So welcome one and all to this Insight Time Alive on the Alchemy of Luck.

Great to see so many of you here,

Just let me know whether you can hear me.

And I've managed to upgrade my internet speed so we can do high definition video too.

Good morning Abby,

Hi Siri in Norway,

Hi Julia,

Hi Marita,

Hi Bea,

Hi Jane and hi Halke,

Hi Tanya good to see you again and hi V.

So I think we've got about 300 or so people booked on this live so it's 42 people at the moment I'll just let a few more people join.

But while we're waiting for people to join,

This morning I was reflecting in my own meditation about this session because it's all about good fortune,

Happenstance,

Serendipity,

All the blessings that can come to us in our lives.

And we're doing this live,

This live's been recorded,

It will be up on the app as a recording shortly,

A day after the unlucky people of Ukraine have been invaded.

And I'm doing this quite callously in my view,

I'm not a political animal but it just seems to me that it's every shade of wrong.

So I thought about this,

Should we be really tired of having this session about good fortune when so many people are not having good fortune.

I realised about this idea that when a plane depressurises the best thing you can do is not put an oxygen mask on somebody else but put your own one on first so you can then help other people get the oxygen that they need.

So hi Mads,

Hi Martha,

Hi Sylvie from Munich.

So what I thought we'd do is we would talk about good fortune and how you can manifest it into your life but we'll do an exercise a bit later on which has got two components to it.

The first will be an individual exercise in bringing good fortune your way.

And the other will be us collectively trying to bring good fortune to the people that need it.

So this could be the people in Ukraine or anywhere on the planet for that matter.

So in this way I thought that everything does work,

We can actually harmonise these two things together.

So let's just have a reflection really on what luck is and when I'm doing anything creatively these days,

I haven't done this for many many years actually,

And I'm reflecting on a concept,

I often go to a couple of places.

I go to the dictionary.

Com and I look at the definition of luck.

And there's four definitions on there.

The first is the force that seems to operate for good or ill in a person's life as in shaping circumstances,

Events or opportunities.

Second definition,

Good fortune,

Advantage or success,

Considered as the result of chance.

The third is a combination of circumstances and events operating by chance to bring good or ill to a person.

And four is some object of which good fortune is supposed to depend.

So if any of you got any lucky charms,

I'd love it if you can share it in the chat what your lucky charm is.

Now there's some for each of these four definitions,

There's an example.

I want to come back to those shortly because interestingly enough,

Three out of the four are all phrased in the negative.

I'll come back to that in a minute.

My second source is an entombological dictionary.

And this gives you the background to the word luck.

I didn't get too much from that,

It just shows you what its linguistic background is.

But it did show me all the synonyms,

Which are kind of interesting.

So we've got things like fluke,

Godsend,

Karma,

Kismet,

Opportunity,

Prosperity,

Serendipity,

Windfall,

Triumph,

Stroke.

Loads of good bits of insight there from those things.

And thank you Gina for sharing that.

You use your crystals for good fortune,

And one that calls me for that day,

I've got some crystals out just behind me.

I've been using some singing bowls as well just to clear the energy,

Which is kind of interesting.

So,

All I want to explore really in this session was,

Is luck something we're naturally blessed with?

Or is it something that can be learned and developed?

And also,

Is it something which is internal to us?

Or is it external?

And sometimes it's not a case of either or,

It might be and,

Both.

We'll look at that too.

So in those synonyms,

There's a couple of things there.

One is godsend.

So does that imply that good luck is blessed and conferred upon us from some spiritual source?

And thanks Marita for sharing that.

You have a bracelet with an elephant charm,

Which will fall off to grant your wish.

How wonderful!

I'm very enamoured by the energy of Ganesh,

The elephant.

And Ingrid,

That question,

Do we attract good luck?

Well,

That's what we're going to explore in this session.

So,

Godsend.

Serendipity.

On the app,

There's a meditation mind called Serendipity and the Soul.

And that explains the background to the word serendipity,

How it came into the English language.

I'm going to let you serendipitously discover that meditation,

Have a listen to it,

And it will help bring more serendipity and good fortune into your life.

But the background to it is a Persian fairy tale called the Three Princes of Serendip when they come across a camel.

And the camel's got lots of signs about it.

And from the signs they gleaned from the camel,

Good luck comes their way.

And it's thought also that was one of the first ever detective stories that almost informed Colin Doyle,

The character Sherlock Holmes,

To go about things by looking at small signs.

