Perceiving The Aura

This guided practice is more instructional than meditative. It's part of a mini-series to help raise your vibration and immunity in these strange days. Being more sensitive to the auric field is just one practical outcome. Be mindful of only looking at auras with permission.

So in this guided visualization we extend our super sensibilities outside our body and we use them to detect and sense the aura.

And this visualization is in two parts.

In the first part we're just going to feel the aura and in the second part we'll use the other senses starting with sight for which having a mirror handy is really useful.

And you can do this visualization sitting down in a chair or even standing up.

And just be intuitive about when you have your eyes open or your eyes closed or your eyes partially open.

Because as you will experience we detect the aura not with our eyes but with our third eye.

And we start by taking five deep in and out belly breaths.

To do this put your hands on your belly so your middle fingers just touch and breathe in so your belly expands and your fingers part.

And then breathe out about four times as long as the in breath with your mouth slightly open so the fingers just touch again.

Do this five times.

So take your hands off your belly and slowly raise them up so they're about shoulder height with your fingers pointing towards each other but separated and splayed apart.

And have your hands about the width of your torso apart.

And then very slowly move them towards each other so the fingers would touch but stop when they're about an inch or so away or two or three centimeters from each other.

And then back them away from each other.

Then bring them back together again making sure the fingers don't actually touch.

Then just very slowly oscillate them away from each other and towards each other.

Never actually touching the fingers.

Just do this until you feel a slight tingling between your fingers and in your hands and in your palms.

Now cup your hands slightly and again oscillating your hands backwards and forwards so they never quite touch.

Imagine you're forming a ball of energy between your hands.

And next time you bring your hands together just stop so the ball is about the size of a tennis ball between your hands.

Raise your hands up slowly past your face so they're above the top of your head.

Now take that ball above your crown then move your hands apart so it releases and falls down through your body.

Around your spine all the way down to your root and as you do so bring your hands down so they're facing each other around shoulder height again.

Now unguided by me for the next minute or so just use your hands working together to form a ball of energy and play with it move it around your body and you can even give yourself what's called an aura wash.

I will leave you to work out how best to do this for you.

So in the first part of this visualization we've been using our clair sentient ability to feel the aura and in the second part we'll use the other six senses to detect perceive and sense the aura.

Now it's really important when it comes to seeing the aura that you get permission from the person you're looking at before doing so but you can practice on plants and animals but it's also nice to ask them first too.

So what we'll do here if you've got a mirror handy you're going to use yourself as the subject.

Looking straight at the mirror you lock your eyes on the eyes in your reflection.

But you become aware of the space around your head and your body.

And just imagine you're looking right through the reflection in front of you.

And you do this by taking your awareness from your eyeballs into your pineal gland.

So you imagine you're looking at the back of your eyeballs.

And you're even staring through the eyeballs in your reflection into the third eye of your reflection.

But with your awareness all around.

Just do this for 30 seconds or so and allow what you see to come forward.

So here we've been using the clairvoyant sense of our third eye to actually see what we can see.

But we can use the other six senses too.

So still looking at your reflection and you can look at your reflection with your eyes open closed or partially closed.

Just sense what you know about your aura using claircognizance.

And now let's bring your clairaudience to bear.

Bring your awareness to the ears on either side of your head in the reflection.

And let them bond with your ears.

And this might be a flight of the imagination but just imagine what your aura sounds like.

And now let's use your clairgustatory sense.

If your aura had a taste what would it taste like?

And now let's use your clairolfactory sense,

The sense of smell.

If you could smell your aura what would its aroma be like?

And now with your eyes open imagine that your reflection is looking at you.

Tune into the third eye of your reflection and allow the sense of what your reflection can see around you to filter into your consciousness.

Now perceiving the aura is one of these gifts that's best not to overuse,

To overstretch or to force.

It's an ability which is conferred upon us and works through us.

But it's one you can also have a lot of fun with.

But at the same time be patient and let it come forth.

As I mentioned always seek permission before looking at somebody else's aura.

Fascinating and (since I just also listened to Mindful Eating and the Incentahealth interview) -and filling me with curious mental explorations of what happens with aura as we eat? Mindfully or not? But then that might be forcing the aura awareness too much ( this is my first aura gazing session)โ€ฆ. And I am so very curious about this ideaโ€ฆ I would to hear your thoughts on this, Tom Evans.
