I'm Tom Evans and welcome to another Zone Show podcast.

It's always a pleasure to have another meditation guide on the podcast and an extra pleasure when that meditation guide is also one of the guides on Insight Timer.

So welcome,

Christine and Grossi,

How are you?

Thank you.

I'm fine,

Thank you.

Isn't it amazing how the Insight Timer app,

Which is essentially about people meditating,

Has also got this wonderful sense of community and how you meet these people from the world that you wouldn't otherwise come across?

Yes,

It's lovely.

And how long have you been on the app now?

I think about six months or something,

Maybe eight.

And did you find them or did they find you?

It was through one of my friends in Canada,

Hannah Horner.

She sent a link to me and she said,

You must listen to this,

It's really good.

And then I saw she was publishing her meditations on it in Swedish.

And I said,

How can you do that?

I want to do that.

Just so people know you're based in Sweden.

Yes.

Yeah.

Obviously speak good English,

Which is handy.

But I just was listening to all your meditations in Swedish.

And I've got to say that even though I don't understand much other than Skol and maybe Tuzentak,

Then I can understand quite a lot of it,

Which is quite amazing.

It's all about chakras.

Yes.

And it's amazing how the language is universal.

Yeah.

Yes.

Because you listen with your heart.

I think that's,

You know.

So what was your background into meditation?

Is it something you've always done?

I think about 20 years ago I started with healing and Reiki healing and then I did a lot of yoga as well.

And the meditation,

Well,

It began for 20 years ago,

But I began as a teacher.

I think it's 15 years ago,

Something like that.

And is that your main modality then?

Do you use meditation as a healing tool?

I think so.

I don't do any treatments any longer with people,

But I think when I'm speaking,

My healing is always with me.

So yes,

It is healing.

But isn't that nice though,

That with an app like Insight Timer,

You can have your meditations out there and without you having to,

You'd even be asleep and people are getting the benefit of your healing.

Yes,

Of course.

That's perfect.

Even if they don't hear a word,

So they can get the healing anyway.

So it's,

Yeah,

It's really nice.

When you come across people that first get into meditation,

What do you find the resistance is like?

Do people find it hard to keep up with the practice?

Yes,

I think a lot of people want to see when they are meditating.

They want to see something.

If I say we can go through the forest or something,

They don't see anything.

So yeah,

I think they are disappointed sometimes when they don't see anything.

They only feel it.

But I said that's good enough to feel something.

You don't have to see everything.

What benefits do you find people get when they get over that hurdle?

They feel more relaxed.

They can take more good decisions.

They know what to do in their life.

Just to be calm as well.

Yes,

They're calm.

And where does that intuition come from?

What's your personal feeling about where this guidance and calmness emanates from?

Well,

For me,

I think I read A Course in Miracles.

So for me,

It's something like God,

But not the God in the Bible or something,

But like an energy.

It's God and it's the guides or the angels.

I always get messages in some way.

And I think it's from the universe or God or guides or angels or everything together.

That's interesting.

And so this language then of the angels must be universal.

Yes,

Of course.

And how do you get your messages?

Do they come in as thoughts or they come in as voices or feelings or just knowings?

All of those.

All the ways,

I think.

Sometimes like a sentence.

I get a sentence and then I started to write the sentence and then I get more and more information what I'm going to write.

If I'm writing a text or a poem or something.

And sometimes I just know,

Just have a feeling that this is right to do.

This is my path.

Here I'm going to go and so on.

Or sometimes I hear a song on the radio that's,

Aha,

Now I know what I'm going to do.

Or I find a book that I need to read or pick up or something like that.

That's interesting then.

Did you find then that that ability,

That super sensibility as I call it,

Did that switch on after you got initiated into Reiki or did you always have it?

I think I always had it because I was highly sensitive.

As a child?

As a child,

Yes.

I could feel everything.

My grandmother was very sick so I could feel her.

I was always sleeping on her couch because I was so tired.

I felt she was very sick and ate a lot of medicine.

So yeah,

I could feel her energy.

And when I get in a room I can feel the energy already.

I know how it feels.

So you don't work with clients using that healing modality anymore,

Which sounds like a shame though,

As long as you're a very powerful healer.

Yes.

But I know you do retreats,

Don't you?

Yes.

Yoga retreats and meditation retreats and we work a lot with spiritual things as well.

So they get healing even if I don't put my hands on them,

The people who are there in the yoga sessions or in the meditation sessions.

And because the Zone shows listen to people all over the world,

Do these retreats for people just speak Swedish or are they for a general audience in all languages?

No,

Only Swedish.

So a lot of people come from Sweden with me and they have found me on Facebook or Instagram and following me and then they want to go travel.

And so you go places like Kerala and Goa and Marrakesh?

Yes.

Wow.

So nice,

Yes.

I love it.

I love India and Marrakesh,

Italy of course.

I'm half Italian so Italy is really.

Of course.

That's where the grossy side of it comes from.

Yes,

Yes.

And I guess you speak perfect Italian as well,

Don't you?

Yes,

I do.

So maybe you should be doing meditations in English and Italian and Swedish then.

Yes,

Maybe I should.

No,

I'm not indeed.

Yes.

And talking of meditations,

You very kindly gave me some feedback recently about my 21-day meditation retreat.