And again,

We're going to come back to that later,

Looking at the small signs and how important that is really in generating good luck and spotting good luck.

But the one that I want to draw your attention to is kismet.

K-I-S-M-E-T.

I hope I pronounced that right.

And the two definitions for kismet are fate and destiny.

So that might imply that good luck is almost written into our timeline.

If you like,

It's already there and we're just walking into it or potentially walking into bad luck as well.

And the second definition is in Islam.

I'm not a student of Islam,

I don't know too much about it.

It says the arbitrary will of Allah divinely ordained fate.

So I'm curious to know whether people think initially luck is internally generated or externally dispensed.

Just let me know where you lie on that spectrum.

I'll send me somewhere in between.

Mac Turb,

I'm glad to.

That's a great word.

I must look that one up.

Thank you,

Maya,

For sharing that one.

That's M-A-K-T-U-B.

Anyone that's looking in the chat room.

Yeah,

So let's just think about what makes a person lucky.

Is it birthright,

As I said?

Is it karma?

Is it attracting it?

Sevila,

Good point.

Is it how you look at the way of things?

Well,

Interestingly enough,

I just looked at that and I'm using the word look L-O-O-K and the word luck,

L-U-C-K a lot in this chat.

I just looked at that just a microsecond before I was going to say,

Is it about attitude?

So is it about a glass half empty or glass half full attitude?

Is it about,

As I like doing,

To see opportunity and adversity?

So something not so good comes our way.

How can we learn from it?

How can we avoid it in future?

How can we engineer something based on that learning so you can benefit yourself and other people can benefit too?

And also,

I want to explore the concept of an attitude of gratitude.

So let me go back to these definitions again I mentioned before.

I want to quote to you the three,

The four examples that are in the Urban Dictionary.

So Tanya,

Great that you got an offer of plants for your gardens at present.

Fantastic.

And Paola,

We're creators,

Attractors and transmitters.

Indeed,

Indeed.

And yeah,

I love the idea that fortune is interesting.

So this is the Urban Dictionary,

This is the dictionary.

Com.

So this is what stuff is being put out there into the world.

The force operates for good or ill in a person's life.

The example is with my luck,

I'll probably get pneumonia.

Number two,

Good fortune advances your success.

The example is he had no luck in finding work.

And then the combination of circumstances,

External circumstances.

She's had nothing but bad luck all year.

And then right at the end,

I'll just put in this book for completion sake,

Some object on which good fortune is supposed to depend.

This rabbit's fault is my luck.

So it's interesting that we see this in the news,

Don't we?

That negative news seems to come out and get prominence over good news.

So attitude will have a great effect on whether you're lucky or not lucky.

I'm going to quote my wonderful mother-in-law.

She's not with us anymore.

And she was a warrior.

And I went to see her one day and she said,

Tom,

I'm really,

Really,

Really,

Really worried.

And I said,

Pauline,

Dear Pauline,

She's looking down on me now and laughing at this.

What's worrying you so much today?

She says,

Tom,

I've got nothing to worry about at the moment.

Therefore,

I'm really worried something really bad is about to happen.

I mean,

I talk about the sort of things I have to deal with with Pauline.

We'd go out,

She was slightly disabled and we had a blue badge and we'd be driving to a restaurant or to a hospital appointment and hoping to get the disabled parking space.

And she would say,

Oh,

We're not going to get it today.

Someone else will take it.

And I'm a great manifestor,

So I'd always get the parking space.

So I had to double up on her negative energy and counteract it to make sure that the parking space was there.

And every time I needed to park somewhere with her,

There was always a space.

So,

Marita,

This is a good example of good luck.

I serendipitously opened up the app and found you this morning,

30 minutes before you started.

I'm so incredibly fond of yours.

That's really nice.

I've probably blushed now.

And Tanya,

That's a lovely thought.

How can you have nothing when you have luck?

So let's talk about getting luck into our world,

Shall we?

Some time ago,

I've always been lucky.

I've written about this in a couple of books of mine and I've been very fortunate.

I come from a very poor background,

One of seven kids.

We didn't have a lot of money.

As soon as I went to school and got some learning under my belt,

I always landed on my feet and increasingly seemed to,

Which is interesting.

So I came across this system called Smart Goal Setting in my 40s.

And it's quite interesting.

I'd never set goals before then.

I'd always just landed on my feet.

But I was kind of trying to change my direction at the time.

I was going out from being a board IT consultant and someone working in corporate into this creative world rather than an author.

