You you you you Hello,
I hope you can hear Today,
A wonderful day where we are.
The sun shines bright and the atmosphere is full of morning newness and this of course creates a sense of adventure and happiness as we continue in the evolution of consciousness and I say we continue simply because very often our perspective of consciousness,
Our perspective of movement towards the higher and more profound aspects of ourselves is seen in an individual way and today satsang I would like with today satsang I would like to highlight that it is difficult to see it in this way without misunderstanding what consciousness means.
You have probably read and you have probably been inspired by stories and fairy tales and mystic poems that speak of the profoundness of consciousness being a sense of unity,
A sense of oneness and the sense of unity and oneness allowing for a recognition of the true self,
The individual aspect of consciousness within this unity and what it means and how such profoundness creates a recognition of the individual parts of the profound aspect that we are recognizing.
So it is as if when one is aware of love,
When one is immersed in the state of expansion where love highlights everything in a new way with a sense of newness just like this morning here in this beautiful place the newness allows us to see things for the first time even though we ve been looking at that space,
At that profoundness that is life.
Every moment of our conscious evolution not just the moments that we remember,
Not just today,
Not just yesterday,
Perhaps a year ago,
But the moments that create the beginning,
That create the beginning and the birthing of consciousness where does consciousness begin?
Where does it end?
Is it in this?
Is it in that?
Is it in our memories?
Is it in our feelings?
Does consciousness limit itself to the spaces that we understand?
Is consciousness beyond understanding?
We can then understand much more profoundly that consciousness is more than what we see,
What we perceive through the senses,
What we filter through the mind.
We can understand that consciousness is a space of unity,
A space of oneness that is what we are doing,
What we are doing here now in this world whether we call this practice spirituality or whether it is spirituality without a label.
What we are doing is bringing back the parts into a sense of oneness,
Hence the name yoga.
Yoga means the union of all parts back to its original state of oneness.
Consciousness is the beginning,
Is the original state of oneness that we have forgotten as we move forward and begin to look at the parts,
But by looking at the parts sometimes it is easy to forget the beginning,
The creative force that allows us to have the ability to see those parts.
Consciousness when focused on the specifics within our individual incarnation,
Within this moment,
Forgets everything,
Forgets the big picture,
Forgets the space that is more profound than itself,
Forgets the beloved.
When we focus on the specifics sometimes we forget and such is the state of forgetfulness that when we forget we don't believe there is a remembrance,
We don't believe that the morning has the ability to create a sense of newness,
Has the ability to shine bright in a way that allows us to see things from the very beginning,
To see the luminosity from its original state rather than to then bring our focus which is the individual parts into the picture of the infinity,
The infinity that is the space that we are observing and then forget to see the profoundness of everything as we can't see it,
We can't comprehend it,
Our focus is too individualized,
Our focus is too much looking at the specifics,
We look at our thoughts,
I'm thinking this,
I'm thinking that,
I thought about this and what was I thinking this for and why do I have such thoughts and so the specific creates a momentum that is only connected to that focus which is specific and from that picture it is impossible to see the union,
To see the oneness,
It is only when challenged,
Only when challenged in a very profound way when we are challenged to move out of the specific picture that we are caught up in,
That we are attached to,
That we feel is reality,
That we think is reality through our actions even if we have an ideal in the background that we in our practice show the world this is who I am,
I am this specific thought,
I am this specific feeling,
It is only by doing,
By letting go of such attachment and by coming back to challenging ourselves,
That individual self that is so caught in itself that we can shake the foundation by which our whole structure creates a picture,
Creates a picture of what we think is really going on,
It is like love,
It can shake the very structure of how you do things when your heart opens,
When you open to the beauty of this morning,
How can you forget what is actually happening here in this moment,
How can you forget the beauty that is present in the luminous light that is in everything,
How can you forget the little flower,
How can you forget the beauty of the clouds,
How can you forget the air that you are breathing,
How can you forget the warmth of the sunshine,
How can you forget the movement and the miracle of life,
You can only forget when your mind is focused in the dualistic aspect that thinks and thinks and thinks and continues to think and thinks that thinking is everything,
It is the total picture of everything,
Love challenges this picture,
Says who are you,
Who are you in this moment,
Love says who cares,
I don't know who I am,
I'm lost in the experience of oneness,
Who are you,
What is such a question,
What does it mean,
I cannot see the meaning as I am right back home in the space of creative potential that allows me to be everything,
I am one,
I am everything,
I am the Sun,
I am the moon,
I'm the stars,
I'm the air that I'm breathing and the warmth that I feel,
I'm the thoughts,
I'm the feelings,
I'm everything but I'm nothing,
I'm simply a reflection of the beauty that is present in everything,
That is love,
There's a sense of grace,
A space that allows everything to be present,
Not just your mind,
Not just your thoughts,
Not just your individuality,
So what is the purpose of spiritual practice?
The purpose is not to fulfill one's needs,
One's desires,
One's mind games,
One's feeling needs that create desires and more pictures of more desires and more pictures of more of this and more of that and nothing is wrong with needs and desires,
Don't get me wrong,
Don't create a dogma out of beauty,
Don't create a dogma out of love,
Immerse yourself in this moment,
Immerse yourself in the infinite beauty of this moment,
Do not create another concept of what infinity means,
Do not create another need to go to a space that cannot be reached unless you immerse yourself in the space that is beyond all the spaces that your mind understands,
The space of love that touches the very beginning of the moon,
The very beginning of the stars,
The very beginning of life,
In the beginning there was the vibration of sound,
In the Christian mystic tradition in the beginning was the word,
The word created manifestation,
The word is the vibration of truth,
Truth does not live anywhere but within your heart,
You don't open to your heart by feeling,
By thinking,
By being this or by being that,
You open to your heart by letting go all the ego,
By letting go of all that holds you back,
Making you believe that you are something,
You are nothing,
You are a reflection of perfection and as you embrace love in all its depth,
In every aspect of your being,
In your body,
In your mind,
In your feelings,
Where else can you go and be the perfection that is reflected within your heart?
