Today is the Vishuddha Chakra,

The blue throat chakra.

The Vishuddha Chakra is associated with ether,

With sound,

And it governs the throat,

The larynx,

The esophagus,

The cervical spine,

The jaw,

Inside the mouth,

And it's associated with sound,

As I said,

And boy aren't we assaulted by sounds.

I don't know about you or you live,

But pre,

Early on,

When we were in early quarantine,

We just noticed how really quiet things were,

You know,

There weren't any planes,

There wasn't any car traffic,

It was just silence,

And it just made us realize how sound is so pervasive in our world today,

And it's not necessarily sounds that were always,

Are always beneficial for us.

And so when this chakra is balanced,

We can speak clearly,

We can hear,

We can understand,

We are more present with people,

We have goals and visions,

And when it's not balanced,

Let's say when it's over activated,

Someone that talks a lot,

Doesn't have really any feeling in their conversation,

Just talking,

Talking,

Talking,

Talks over people,

Has difficulty listening,

Always interrupting this chakra when it's under active,

A person has difficulty forming words,

Has difficulty thinking clearly,

Maybe has difficulty with self-expression,

And their voice is small,

Almost seemingly timid,

And doesn't have much personal drive.

The throat chakra is also a bridge between our intellect and our emotional self,

And it can also then be a bottleneck,

Right?

So the gait can be wide open and just a flood of information coming out from the head and the heart,

But it can also be a place where it gets stuck.

And so we're going to work with that today.

And the sound for the throat chakra is hum,

And the sound is g.

So just go ahead and get settled in,

Get comfortable,

Maybe close the eyes,

And just take some deep breaths,

Allowing the breath to come in through the nose,

And out through the nose.

And if you'd like to join me in expressing hum,

Hum,

Hum,

Let the jaw relax,

Hum,

Hum,

Hum,

Hum.

You can keep going or you can just feel the vibration of the sound of hum.

So just toggle your jaw side to side as TMJ is another blockage in the Vishuddha chakra.

Feel the spaciousness inside of your mouth,

The palate lifted,

The tongue resting in Shavasana on the floor of the jaw.

The ears receptive,

Open,

The breath coming in through the nose,

Feeling it at the back of your throat,

And feeling it pass into the heart.

Feeling it exit from the heart,

Back out through the throat and the nose.

As the breath comes in through the nose,

Feel it cross the brow,

So the intellect,

Into the back of the throat and into your heart.

And as you experience the blue color of the Vishuddha chakra,

Imagine it radiating out from the throat,

Maybe even out through the mouth,

Down the shoulders,

And see where else it can move.

Where else does it radiate?

This is a place of clairaudience,

Which is of inner hearing.

The gift of inner hearing is clairaudience.

And in this,

When we feel balanced,

We operate with integrity.

So invoking a sense of integrity in your actions,

In your words,

And in your deeds,

In your thoughts,

And being able to listen to what that inner voice has to say,

And is it kind,

Is it necessary,

And is it truthful?

To open up those ears,

To listen,

To listen to the inner voice,

Let it arise,

And if you feel like you even need to say something as it arises,

To open up the gates of the Vishuddha chakra,

To release what is held in the heart or what is held in the intellectual mind.

Allow yourself to take in new information,

Process it,

And if it needs a voice,

Then let it out.

The jaw remains relaxed,

The back of the teeth separate.

Allowing the gates to open,

To not only receive new information,

Knowledge,

Presence,

But to also let your words be heard,

To let your voice be heard.

And finding clarity in what you are hearing,

And also clarity in your own voice.

Realizing the constriction or restriction at the throat,

Feeling the spaciousness at the back of your throat as the breath comes in and out.

And in this meditation,

We are consciously creating the world in which we wish to live in,

Consciously creating that that we wish to hear.

So kind words received and spoken,

Intentional words received and spoken.

Finding any secrets that are holding you back,

But to be able to hold a secret,

Hold someone's truth when they have placed trust in you.

Operating with integrity in words,

Actions,

Thoughts.

And these thoughts and words and deeds aligned with your truest self.

I communicate clearly.

I listen with clarity.

I can express myself.

I am present with another.

I allow myself to speak,

To be heard.

I also remain present when another is speaking and needs to be heard.

I allow myself to be heard.

I allow my voice to rise.

I also remain present to listen to another when they need to be heard.

And go ahead and begin to.

.

.

Deepen the breath.

Yeah,

Go ahead and if you'd like to join me,

Stick out your tongue,

Open your jaw and make an audible sigh.

Two more times.

One more time.

And then if you'd like to lift your gaze and welcome yourself back to the space around you,

The surface beneath you,

Maybe rolling the shoulders back up and down,

Maybe moving the head a little side to side,

A little bit of movement.

And another deep breath in and out.

Namaste.