And I came across Smart Goal Setting,

Which is setting a goal which is specific,

Measured,

Achievable,

Realistic and timed.

And it's pretty good.

So I set some goals and things started to happen,

Which is great.

And I noticed that 50 percent of them didn't come off,

Which is kind of interesting.

So I saw a few years later,

By complete luck,

A female shaman by the name of Judith Selig in London.

And she is an amazing lady,

Ex journalist,

And she was tapped into Native American Indian stuff.

And she'd sing at you and make sounds at you to get rid of stuff that was stuck in your body.

You go and have a almost be sang at and the body would vibrate and stuff like that.

And she said she told me off and said,

Tom,

You're a really good manifesto,

But you've got to stop manifesting and trying to make it happen.

You've got to learn how to just allow it to arrive.

And that really did.

Well,

It did shake me up literally and physically.

And it changed my way of going about things,

Which is led by luck to me being here right now.

I didn't design this this world and design this career for myself.

The last thing I thought I was,

As I've said many times,

I've never studied meditation.

I haven't been to an ashram.

I've been trained in mindfulness or have you.

And so I'm lucky to be here,

Lucky to be able to speak to all of you.

I'm lucky to have a fantastic Internet connection,

Being a lovely part of the world and have all these lovely people around,

Which is great.

And also have the talent,

The skills to be able to pull this off.

You know,

Like everyone that's in the creative industry,

Imposter syndrome always raises its head.

I think you're only as good as you're only as good as your last creative output.

So she asked,

I'll remember we don't make the Earth spin.

Well,

It's interesting.

Maybe we do.

Maybe it's our collective consciousness that does that.

Yes.

So lots of people talking about law of attraction,

All this sort of manifestation stuff.

So I'm going to just explain what Judith Selig,

This shamanka,

Explained to me.

She said,

Stop setting goals based on targets.

So a SMART goal is I want to sell a million books within five years.

I'm going to achieve this by doing such and such on Amazon.

I'm making it realistic because I know other people that have done that,

Too.

And I'm going to time it as well.

So I'm going to say five years.

I'm not going to say five months or five days.

That would be unrealistic.

And she said,

Stop doing that.

What you're going to do is set goals based on what you want to learn.

And this really,

Really intrigued me.

I said,

What do you mean by that?

She said,

Well,

Just say,

You know,

I want you all to do this right now.

I'm going to play some music in the background and we'll just do a brief exercise.

She did this where she did it one day,

One week,

One month,

Six months,

One year,

Three years,

Five years,

Ten years.

So it's quite a lot of things to do.

So we've got a bit of paper ready.

I want you to just set three goals for what you would like to learn by the end of next month.

So by the end of March.

What you'd then like to learn by the end of 2022.

And you can write one thing down or several things down on what you'd like to learn,

Let's say,

In three years time.

So I'll just play a bit of music in the background.

And if you just want to spend a few minutes just thinking about that.

You.

And if anyone would like to share their one month,

One year,

Three year goals of learning in the chat box,

That would be absolutely lovely.

Don't worry,

We'll give you plenty of time.

There's no rush.

So seven of the 30 seconds will then reflect on one or two of the things that people said.

Wow,

Thank you so much for the lovely examples.

So are some really good things in there.

So I have no idea what pickleball is,

But it sounds wonderful.

And it's a short term goal to meditate daily.

Of course,

With Insight Timer,

We're all very lucky that we've got this great resource in our kit bag.

Linda,

By the end of the month to learn to communicate better with my son-in-law.

Claire to learn to be in the ordinary every day of my life,

With a view to holding my sewing skills.

And Linda,

This is a great one,

To finish Kaziah's Tarot course.

That's an excellent course.

Kaziah,

This is about luck.

Kaziah is on my target list of people to interview again for my podcast this year.

So again,

This is about luck.

You notice things,

People reminding you about things.

Abbie to continue to learn to be better at what I do.

Learning to lose weight,

Paint watercolour,

Learn to date in Covid time,

To live on my own.

Esther do connect with Siri in Norway.

She's a fantastic artist and teacher.

And again,

These are little serendipities that come our way when we actually put it out there that this is what we want to learn.

Then often,

Often,

Often,

Often the thing turns up.

And this was so good about learning based goals.

We set the goal not as a target,

But something we want to learn.

And then the opportunity comes our way.

Now,

There's one particularly one I need to focus on just here.

Couple actually here.

So,

So one learning to communicate better with my son-in-law.

I hope you don't mind me sharing that Linda.

