
Cultivating Conscious Attitudes

Deep breath,
Breathing all the way down into the abdomen,
Aware of your diaphragmatic muscles,
They can help you breathe deeper,
Especially if your posture is upright,
Shoulders back,
Sternum pointing outwards.
Meditational practice is in essence very simple,
But in practice there are many aspects of the body and the mind,
The emotional body,
Energetic body,
That we need to remember are compromised in the way that they communicate to one another and compromised in the way that they communicate to us as conscious beings.
And so a simple reset,
Meaning that you move your body if the constriction is in your body,
Move your body in a certain way,
Allows for the breath for example to move deeper into the abdomen,
Which changes so many things.
When you breathe deeply rather than breathe in a shallow way,
Your emotional,
Mental and energetic well-being is enhanced immediately.
So what we're doing is opening up to the deeper communication within,
Which necessitates a restructure of the old foundation,
Which makes it essential that we don't rely on old paradigms and old belief systems,
But find the new ones that are in alignment with our truth.
There is always a purification or a cleansing that is happening,
And there is always a level of pain and suffering that comes up,
Especially from within the subconscious that we need to let go of.
Now that in itself is a part of what it means to be a human being here on this earthly dimension,
But the attitude that we're in touch with doesn't need to be rigid or constricted.
The attitude that we're in touch with can be a natural flow.
So when you're happy,
When you're in touch or connected to beauty,
Even if it's not obvious because the subconscious is releasing pain and that pain is communicating to you very powerfully in ways that are uncomfortable,
When the foundation is a connection to beauty or possibility healing,
Then we tend to step back and look at the big picture and realize that yes,
A part of our experience here on this earthly dimension is painful,
Is for some even more painful than others,
But in the end we don't look through the perspective that the subconscious pain is creating,
But rather look through the balance that we create through our conscious attitude,
Our alignment to our truth.
Then those rigid ways are still there,
But they don't manipulate,
They don't create situations within your experience that manipulate you to fall into an old reactive system,
For example reacting to your own pain,
Creating such a state within yourself that the calm response,
Which is essential when it comes to meditation,
It's just not an aspect of yourself that you are in touch with,
You're in fight or flight or you're caught up in the reactive state that allows for certain hormones,
Adrenaline,
Cortisol to just move you to a very reactive and aware state,
An aware state not of reality but an aware state of what is happening within you,
So it's almost like the pain creates a channel within yourself where you are focused on the pain that's being released,
You know,
They say try to distract your mind from focusing too much on pain when you're when you cut yourself for example,
Because otherwise your mind builds up a whole picture that yes it's real on some level but doesn't help with the healing process,
This is what you can do today as you breathe deeply into the abdomen as you relax your body you can bring this sense of well-being,
This sense of connection that you have with the internal foundation that is the cosmos,
The inner cosmos,
And allow for that space to fill up with healing,
To fill up with potential,
To fill up with possibilities,
Now this doesn't mean you're tricking your mind to believe in something different than the experience,
So if you're in pain it's not about negating your pain,
It's not about sweeping things under the carpet,
But it's about creating perspective so that the light shines bright and you see and recognize that those shadows are there,
But really when you step back those shadows are not the darkness that the mind falls into when manipulated by the mental loops of suffering that is created by often negative emotional reactions to different situations that we've experienced throughout our lives,
That we experience in the world sometimes without even knowing because of course we have non-verbal communication that's connected to the subconscious and we could be communicating to the world i'm in such pain i feel terrible and that communication that non-verbal communication is real but it's not helping when it comes to healing because just looking at your pain isn't a solution to the pain that you're feeling,
Just getting in touch with your pain isn't going to help you take those steps so that you elevate beyond say emotional mental reactions or systems that pull you back into that old experience every time you think or feel connected to say fear if you're afraid of yourself opening up,
Afraid of the experience you may open up to,
Then of course you remain in the fear because it's safer to be in a state of fear in a state that is understood than to move into a state that may create more pain or suffering we open up to the truth within ourselves who knows the mind doesn't know but if you trust from within deep within your heart that you're opening up to the healing and to the integration that perspective creates then this flow of breath moves beyond the constriction and yes you could still say be suffering from inflammation because of fear,
Fear often creates inflammation in the body and creates a miscommunication between the different parts of your body,
Different cells in your body,
The different neurons in your body,
Now that in itself is not helpful if you're stuck say in a neural connection that a system a neural system that is just falling back into reactivity it's like Einstein speaks about the problem won't really find a solution it's important to move beyond the problem recognize yes this is a problem and then move beyond the problem into the flow of wisdom that is within you within your heart so as you breathe in and breathe out imagine sense this don't pretend but imagine and sense this so what you're doing is saying i'm open to an experience that at this moment my mind can't comprehend my feelings can't understand so you're not negating your pain you're just saying there is something beyond and i trust what is beyond the unknown the new beginning the wonderful creative process that is life the creative process that allows the cosmos to continuously expand into its potential and manifestation of that potential the planets the stars you are a co-creator and if you just constrict and fall into the difficult parts of your thinking process or your feeling process that construction becomes a habit and this is what we are breaking free of in meditation old habits old belief systems cannot help us elevate to a space of truthfulness it cannot be truthful when it comes to our communication when our communication continuously say on a subconscious