It's always good to utilize the practice of meditation,
But also to be part of the transmission and to be connected on this higher level of consciousness to all sorts of energies rather than just the mental ones that very often get intense or get confused because of the changes.
We don't really,
As human beings,
We don't really like changes when it comes down to things.
We like changes if we are inspired and wanting to learn new things and inspired by those changes,
But we don't really like to change things.
I know,
For example,
Just to highlight in psychology,
Neuroscience,
One of the things that creates a lot of stress,
But it doesn't seem stressful on the outside,
Is moving.
Moving house.
The simple thing,
Even if moving to a better place or moving to a place which in the end suits your needs better,
Just the idea of leaving your space and moving to another space creates stress.
Human beings have this natural social inclination to want things to stay the same.
Also the structure of the mind has this inbuilt mechanism that wants things to remain constant on some level so that there is a level of control,
A level of making sure that things fit into the right place.
Of course,
Change means that we don't know where things fit in.
We don't know how things will work.
When we move on some level,
We don't know what that means because we haven't experienced what it's like to live in a new place,
Hence the stress,
The background stress.
It's the same with everything.
Moving,
I'm just bringing up moving as an example because that apparently is one of the top stressors in psychology.
Of course,
There are much worse stressors,
But they're not common.
Being in the midst of war or a volatile situation is very stressful for people.
That's not an everyday experience for everyone,
But many people move,
Not just homes,
But move from one situation to another,
Work or change constellations,
And that's the sort of move that creates stress.
The fact that we very often get stressed by normal,
Everyday situations,
I call these situations normal because they happen all the time.
Everyone experiences these situations once in their lifetime,
Some sort of change,
Some sort of move,
But we have this experience.
When things begin to change on a different level than just the mundane one,
Just changing,
Moving from one house to another or changing jobs or changing in your relationship to certain people,
Changing dynamics,
Just beyond such,
There is also a change in the world that is happening and I've spoken about this previously,
But you can look around and see that this change is obvious,
Not by looking at the externals,
But just looking at how things are evolving and what references these changes have as their driving force.
Just look at the subtle aspect of energy and the bigger picture of what is happening rather than focusing on the specific things such as politics or cultural,
Social situations that the news highlights,
For example.
Just looking at the general picture,
We see that there is a movement and perhaps it's not obvious,
It's like anything,
It becomes obvious later for some people because it becomes much more tangible,
But you can sense this energy in the atmosphere.
The thing with any change,
You can make it a pleasant experience,
You can transform moving from one place to another into an adventure and it can be an adventure if the mind reorientates its references to the obvious and the obvious is that everything is a learning experience.
Open up and trust that by opening up to this new experience that you're going to learn something and so there is this adventure because we always need to learn.
If we remain static in our thinking then we get depressed and we just end up being very close-minded and reactive about everything,
But learning and being open-minded means that we're accepting the adventure of life and embracing it from a different reference than the stress or the reactive state that comes up to the surface when there are changes,
External changes,
But also internal changes because the changes that are happening in the energetic system that is around,
The energetic structure that is around also create certain internal dynamic that becomes obvious to many.
Firstly,
Those who are more sensitive,
Those who are more in touch and those who are more just inclined to pick up on energies and tend to understand that these changes are happening,
Even if not able to conceptualize what these changes mean,
There is an understanding because the sensitivity allows for understanding that something is changing.
Just like if you're sensitive,
For example,
My mom is sensitive to the weather because she has some sort of arthritic ailment and it doesn't matter,
She's just,
She predicts the weather.
As soon as there is going to be a storm or buildup of pressure,
You know because my mom picks it up.
So,
She's sensitive and most people won't be,
They will say,
Oh,
I'm sure it's just something that you're worried about because she doesn't like the feeling and it's not really going to happen.
Look,
It's all sunny out here and nothing is changing.
The weather is not really going to be stormy.
And then two days later,
Usually,
Not usually,
Actually every time,
She predicts the weather simply because she's sensitive.
Now we don't have to have ailments such as arthritis to be sensitive to energies that are around us.
We are sensitive as human beings.
We are sensitive to situations that build up around us or that move the energy in a certain way,
Not just in the physical weather,
In the physical weather sort of energy that changes,
But also the other energies that create just the movement within life,
The various movements that happen.
Everything is changing.
At some level,
Energy is moving from one thing to another.
So if we are not so unaware of what's going on,
If we are in touch with what is going on,
There are clues and there is information that's transmitted that these changes are about to happen.
And so we can either react to them and be negative about them.
And because we,
As human beings,
We simply don't like change.
Too much change means chaos for the brain because it doesn't know how to reorientate itself and control things in the way that it's used to.
This is why people don't like to change the way that they think.
They like to fall back into old habits.
We know this in psychology.
Changing habits,
It's a whole thing in itself,
Isn't it?
We know this.
You've got a habit,
A way of thinking or a way of reacting to situations or a trigger within you just every time.
It doesn't matter how aware you are of it.