So what is fine will happen is the opportunity to communicate better rocks up,

Which is really,

Really interesting.

Lady,

You'd like to learn to be a writer again.

The opportunity to find the course to help you do that.

In fact,

I think there's a course on Insight Timer I saw recently about writing,

Which will help you do that too.

OK.

And this is all about reframing,

As you say,

We're reframing the goal.

So the goal's been more manageable.

Now,

What I discovered when I went into goals of learning,

I encourage you to go more granular with this and go into the next day,

The next week,

The next month,

Next six months is,

Let's say you set a three month goal,

Something you want to learn.

It tends to rock up within a week.

If you set a year out goal,

It tends to rock up in about three months.

So you advance your evolution.

You start to move faster.

And it's almost like the universe then picks up on your desire to learn and to grow and evolve and gives you examples.

Now,

Most of the time,

They're really lovely happenstances.

So they're things that will help you move forward.

Occasionally,

You might get a curveball.

I was writing a book called Managing Time Mindfully,

And I was going to do it in a month.

And guess what?

A dog ran into my leg and broke it and slowed me down.

And it made me realize that the very quick book I was about to write had to be slightly bigger.

And it made me write a book just about twice the size.

So sometimes things come in strange ways to help you.

I wrote a better book because of that.

So now what we'd like to do is,

As I mentioned,

Let's do this again.

But let's let's do this collectively for the planet and specifically of the people in Ukraine.

Let's not forget about all the people in Russia,

Too,

Who really don't like what's going on,

But they're not in a position to do anything about it.

So there's a lot of people at the moment and it doesn't just apply to Ukraine and Russia,

But to lots of places on the planet.

So I'm going to play some music again.

Let's do the same thing again.

But let's say within a week,

Let's let's try and accelerate this now for the wonderful people of Ukraine.

Within a week,

What do we what we want the planet to learn.

Within a month,

What do we want the planet to learn.

And by the end of the year,

What do we want the planet to learn.

So let's play some music again.

You.

So this is fantastic,

Right?

We're all on this call separated from each other in voice.

So you can all hear me,

But we can't hear each other.

But there's such synergy about what's coming in,

Which is interesting.

And thank you for that comment.

Halqr saying thank you to any event that comes in.

So basically,

There's there's a collective knowledge between the sits between us all about the thing that we want to change.

One is that we are connected,

That if you do harm to another,

You do harm to yourself.

The idea that if you're holding anger,

I know there was a comment before someone wants to learn to to get rid of anger by 2025.

Well,

I'd say don't wait till 2025.

Do it tomorrow.

Listen to my meditation just for today.

I'm going to talk about the insight timer.

And there's a prompt in there that says,

Imagine you're sitting standing on a cliff edge,

Not about to fall or anything,

But you're standing at the top of a cliff.

You get all your anger,

You scrunch it up together and you throw it out as far as you can and let it sink into the sea.

So,

As Buddha says,

I think holding on to a hot gold and not throwing it is not a very smart thing to do.

So,

Great opportunity we've got here then collectively for that to amplify and to go out.

So let's just look at how we're going to do that and explore how we can take that just as a notion and then take it out into the world.

Remember,

This is entitled the alchemy of luck.

So it's not just a theoretical conversation about the semantics of the word luck or the definitions of the word luck.

It's about how do you actually tone up your luck muscles so the sort of things that you want to bring into your world and bring in to the world can actually actually happen.

This is big,

Isn't it?

That's why I'm just pausing about the analogy of all this,

Because maybe the title alchemy of luck is maybe misleading in some way.

Maybe there's another thing going on here.

So,

I'm going to share an amazing stroke of luck that came my way just a week ago by way of example,

Which is the funniest thing ever.

And I just got a great sense of humor.

I love when you get a stroke of luck coming in.

Often the stroke of luck comes in and you don't even notice it until after it came in.

And the one I'll share at the very end is an example of that.

The most amazing thing that happened between me and Insight Timer about something that's happening in April.

I'm not going to read out all the comments in the chat room,

But they're absolutely wonderful.

You're just an amazing bunch of people.

Thanks so much for coming together.

And I say I consider myself very lucky that we've got this ability to connect with you all.

And that was a stroke of luck when Insight Timer found me.

I had no idea my meditations were any good.

I assumed that they were just accessories to my books and I was an author with meditations on the side.

And that was August 2015,

I think.

And since then,

It's become clear to me that meditations are the thing.

And the books are the accessory.

