferred the taste before then already we are in a dualistic mode of thinking that limits our directness to the experience that's happening right now in this present moment and it's a pity if such becomes a habit because then that is the structure by which we believe reality exists so as you breathe in and breathe out you can ask yourself do i need to even be part of that which is going on of course sometimes we do you know the food is hot okay you know we don't just put it in our mouths and say let me savor that moment experience the food is hot okay then the mind says the food is hot and you say yeah the food is hot and the body says yeah it is really hot and then you say ouch and then you blow it or you know make sure that the food cools down and you just in that moment understand that the mind is functional in its in its guidance in its information but you don't then go and say oh gosh i'm not going to eat because all food is hot you know if you believe that then you'll starve then you say oh you know food is hot and i can't eat what a terrible world it is and then you get depressed because you can't enjoy anything you know there is no flow flow that allows for a direct connection to the joy of eating because already in your mind all food is hot and will burn me and it harms me so then you've got an attitude about something that is actually free of that attitude it's just your attitude so what do you do well simple food can be hot but doesn't have to be hot so if food is hot it's hot so when you're eating and food is hot ouch the mind says food is hot the body says food is hot and you can say yes food is hot in this moment and then come back to this moment when you take it out of your mouth food is no longer hot your mouth is just empty of food and the next experience is a new experience so it doesn't have to be caught within the dynamics of the thinking that is projected onto the next moment and the next moment you can say food can be hot or it can be delicious it can be a wonderful experience so you are giving yourself the freedom of not projecting a perspective onto your next experience but rather that you're open to whatever the experience is so this is a very different from saying that everything should be perfect and if it's not you get upset I have some people saying well I'm meditating and then all of a sudden a mosquito bites me and what am I supposed to do how can I be in the moment because the mosquitoes biting me and you know it's painful yes a mosquito bite is painful but that happens in one moment and the next moment there is something else happening you could be aware of something very profound happening within your breath oh it's a relief to not be bitten by a mosquito it's so wonderful I'm in such gratitude for being free of that pain that was a moment ago part of your experience so then the whole relationship to time and space changes you're not fixated to the structure of a belief system saying that food is hot or life is hard or the world is a difficult place to live in or my experience is of suffering or my experience is profound and beautiful because sometimes that belief system that every moment should be perfect is created from an imperfect relationship to the moment so it is almost like oh it has to be this way because I don't want it to be any other way but food can be hot mosquito will bite so if we acknowledge that life is temporary and life is changeable and the energy of life in its various multitudes of manifestations is just very different sometimes this sometimes that then we're not caught by the manifestations but rather we come back to the essence and that is the me that is observing the whole situation and we give energy to that space rather than to the manifestation and that is observation that is awareness the me that's within is always understanding the situation as it unfolds and if we understand ourselves to such a degree where we know that our focus doesn't have to be in the past or in the future or in a structure of belief system or a molding of our personality or the ego then we discover the possibilities that exists within the potential that is the energy field and there is always many more thoughts many more feelings many more experiences within this manifestation that and that which we are aware of so if our awareness is focused within freedom then we are free so today as you breathe in and breathe out even of court by one perspective or one feeling or one idea of what the world is or what your experience is come back to the state of freedom that is awareness breathing in deeply breathing out letting go thank you

Holy ****. Ok, I'm admittedly a fan anyway, but the food analogy within the reflection of a reflection idea has just 💡-ed a little epiphany in an issue a client of mine has been talking to me about: An understanding of how to enjoy occurrences in their life. Telling people to "be in the moment" is one of those not so helpful "helpful" things others might say to you. Like "be more confident", "be kinder to yourself". These things can't be turned on and off like lightswitches of the mind (until an epiphany turns it into a lightswitch moment and suddenly that concept is illuminated and all becomes clear). Anyway, I'm rambling. Tl;dr had an epiphany on how to help a client stuck in their own prison. Thank you, Tony (if you ever read this!) Fantastic as always 🙏