level non-verbal level of communication is saying i don't believe i don't trust in myself i don't trust in this state of consciousness see there is a quandary in the whole communication that needs to be resolved not by doing but by being by being what this means is that you breathe into this moment affirm that this moment is beyond the suffering that within this moment there are so many possibilities and trust now mystics in their language in their religious language spoke of this as to surrender to the will of the divine rather than to use your own willpower your egoic mind willpower to change to transform to come back to that foundation that is real so the divine of course doesn't have a will but what mystics were speaking about as understood in modern terminology in modern language is that we have to allow the higher frequencies the higher resonance within the cosmos move us to our potential so i see it as the dna and the information within every cell of the body continuously evolving and the reference that they use their environment and the genetics that one is one receives continuously moving to a state of integration and elevation now that reference if it's fear we will move to a better place because fear often creates actions that help us to move beyond the pain the suffering but we won't move very far because if we're attached to the fear then we'll recreate those systems in different ways finding the potential say the dna structure evolving to be in a state of harmony with nature rather than in conflict with nature and the part of nature rather than separate from nature creates possibilities that we may not be aware of at this time so our dna structure is also an aspect or a reflection of our consciousness so in the physical physical dimension that is our body consciousness our body changes as we trust and allow that trust to be receptive to the possibilities that divine presence creates within the cosmos pythagoras spoke about this as the communication of resonance and frequencies he called it the symphony of the cosmos so it's almost like the frequency that communicates to us in our meditation and meditation is almost like a filter that then allows us to touch upon miracles because that possibility is a miracle when we transform in the moment of expansion that we are transforming that's a miracle because we're moving beyond the old that is no longer helpful no longer resolves whatever the problem is to a possibility but that manifestation is a part of our co-creative process if we're not helping for example if we don't sense that this process of elevation allows us to receive love to receive beauty to receive healing from beyond what we know beyond what we see beyond what we sense and of course we will most likely remain in the old system of thinking and feeling which then reflects back that resonance in the material dimension but also on other levels emotional energetic and even on some deep level our connection to our hearts our hearts our spiritual hearts so for me meditation starts with being aware conscious and moving from awareness consciousness to releasing that which limits awareness and consciousness relaxing the calm response and then from that space of calmness equilibrium allowing your focus to be fully engaged in that which is beyond your thoughts and feelings a new state of consciousness open and receptive receiving in that process there will be purification letting go which may be difficult but it's not really because when we receive we receive the knowledge and wisdom that allows us to let go of that which is no longer helpful in the process of transformation in the process of coming back to equilibrium so as you breathe in and breathe out make sure that you are calm you can do this by breathing out extending your out breath notice how calm you become when you breathe out prolong the out breath notice how calm you become when you sense and connect to possibilities hope sense of awe that takes you to a place where there is hope where potential manifests itself in symbolic ways frequencies and energies that you recognize intuitively breathing deeply breathing out letting go relaxing as you extend the out breath the more you practice in this way the more easy it is to access the state of consciousness that is meditation you breathe in and breathe out you simply let go then notice as you move deeper into calmness your whole body transforms the temple that is your body becomes more luminous now you can imagine this luminosity every little cell in your body bright and luminous you can imagine this luminosity connected to the luminosity of the cosmos so the light within opens you up to the light within the cosmos every little star every little planet energizing your whole being this deep state of consciousness is the oneness that we recognize in ourselves and in our environment now allow that process to unfold through creating a resonance in your body that opens you up so that you're open and receptive to the miracles of life resonance is the mantra shem as you breathe in and breathe out repeat the mantra shem sense how the resonance guides you maybe to parts of yourself that are healing transforming maybe to a place within yourself that is still observe and be present and be guided without holding back without holding on to the old belief systems i'm open and receptive and continue as you breathe in and breathe out continue sensing the resonance within let us practice in stillness gentle deep breath rest in the stillness the mind has been active or busy that's okay because the mind activity is still and you create this wonderful space within yourself where you are more present at this moment then yesterday and tomorrow become less noisy and be creating this wonderful intention today to keep coming back to this moment and reminding yourself of the stillness in this moment what this means on a practical level is if you're worried about tomorrow stressing about what's going to happen in the next few minutes next few hours feeling negative about something that happened in your past then just remind yourself this is all part of the wonderful mystery that is life but here is the gateway in the present moment and then open up as you breathe in breathe out to this wonderful sense of presence that allows for a deeper communication to all those parts of yourself that are coming back to integration and allowing you to elevate beyond the old systems allowing you to elevate to your potential to the possibility within this moment this intention can be practiced as a visualization or just as a reminder to yourself when facing the various experiences that you face in life in life experience it's wonderful to write in your journal it's wonderful to drink and hydrate and allow for this healing integration to continue on a deeper level you may wish to continue in stillness for a few more minutes when you're ready gently coming back wriggling your toes moving a little opening your eyes and enjoying the rest of your day thank you