But I also know there's other streams coming in right now.

And these are all sort of things that only happened when you grab that luck with both hands and really run with it.

Thank you for that kind donation.

So let's think about luck and the tool that we've all got,

That we're all lucky to possess.

And it's this connection through Insight Timer.

We've got in our possession access to the best technology on the planet,

Not the technology of the app,

The technology of meditation to tune in to luck.

So if you're like my dear departed mother-in-law and you think that things are out to get you and the world is an unkind place,

You can manifest that really,

Really easily.

And the better you are at alchemy,

The better you are at manifesting the not so good things in your life.

I'm not saying they're bad things,

They're not so good things.

And so if something not so good pops along,

As Halca said,

Say thank you to it.

Thank you for popping along.

And once you say thank you to it,

The next time that thing might pop along,

Either it doesn't pop along at all or your attitude to it completely changes.

But what's going on inside our heads and what's going on inside our other mind senses is what manifests in our lives.

So when we have a quiet mind,

We achieve this through meditation.

After a while,

I noticed it takes a while,

You're new to meditation for this to happen,

But after about two or three weeks of daily meditation and I meditate absolutely every single day,

No matter what.

But sometimes it's just a minute,

Sometimes it's 20 minutes,

Sometimes it's an hour.

It doesn't matter what that quiet time is.

Sometimes it's not formal meditation,

Listening to an app or anything like that.

I might just be meditating out,

Walking or whatever.

It's other thoughts pop in that you weren't having.

And what's interesting about these other thoughts is the vast majority of thoughts are not what you think of as your own.

And I was lucky many,

Many years ago to be introduced to the Tarot,

Which is why I'm so keen on it,

Because I had given,

She's absolutely amazing and I love the Tarot.

And for those that don't know the Tarot too well,

It's not a fortune telling device,

Or you can't use it for that.

It's actually a set of keys to awaken nascent aspects of our consciousness.

And I got introduced to the Tarot and a chap called Paul Foster Case,

Who he passed away in 1955,

Which is about three years before I was born.

And he wrote an amazing book called The Key to the Wisdom of Ages.

And this book explains that the Tarot,

The major arcana of the Tarot,

Represents different modes of consciousness,

22 different modes of consciousness.

And they're split into three rows of seven with one at the top.

The one at the top is the fool,

You know,

The Tarot,

Who is the wisest card in the deck.

And the fool is that very lucky person who just goes through life without care in his head at all.

And things just rock up just at the most perfect time.

And the reason the fool is so good at this is he has mastered all the other 21 keys.

And the 21 keys,

The three rows of keys relate to the three different types of thought forms that we can have.

And I'm not just going to talk about this in theory.

We're going to go and experience these thought forms right now.

We're going to do a short meditation.

We've got plenty of time.

The first row,

Keys one to seven,

Represent conscious thoughts.

So these are thoughts that are in your head like,

Yes,

I'm going to make a decision.

I'm going to go do this now.

I'm going to go and do.

I'm going to choose between one or two things.

I'm going to drive myself forward.

These kind of conscious thoughts.

The second row,

Which is keys eight to 14,

Thought forms emanate from our lower mind centres.

So these are feelings like,

Oh,

I'm not so sure about that.

I've got a bad feeling about that.

Oh,

I would love to do it.

These are heart-centred things.

If you've got a bad feeling,

A gut feeling,

That's in the lower mind centre again.

And Bharti,

You asked about the name of the book.

It's called Key to the Wisdom of Ages.

I'll put that in.

And it's by Paul Foster Case.

And then the bottom row of thoughts is where we really,

Really can conjure up luck by paying attention to them.

And these are thoughts that come from the collective consciousness.

These are keys in the Tarot.

These are keys 15 through to 21.

And I wrote a book because Paul Foster Case's book is really complex,

But it's a great book.

I must have read it about 10 times and I keep seeing different things I've never seen them before.

So I wrote an interpretation called Flavours of Thought back in 2009.

And that's what really got me into this stuff.

So I thought what we'd do is we'd tune into these things,

Because when you tune into keys 15 to 21,

These I call these ethereal whispers.

These little whispers on the wind.

Just a thought that goes against your thought stream just pops in out of nowhere.

It can take you off in a completely different direction.

And then when you modulate that by what I call unconscious murmurs,

These are the keys between 8 and 14.

Then you can go,

Oh,

I like the sound of that.

Oh,

I'm loving this idea.

I'm loving this idea that's come off the top of my head.