It doesn't matter how you've understood the situation.
Like if you've done some psychotherapy and connected the situation to certain programs or certain belief systems or even certain traumas that may have happened earlier on in your life.
It doesn't really matter because it tends to be that habits repeat themselves and we're comfortable with that.
As human beings,
Of course,
We're not comfortable in the sense that we enjoy them,
But we're comfortable because we prefer what we know than what we don't know.
As human beings,
Change means we come into alignment and into a connection to the space of unknowing,
The unknowing space.
I know that's not an English word,
But the unknown space.
You know,
The space that doesn't allow you some sort of control.
That is the thing when you're sensitive.
Also,
There is so much information that's coming to you and you're in touch with so many things that are beyond just what the mind can understand that it's difficult when you're sensitive because if you don't understand how to transmit and come back into alignment so that the transmission of these energies become more positive than negative or more exciting than creating a reaction of fear or dread,
Then the tendency is that we fall back into our habits and habits create certain structures and those structures create certain thought patterns,
But also emotional and physical reactions to the situations that then recreate themselves in a way that you don't,
Very often most people don't see because it happens so quickly.
It happens beyond even the thought that takes place.
It happens there and then instantly.
These structures that you're recreating because of your emotional or mental reaction creates certain structures and those structures tend to be connected to emotional states and mental states and so then there is a sort of loop that happens where the structures that you're creating say if you're afraid and the structure in your body is pain or holding on to muscular tension or raising the cortisol or adrenaline or all the different symptoms.
If we hold on to that and that structure tends to feed the other energies that are feeding the whole loop or the whole situation that's evolving and so it becomes not just that this energy transmission that is happening because of the structures that you're creating happen on an emotional or mental level but also physical level because we tend to,
If we're tense on a physical level we tend to do things.
I remember walking with people in the forest and because people were tense because some people are afraid of nature for some reason,
Especially if it's unknown such as a tropical rainforest.
I remember walking in the tropical rainforest and I insisted people take their shoes off so that they could feel the ground and of course there are all sorts of insects and bugs and what have you.
Now I sometimes play with these situations just so that they become real.
I'm not wanting people to get bitten by a scorpion or whatever else that's out there but when there is this tension we tend to hold on to the fearful thought and the fearful structure,
Emotional structure and the body structure and then we tend to do things that invite that structure to remain dysfunctional and remain stressed.
It is dysfunctional to hold on to tension and the fear that you might be doing something that will hurt you when in this moment everything is perfect and nothing is actually creating pain.
But if you believe that things out there will create pain,
The tendency is that you fall into an attraction to those situations,
You fall into being attracted to those situations even if not mentally or conceptually,
Somehow you connect to the negative that is around.
So this is why when there are situations that bring up that very same structure but those situations aren't as obvious as walking in the rainforest barefoot.
Those situations are subtle and around your body,
Energies that you say the psychic rainforest and you're walking through the psychic rainforest and you have no idea even because you can't see things and they're not so tangible and concrete but you create the same reaction in your body and your emotional reaction is the same,
There is raised cortisol and there is tension and the structure is the same because you're creating this loop where you're feeding off the structure and this structure is feeding off the possibilities that you are focused on and the possibilities of things that may go wrong because usually that's where the focus goes.
What am I doing?
Maybe this will cause me pain or maybe I'm not doing the right thing and all the worries and stresses come up and then there is tension because the mind is harmonious and if you aren't able to focus on that which is harmonious and positive and adventurous and just life-giving then the mind gets confused and tense and then we tend to keep getting caught in that tension because the tension is there and it becomes more tangible and then it's more tangible because say we bump ourselves and we say oh that was a sign that things aren't flowing in the right direction and then someone drives in front of us in a funny way or says a person walking by just said something rude to you and you oh gosh the world is tense and you begin to focus on all that which is going wrong rather than the positive flow just like in the rainforest you know I was saying you know the rainforest is a beautiful place it's where we came from so focus on the beauty of the rainforest it doesn't mean you just sort of walk in la la land and pretend that there are no bugs and no whatever that bite of course you know the rainforest is full of all sorts of creatures but focus on the positive so that your mind relaxes and your body relaxes and then you can be very aware of where you put your feet this was the whole point in the exercise you know where you put your feet in that you know you're totally present to what you're doing rather than present to all the energies that are being created as a reaction to the situation or your belief system about the situation and it's the same with the energies that are around some people call them psychic energies but they're not really psychic energies they're just manifestations of what is beyond perception and it's the same if we fall back into the same habit where we rely on fear or negative perception the negative bias trying to process that information then we'll build up tension within our minds that will very often lead us into a higher level of stress so moving can be an adventure if we know how to change the information that is transmitted about moving so rather than you know trying to make it externally trying to make it less stressful you know I don't know drinking tea or taking some sort of tranquilizer you know trying to remedy the situation how about just saying to yourself okay I'm going to turn it into an adventure so my mental attitude changes that mental attitude of course is very very influenced by the meditational attitude that you create through your practice so if your mental mental attitude changes then it's much easier to not fall back into those