Saint Kabir speaks in his sutras of this in a very beautiful way,
In a way that allows us to understand that it is possible,
Do not have doubt that love is possible,
Love is not only possible,
Love is the very reason that you think of the possibility,
It is the remembrance of the depth within yourself,
Love is not something that you can reach for,
Love is the natural state when you let go of reaching,
Love is recognition of the oneness of the union.
Saint Kabir says,
The way to do this is to drop the ego,
To drop the ego,
To drop the ego,
To drop the ego and again to drop the ego,
It is so simple,
There is no need to read the mystical texts of this person and that person and try to understand through the ego what love means,
Try to be a scientific,
Scientific analyst where you decipher all aspects of love from here,
From there,
From this part,
From that part,
From whatever,
From,
It is so very simple,
Drop the ego,
Drop the ego,
Every time you notice yourself being selfish,
Being focused on yourself,
Being focused on those needs that come out of yourself,
Drop the ego,
I already hear in the background,
How do I drop the ego,
How do I do it Tony,
I'm trying,
I've been trying for years,
I've been trying,
The ego is too strong,
The ego is too clever,
The ego is too much in every aspect,
Challenge yourself,
Spirituality is not just sitting around on a sofa and saying okay,
How do I do it,
When will it happen,
I feel terrible because it's not happening and creating another idea of yourself that is victim,
That is unable to reach whatever it is that you're trying to reach and then feeling sorry for yourself and then a whole circle of whatever is karma is created,
Created and recreated in every aspect and then blame everything,
Yourself,
Other people,
Constellations,
Whatever else around you,
Blame yourself and blame the divine,
Oh it's not ever going to change,
I'm just here to suffer,
There is no suffering,
There is only your mind that creates the perspective of suffering,
What is the way,
It is the way of truth,
Saint Kabir says,
Come back to being truthful,
The ego has no chance when you are truthful,
The ego cannot do anything when you are truthful,
The ego can only disappear when you are truthful,
What is truth,
Truth is breathing in the air,
Truth is opening your eyes to the beauty that is there,
Truth is being the perfection,
The reflection of perfection that the Atma is,
Truth is the remembrance of the path and the sense of value of the path,
The path back home to the remembrance that allows your heart to remember simply by being humble,
Simply by being clear in your humility and allowing for beauty to touch your heart,
Doing nothing,
Simply allowing grace to touch you,
Then love is recognised,
Remember,
Tasted,
Sensed,
Understood,
Not through the ego but through your being,
Being is being truthful,
Saint Kabir says,
He who is meek and contented,
He who has an equal vision,
Whose mind is filled with the fullness of acceptance and rest,
He who has seen him and touched him,
He is freed from all fear and all troubles,
To him the perpetual thought of oneness is like a sandal paste smeared on the body,
To him nothing else is delight,
His work and his rest are filled with music,
He sheds abroad the radiance of love,
Kabir continues to say,
Touch his feet who is one and invisible,
Immutable and peaceful,
Who fills all vessels to the brim with joy and whose form is love,
Saint Kabir,
All mystics,
All aspects of your heart speak the same language and that language is the language of music,
The music of love is the word,
Is the vibration of transcendence,
As you drop the noise in your mind,
As you come back home to listening to the vibration of love,
Being content,
Being full of the vibration of transcendence,
This fullness and acceptance allows for the ego to rest,
The mind to take a little bit of a break,
For the ego to not drive your emotions into a sense of frenzy,
To come back home to being restful,
As you do this,
You touch the feet of beauty,
You touch the feet of your path,
You walk with the feet of remembrance,
You walk with the feet that understand the sense of remembrance in every aspect of your incarnation of life,
The way you walk,
The way you breathe carries within it a sense of acceptance,
You no longer struggle on the path,
You no longer feel the need to push your ego forward,
You simply rest in the contentment of being,
Saint Kabir says,
You have seen him,
When you hear the music of love,
Your third eye,
Your subtle perceptions open to the vibration,
And that vibration is light,
As you drop the ego,
You drop the heaviness of your mind,
You drop the heaviness of your attachments to your mind,
And within that space,
You give birth to the lightness of being,
And you get touched by this lightness in a sense of contentment that is meek,
Soft,
Gentle,
You become nurturing,
You become giving,
You become yourself,
You become real,
There is no need to be caught by fear and troubles,
As you no longer exist in that dimension,
You have moved back to a dimension where the sun is shining,
Where the morning greets you,
With a breath of fresh air,
Where life is a miracle,
What a wonderful greeting,
What a beautiful day,
What a wonderful aspect of life that we are given privilege to be present to,
In this incarnated form that we call human,
By bringing back a sense of union into this incarnation,
Into this physical body,
Into this being that you call yourself,
You will be filled with joy,
Your form will be nothing but a reflection of love,
Where else can you go,
But remember the beloved in such consciousness,
May today be a reminder,
May today be a strong reminder for you to let go,
To be humble,
To be gentle,
To be nurturing,
To be clear in your practice,
And the way you treat your body,
And the breath that you're breathing in this very moment,
And the way that you approach everything around you,
May this joy and this beauty,
This sense of oneness be present right now,
Here,
In this moment.
Thank you.