And then what you can do is allow that to percolate up into your conscious mind and you can come up with a plan of action.

And now when you do this,

You practice this,

So you get the idea of the top of your head.

You either fall in love with it or you reject it and then you allow it to percolate up into the conscious mind.

And then you act upon it.

Then you move into the area that the fool occupies and you find out that,

Whoa,

That was just brilliant.

Where did that come from?

I love it.

It's great.

It's going to take me in a new direction.

Yes.

So let's just do another meditation where we're going to tune into these different mind types.

So you can understand the different signature.

Because I've been doing this for so long now,

I know exactly where a thought has come from and what thought signatures are like.

They're different for everybody,

These thought signatures.

But you'll soon get the idea of it.

Now,

I pretty much repeat several meditations on the app now in the next 10 minutes or so.

So just bear with if you've heard some of these things before.

But I guarantee I've never delivered this content in this context before,

In the context of luck.

And we're also going to wrap in those goals.

So make sure you've got your goals in front of you,

Your personal goals for one month,

End of the year and three years.

I'm going to wrap that up into this meditation as well.

Thanks for all these kind donations that are coming in.

So let's just put some more music on again.

And the reason I know that this meditation is unique is I haven't planned it.

And if you plan too many things,

You kind of get in the way of your own luck,

Because you can go into that smart goal setting mode where you're working towards targets,

As opposed to saying,

What happens if I just go with it like the fool in the tarot,

Just allow the world to come to me.

So let's just take a couple of deep breaths together.

So we'll just breathe in.

And breathe out.

And in again.

And out.

Let's just imagine this,

That on the in-breath is when we allow luck to come in.

And on the out-breath is how we express that luck into the world.

So breathe that luck into your world.

And then breathe that luck out into the world,

Expression of you.

Let's do that for five times,

Five in- and out-breaths.

And thank you,

Seats,

For that token of solidarity to Ukraine with their lovely flags.

Now,

While you've been breathing in and out,

What are the thoughts that are going around in your head?

Were you aware of them?

Or were you focusing on the in- and the out-breath?

So just think about the thoughts in your head right now.

What accent are they in?

If you speak multiple languages,

Which language are they in?

And think about whether the accent that's inside your head is the same as your spoken accent.

And if someone is speaking inside your head,

I wonder if you've ever had this thought.

If someone is speaking,

Who is doing the listening?

And are they the same person?

Two different people?

Or two aspects of the same people?

The same person?

So let those thoughts now just percolate down.

Imagine first that you're speaking some of these thoughts.

You can speak out loud,

Now I can't hear you,

No one else can hear you.

So whatever thoughts on your mind right now,

Just allow that to come out of your voice box.

And I'm going to use a comment from the wonderful Helka in Czechoslovakia.

I send love also to the Russian people.

They also need outlove,

Otherwise too much polarity is created.

It doesn't serve anybody.

I have friends in both countries and I love them both.

So just take that notion that came from my fifth chakra point,

I came spoken from my fifth chakra.

So take that notion and allow that to come sink down into your heart chakra.

And now let us all collectively send out that love to the people of both countries.

And this might sound strange,

But send it also to Vladimir Putin,

A man who is obviously at some point in his life,

Been devoid of love.

You might find that hard to do.

Send that love out.

And what you can do is you can breathe in and suck it and the collective love from us,

From me and from the people around you on this session.

And as you breathe out,

Send that collective love out to the people of Ukraine,

Belarus,

Crimea,

Baltic nations,

Poland,

Russia.

And notice how that thoughtful,

The sending out of love,

That feeling of love has got a completely different signature to it than the thoughts that are in your head.

And you just notice the difference between keys one to seven,

The tarot,

Those thought of conscious thoughts and keys eight to 14,

Those unconscious thoughts.

Very subtle.

In fact,

Our heart doesn't speak in a language only speaks in about levels it speaks cold,

Lukewarm,

Hot or absolutely boiling.

So you either don't like something you're ambivalent about it,

Or you really love it.

Our gut when it speaks in a yes or no.

Our sacral mind just speaks with a need or a wanting.

And our root mind is connected to the mind of the earth.

So it's something that is a bonded thing.

So does what we're thinking,

Feeling and doing bond with the will of Mother Earth?

And thank you for that perception.

All been driven by just a few men,

Interesting men,

Where the women in all of this aggression,

The seeding of this aggression.

So if it's just a few people,

Then collectively we can do something about this,

Especially when we're using our chemical tools as well.