habits that are automatically triggered when we are in that reactive state so if you if you become open if you allow yourself to be open and receptive say you believe deep inside that you are supported and nurtured by the universe but you really believe it it's not some sort of positive mantra that you're repeating in your mind you really believe this in your attitude and your attitude reflects this and it becomes very clear that there is an adventure that is happening and it reinforces the space where positivity can expand into all things that you're doing so I remember the first time I moved you know it was a long time ago and I remember the feeling of course this wasn't the feeling for my parents they were totally stressed but you know children things change and then they adapt to the change and they're open and receptive to the positive that's around and I remember not thinking oh I've left my beautiful place and now we're you know I miss this and I miss that I was just like wow look at this beautiful new place because I could see a garden rather than an apartment building out of my window look at all these beautiful trees and you know I was so excited and I can cycle by myself I don't need supervision because you know it's safer here there are no roads and it was just super exciting because I was seeing all the positive now wouldn't it be wonderful if we could do this in in the way that we react to our habits so rather than allowing for the habit to be so very powerful in the background that our mind and our attitude changes and becomes part of that reactive state if we could just see the positive so that is what you can do in in meditation that's something tangible that you can do as soon as people tell me our life is difficult I say well remember something that is easy and positive and there is always something something as simple as drinking a glass of water it's a positive thing you know when you realize that it's positive when you're thirsty but you know it's a positive thing so you could think oh it's so wonderful to be able to drink pure water and so nurturing and hydrating for the body the cells are blissful in the body because water is such an essential element and I can connect to the energy of water and detox my body and let go of that tension let go and you can keep that simple act of drinking a glass of water going so going more deeply into the positivity of what that means connecting to the beautiful stream that in nature that allowed for the water to be present in your glass and just the incredible process of movement that allows for water to evaporate move up to the clouds and the beautiful clouds raining water as we we had this wonderful storm yesterday here and just the amount of rain that came down was incredible and just the power of nature and then you think oh one simple positive thought can connect you to so much more if it's not just oh that's just a glass of water then you're not creative and adventurous enough to look into the learning that is possible through a very simple act such as meditation so sitting in stillness isn't just okay I'm letting go of some of that stress and relaxing my body so that my body feels better that simple act of sitting in stillness is in itself a creative adventure that can only happen when you let go of the space that limits that adventure these are the habits that I've spoken about limits the adventure to a negative perception so if we open up in this way where every little action every little thought every little experience is much more profound than just an observation of that experience it's an act of meditation it's an act of conscious awareness then we align ourselves to a very different energy level within those within this rainforest of psychic energy that is now transforming around us so we connect to the higher level of consciousness within this energy that is around so it's easier to see the positive in changes just like me as a child seeing the positive in leaving the home that I'd known for so many years and just being open and receptive to the newness of this place that I moved into and we can do this with every little change there is a potential a possibility that we can come back to from this positive mental attitude that allows us to connect to the psychic energy that is around the psychic level of energy or the subtle level of energy that is around that's manifest in all and everything so that we're not just looking at the mundane material aspect of change but we're looking at the whole big the bigger picture just like water is much more than just what is sitting in your glass it's a whole process in itself that happens but we're not aware of it you know the clouds the storms the sea the rivers the streams the water that's being absorbed by the plants and just the whole process is so incredible if you study biology like I did it's just in itself the process is miraculous so if we connect to the higher dimension of existence from this level where we are in awe and open and receptive to the learning that is being presented right here right now then the transmission of meditation becomes a profound experience so sitting in meditation becomes much more than just a relaxation exercise becomes an experience of oneness connectedness with all and everything that is happening not just on a material level but on the many subtle levels that you begin to explore when you're sensitive enough to be open and positive enough to be receptive to the information so that you are a channel allowing this to move through you in this positively healing way rather than holding on to the old the mundane that sometimes can be very tiring and create a lot of tension so if there is tension if you are noticing any tension or if there is a negative space within the mind just breathe out let go and sense the positive that is around you in all aspects of life there is the subtle energy that you can connect to sense this maybe as an energy around your body maybe as an energy that you are breathing in maybe as an energy that connects you and grounds you to the earth or maybe a connection that connects you and grounds you to the beautiful universe or just to nature or an aspect of nature look more deeply into this connection be aware and present to this connection breathing out and breathing letting go breathing out and breathing in connecting letting go of the tension and just breathing in and connecting all flows you may wish to continue with this meditation for a few more moments letting go breathing in this connection allowing the body to expand and to and to experience this expansion as a sense of lightness sense of openness just being open and receptive to the beauty of this moment as you continue and let go may wish at the end of the meditation to drink a glass of water and just to connect to the healing and to the nurture that pure water creates for the body and just detoxing and letting go of all and everything that may be still still there holding on to whatever just letting that go through a conscious act of drinking at the end of this meditation thank you you you you
