This guided visualisation can be watched or listened to with eyes open or closed.
You may choose to listen to it once with your eyes closed though,
To take in its totality,
And then listen through once again with your eyes open,
Making notes in your journal or grimoire.
The guidance that follows is mindfully and timefully exactly 8 minutes long.
Imagine that you are in the centre of an octagonal room.
The air is fresh,
Not too warm,
Not too cold,
And the walls have soft pulsing lights,
Moving in synchronism with a wonderful ambient soundscape.
You feel safe,
Almost like being in the womb,
With your whole life yet to play out for you.
At the centre of each of the sides of the room is a full length mirror,
And as you turn to face them,
Your reflection is fuzzy,
Until you turn fully around,
And your reflection from one of them comes into focus.
This mirror speaks softly,
And says,
I am the mirror of recognition,
And it asks you these questions.
When do you first remember knowing yourself?
When did you first consciously decide on one route in your life over another?
And when did you first ever think,
This is what I've come to be,
Do?
Your reflection fades,
And you turn to your right,
To the next mirror,
And your reflection comes into focus once more.
This mirror speaks softly,
And says,
I am the mirror of purpose,
And it asks of you,
When did you first discover your purpose in life?
How much does your purpose today mirror that first purpose?
And what elements are the same,
And what is different between your purpose back then,
And your purpose now?
Your reflection fades once again,
And you turn to your right,
To the next mirror,
And your reflection comes into focus once more.
This mirror speaks softly,
And says,
I am the mirror of doubt,
And it asks you,
Think back to when your life was somewhat wobbly,
Bring those memories back gently now,
And recall how did that affect you at the time,
And think about how you feel about those wobbles looking back right now.
The reflection fades once again,
And you turn to your right,
To the next mirror,
And your reflection comes into focus once more.
This mirror speaks softly,
And says,
I am the mirror of renewal,
And it asks of you,
Do you remember how you bounced back?
Do you recall how the wobbles eased?
Do you recognize now how much stronger you are as a result?
Your reflection fades once again,
And you turn to your right,
To the next mirror,
And your reflection comes into focus once more.
The mirror speaks softly,
And says,
I am the mirror of rest,
And it asks of you,
After your wobbles,
Do you recall if you eased up a little?
Or did you,
Or are you,
Proceeding around the same pace?
What would have to happen in order for you to back off a little,
And treat yourself to a rest?
The reflection fades once again,
And you turn to the right,
To the next mirror,
And your reflection comes into focus once again.
The mirror speaks softly,
And says,
I am the mirror of motivation,
And it asks you,
How can you now move forward with new resolve?
What benefits might a new approach give?
How would it be if you loosened off the reins,
And went with the flow?
Your reflection fades once again,
And you turn to your right,
To the next mirror,
And your reflection comes into focus once more.
This mirror speaks softly,
And says,
I am the mirror of awakening,
And if so,
What would that new version of you look and act like?
And what is stopping you awakening into a new life today?
And this reflection fades once again,
And you turn to your right,
To the next mirror,
And you realise you've nearly come full circle,
And your reflection comes into focus once more on the last of the eight mirrors.
Then something different happens.
You notice your reflection starts to pulsate in and out of focus.
The mirror speaks softly,
And says,
I am the mirror of magnificence,
And it asks of you,
The simple question,
What is stopping you stepping into your own magnificence right now?
Your reflection changes,
And you see a new version of you,
Clearer,
Brighter,
Smiling,
Oozing with confidence.
Then a nagging doubt sneaks in,
And your reflection goes back to the current version of you.
The mirror says,
Let me show you your shadow,
The aspects and traits that prevent you from stepping into the new you.
And staring right at the mirror,
They come into focus,
And you see them for what they are,
Mere reflections.
The mirror speaks once more,
What you are seeing is ephemera from your own mind.
These are aspects which were not originally designed to be retained or preserved,
But have been collected,
And you've hung on to them.
My last question for you is simply this,
Are you now ready to let them go?
And as your mind settles on this notion,
This mirror stops reflecting.
In fact,
It stops being a mirror at all,
And changes and morphs into an open doorway.
You know now what your next step will be.