And especially when we're using these goals of learning.

So I'd like to look at the goals of learning right now.

And we're going to go and tune into them and bring a bit nearer.

So bring your awareness up again,

Back into your brain from your heart.

And imagine that your awareness goes to the centre of your brain,

Your pineal gland.

So that's about right,

Just above,

It's behind your eyebrows,

Essentially your eyebrows,

About three inches in.

And just become an observer of your thoughts.

And if you like,

You can imagine that you're looking at the back of your eyeballs and you become an observer of the observer.

And you can do this with your eyes closed or your eyes open.

And now let your awareness float up,

Imagining your awareness is tethered to your pineal gland,

And it floats up to your crown.

But it's tethered to your pineal gland with a strong,

Thin,

Gossamer thread.

And just imagine now that your awareness floats out above your head and you can look down upon yourself from above your head,

But with your awareness tethered to your pineal gland.

And from this position,

You go to a place of all time.

And behind you,

Or sometimes it's to your left,

Is your past.

And in front of you,

Sometimes it's to your right,

Is your future.

And just imagine on that future timeline,

Out in front of you,

To your right,

Are these goals of learning.

A week from now,

A month from now,

Six months from now,

A year from now,

Five years from now.

Just to answer your question,

Rajeev,

I'm recording this session that will be up on the app next week.

And there's also several meditations that are like this.

There's one called Future Entanglement you can find on the app,

Which goes through this similar sort of script.

And what you can do,

You can imagine that all of these learnings are out in front of you on a rope.

And all you need to do is to tie your consciousness,

Which is tied with that gossamer thread,

To that rope and start pulling yourself along that rope or pulling the rope back to you.

And this is entanglement,

This is temporal entanglement.

So now you've connected the learnings with your consciousness.

All you need to do is allow your consciousness to sink back down inside your head,

Knowing that your future timeline,

Your perfect future timeline,

Is entangled with your goals.

And they're just going to rock up.

But they're going to rock up when you're least expecting them.

And they're going to rock up with the most amazing happenstance and serendipity that will make you smile.

So let me share something with you.

Anyone got any questions,

Any observations,

Do pop them in the chat room.

Just come back into the room,

Allow all your thoughts to flood front,

Back,

Top,

Bottom,

Left and right of your brain.

Completely entangled now with your perfect future,

Where the learnings are going to come your way.

Let me share with you the most amazing bit of happenstance that wandered into my world in the last week or so,

Which is kind of funny.

So a few people have asked me on these Insight Timer Lives,

When am I going to do a workshop on Insight Timer?

And I've been aware that workshops and mentoring has been a feature of Insight Timer for some time.

And thank you,

Maya,

You created a signal during this time for Luck and Ease.

So that's great.

You created that rabbit's foot,

Which is a fantastic way of anchoring these ethereal whispers into the physical plane.

And that's a really good thing to do.

In fact,

You can take the bit of paper that you've written on,

Put it inside an envelope and you can address it to yourself.

If you want,

You can even go to a postbox and put it in a put a stamp on it,

Have it delivered back to you.

A sigil is like a sign or an emblem,

That kind of thing.

I believe I should look it up.

What is a sigil?

Sometimes we think we know a word.

It's a seal sign word device to have occult power in astrology or magic.

So absolutely perfect and wise and safe thing to do,

Maya.

Well done for doing that.

Yes.

So we create our own rabbit's feet,

Which is a good thing to do.

Oh yes.

So I've been aware that I could apply,

Quite a tortuous route to apply to run a workshop or to sign up for mentoring.

So I took this decision or was the decision made for me?

I wasn't going to bother.

I was going to wait.

And when I waited,

It would be because then the perfect time and conditions were coming about.

Now,

I've been really busy recently as well,

So I wasn't able to do this workshop.

But I got an email from Insight Timer the other week saying,

Would you do a workshop?

And I'm going to do a workshop about my next two Insight Timer lives,

So introductions to that workshop.

I sent them several ideas and I thought,

How can I expand on one of the courses that are on the app at the moment?

I've got three courses.

I've got one called the Business of Mindfulness.

I've got one called Mindfulness for Busy People.

I've got one called the Art of Timeliness.

I thought,

Well,

I don't want to run a Timeliness course.

So I sent them several ideas and instead of the Timeliness idea,

I said,

Well,

How about Attention Management?

And this course is going to run in April over three sessions at the same time on the Friday.

So the 8th,

The 15th and the 22nd of April.

And they sent me this link.

