This is the third in a mini-series of meditations,
The first being the Hall of Mirrors and the second being the Doors of Awakening.
They are designed that you can listen to them in any order,
But listen to as a whole and in series brings you to a new place of clarity and coherence.
Optionally you might like to make notes during this guidance,
So pause and get a notebook or journal if you want to listen to this with your eyes open.
Alternatively close your eyes and let me take you into the circle of truth.
So this guidance is designed to lead you to truth,
Not the whole truth and nothing but the truth,
But your own truth.
I once wrote in a book of mine,
Truth is only a measure of how what you observe fits with your model of reality.
This means that if you and I hold differing views for how everything works,
We may well have different ideas of what is true or not.
Over time we learn more and more about how the universe works,
So this means that our truth and that of our ancestors might be different,
As will that of how our descendants see and envisage the world.
In today's somewhat divisive world,
It's healthy to hold different views and to overstand why someone might think differently from us,
Even if we disagree with them.
So let's explore the very notion of truth at its core.
Imagine you're standing in the centre of a large circular room.
Its walls are stacked with books on shelves that go up as far as you can see,
And these books contain the sum total of all human wisdom.
The room is warm and you feel safe and inquisitive.
Some books are correct in their assumptions and conclusions,
And their spines are all coloured in shades of purple,
Blue,
Cyan and green.
Some books are perhaps a little misguided in their approach,
And perhaps made irrelevant by current thinking and norms.
Their spines are coloured beige,
Pink and red.
One book though stands out for you and catches your attention.
It has a gold spine.
As you walk towards it,
It slides out from the shelf,
Hovers in mid-air and then floats over to you.
You can see the spine is labelled The Circle of Truth.
As you take hold of it,
The book cover is soft to the touch,
And you open it,
And before you can read the first page,
It speaks to you.
It says,
I am an audiobook,
But one that speaks to you,
And one that you can add your thoughts to and ask questions of.
You can either speak to me,
Write in me,
Or I can pick up on your thought forms.
You turn to the contents page,
And it is labelled My Truths,
And the chapters are numbered 07,
14,
21 years old,
And so on.
You notice the numbers are in bold,
Right up to your current age,
But in italics thereafter,
Fading out up to the number 133.
The book speaks again.
These are records of what you held as being true at different points in your life.
So you turn to the next page,
And find it is labelled 0 years old,
And the book says,
This page is blank,
As it contains the truths that you held on the day that you were born.
You intrinsically knew the truth then,
But perhaps can't remember it,
Or maybe it has been overwritten.
Take a little time now to reflect on the truths that you were born with.
Something magical happened as you were musing on these truths.
They got scribed into the book on that page.
That page then turns over to reveal another blank page labelled 07 years old.
The book speaks again.
You may not quite remember,
But what do you imagine were the truths you held when you were 07 years old?
I'll give you some time to think about it.
Again,
While you were reflecting on the 07 year old version of you,
The page was filled in with your thoughts.
And as you might expect,
The page turns once again,
To the page labelled 14 years old,
And you know what to do now.
At 14 you were starting to appreciate your own truths,
So you reflect back to those days.
The page turns once more,
To one labelled 21 years old,
And the book says,
So I don't know how old you actually are,
So just take your time now to reflect back on your life in 07 year intervals,
Musing on what truths you held at those times.
I will leave 07 minutes of linear time for you to do this.
So hope now you've brought yourself right up to date with your reflections on your truths.
Note that each of our truths is equally valid,
And it is important that they differ,
And that we respect the truths of others.
So until the music fades,
Just muse on this.
What truths are out there,
Still for you to discover,
And do they lie inside or outside of your current circle of truth?