And one of the things about you,

I don't know about you,

But I'm always nervous about sharing my meditations with other meditation teachers because it's like being back at school and sharing it with your peers.

Yes.

And obviously they are done in English.

How did you get on with that retreat?

I really like that because,

Well,

I meditate every day.

So doing 21 days is nothing more for me to do.

But I really like to listen to another teacher and I liked your meditations on Inside Timer.

I really liked them.

And I like your voice and I feel very,

Yeah,

I felt very calm.

And it's good to break a habit after 21 days.

I know that whatever you do,

You do it for 21 days and you can change your habit to something good.

So if you have a bad habit,

Of course.

And if you want a new habit,

It's good to do it for 21 days as well.

So yeah,

It was really,

Yeah,

It was a really good course retreat.

So thank you for that.

So you very kindly said,

And we were great fans of this on the Zone show,

We didn't just talk about meditation,

We liked doing it as well.

You very kindly said that you'd share a meditation with us in English.

So shall we listen to your heart meditation right now?

We can do that.

Let's go.

Relax and take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.

And let your body relax more and more.

Just keep on breathing still and calm.

You can listen to my voice and the music.

This meditation is a heart opener.

And I'm going to send you some healing during the meditation.

Keep on breathing in and out and listen to your heartbeat.

Visualize light in your heart.

It can be a white light or yellow,

Pink or a green light.

See a power of light warming up your heart and see that light inside your heart growing.

You feel its warmth and you know this is a time for your heart to speak to you.

Your heart will speak of grace and peace,

Love and light.

Try to feel everything that your heart is willing to say to you.

Maybe it's emotions from a long time ago,

Feelings or maybe it's feelings from right now.

Maybe you can sense some memories coming up.

Just let them come and let them go.

I'm now going to send some healing to you so you can just sit and be still and breathe.

Let the healing energy take place and fill your entire body with white light.

Just release everything in this moment.

View.

Then you can take a deep breath in.

And you can slowly come back to here and now.

Just let your body come back.

And then you can slowly open your eyes.

Namaste.

So people talk about the heart.

That was a lovely meditation by the way.

And thanks for recording it in English as well.

That's fantastic.

So people talk about the heart as well.

But many people talk about the heart metaphorically.

But I got the sense from that meditation that you were moving consciousness to the heart and using the heart as a mind center,

As an active mind center.

Do you think that's a shift that is a natural thing to do?

Do you think it's part of our human evolution that we're going to another place by opening this mind center and taking conscious control over it?

Or is it something which is kind of a bit weird and woo-woo?

I think so.

I think a lot of instead of taking all your answers from here,

Like I think you should move down to the heart and get your answers from here so you know where to go.

And yeah,

What does your heart say to you?

What do you really want?

Not the answers what you should do or what anyone else says you had to do,

But to listen to your heart instead.

And you can extend that obviously to the gut mind as well.

Kind of the gut mind will give you a yes or no.

Yes,

Yes,

Yes,

Yes.

And maybe the gut mind is yes,

Maybe it's the intuition talking or yeah.

And do you use the heart center also as a source of healing energy?

I know you said that you can heal with your hands are healing instruments.

Do you also use the heart as a healing instrument?

Yes,

They talk about the Reiki healing that is coming inside from your crown chakra and then from your heart chakra.

So there are two possibilities that the Reiki energy goes in the person,

The healer,

And then goes out in the hands.

So obviously you've been in this situation where you were sensitive and you had that from a child.

I was the other way around.

I kind of had everything switched on in my mid 40s and as an engineer I then kind of deconstructed and what all these weird things that were going on.

What would your advice be to somebody that was sensitive and maybe was either afraid of their powers and understand them?

How could they be guided into the ethical and safe use?

My first advice should be to meditate every day,

Of course,

Twice a day maybe to,

To still yourself.

But then you know how to use your powers and,

And,

And also be careful with your powers.

And with that,

I mean not to go around outside with a lot of people around you all the time.

To once a day at least you have some time for yourself so you can sit and come back home in your heart to get your powers back.

Because I know as a high sensitive person,

I know when I'm with a lot of people around me or in a crowd,

I,

I feel like I get tired.

I'm always having my,

My moment at home to bring me back.

But you know the meditation you shared about the heart then this is,

To me this is allowing people to not see the heart as this metaphor,

But as you see it as this conscious center.

So surely meditations like that will help as well because they'll help.

You can close the heart down when you don't want to leak it out too much.

You can then turn it on.

Also you can receive from other heart based people.

Yes.

You can feel that.

You can feel from people that are very open and yes,

Hot open,

Hot open.

So you can feel that.

That's the only love and light coming out from a person.

And I don't mean any,

That anybody is a bad person.

I don't mean that.

But you can feel the different,

Difference with people who are meditating and open up.

So what's next for you then?

What are your plans?

You've obviously made the shift from being a healer to being a meditative healer and obviously integrating the yoga into this.

Why do you think your own personal evolution will be going over the next few years?

I think I came home from Jerusalem two weeks ago and that was a big transformation for me.

So I think I'm going to do some other work now.

I've been writing a lot of texts and poems for five years and a lot of books as well.

So I think I'm going to work in another way now,

More with my voice,

Webinars and of course my retreats.

I'm going to Marrakesh in November so it's going to be lovely there.

No,

It's full since a year.

It's gone.