That's the Insight Timer link.

And I thought,

I can't share that link with people.

That's a ridiculous thing to share.

So because I'm a techie nerd,

I thought I'll just set up a redirect on my website.

So this is the link that I've set up,

Which is www.

Tomevans.

Co.

Atman,

Which is short for Attention Management.

And then about a few days later,

I went,

Atman,

Atman,

That rings a bell,

Doesn't it?

What is atman?

So you get into Wikipedia,

You look up atman,

Which is spelled slightly differently.

And of course,

It's the soul.

It's the soul in Jainism,

In Hinduism,

Buddhism.

It's the soul.

Yeah,

So I realized that this is how the world plays tricks with you.

So atman,

Which was this thing I did to make a link easier,

It was just reminding me that this course,

Although it's about Attention Management,

Which is the New Time Management,

Is actually paying attention to those subtle signals from our soul.

And one of the ways you can think about our soul is that it's a discarnate aspect of our consciousness that sees all aspects of us in all times,

Past,

Present and future.

But our soul might also be the future version of us,

The perfect future version of us,

Calling us to meet our soul.

So it's on that timeline,

Which is kind of interesting.

So this got my attention.

And so in the Attention Management course,

I'll be talking about time,

Obviously,

But I'll be also talking about how we pay attention to those thought forms,

Paying attention to the things that are calling us,

That make us really,

Really lucky.

Now,

Bear this in mind as well.

I put this Insight Timer live up a month ago before Insight Timer got in touch with me to run this workshop.

And this live is absolutely connected with the workshop I didn't know I was going to run,

Which is really interesting.

The materials from the workshop are also relating to the Tarot,

Which is a big project I'm working on with Siri in Norway right now.

That's all connected,

Connected with the Flavours of Thought book I wrote back in 2009,

Having read this book by Paul Foster Case back in 2005,

2006.

By the way,

Podcast at the moment is just in transition,

Mona.

It was the Soul Waves podcast,

But it's now emerging into something else called the Uber standings.

But that's kind of outside the scope of this thing just for now.

But basically what's happened is,

Everything which I thought was slightly disconnected has also now just come back into the same place.

So often I go and do something off tangent one way and think that's diverting me from the thing I should be doing.

But recently I found that everything is being pulled in the same direction.

And the reason for that is because I've stopped any form of goal setting and I'm just following where my soul leads.

So on that note,

I wonder if the planet has a soul.

I wonder if we have a collective soul.

In which case some of the events that are going on in the world right now are just us going through something that needs to be got out of our system.

And how can you just make me laugh?

We haven't done goal setting,

We've done soul setting.

Let your soul be your pilot,

Sting 1993.

By the way,

Sting lives about 10 miles from me now.

So the next Insight Timer Live is the 11th of March,

At the same time 2 o'clock GMT.

I'm going to talk about introducing attention management.

25th of March I'm going to be talking about how things grab your attention.

And then on the 8th,

15th and 22nd of March is when I run the workshop.

You're not supposed to promote things on these Insight Timer Lives but I'm guessing you could promote Insight Timer events.

There is an investment in that,

$99 I think it is.

And I'm going to make a guarantee to everyone that's on that workshop.

One,

You're going to get the time invested back many,

Many times over.

And we've been talking about money,

The up to me of money on these series.

You're also going to get that back in spades in terms of abundance that's going to come your way.

Because when you're on the right soul path,

And there's a playlist called the Soul Path that you can listen to for free on Insight Timer.

When you're on the right soul path,

Everything you need to help you evolve into the most perfect version of you just rocks up at the most perfect time.

As we have all today,

It's been a joy to speak to you.

We're just coming up to one hour right now.

Thanks for all the wonderful donations and hope to see you on the next two Insight Timer Lives in March.

And I hope as many of you as possible can come on to the Attention Management Workshop knowing that it's all going to be all about soul setting and entanglement and us all walking into the most perfect future together.

Big love everybody.

Stay safe,

Stay well.

And remember to send lots of love to those people in Ukraine and Russia and in the surrounding states.

Love this. I happen to be listening in Friday the 13th too! I have heard your other meditations, as you mentioned, but not in reference to luck! Also enjoy the talk format as mini lesson, not entirely a meditation. Thanks again for giving us access to your wealth of knowledge!

Loved this Tom. The part about your mother in law rings very true for me. I read the tarot, but never heard that before about splitting the major arcana into three parts. That’s incredibly helpful, so thank you for sharing that.
