Walking Each Other Home
by Tracy McCree
This guided journey invites you to step onto the Yellow Brick Road of awareness, meeting four inner-child parts represented by Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion, each reflecting our own inner innocence, courage, empathy, and wisdom. As you walk together, you’ll sense how these parts support and enliven one another—just as Ram Dass reminds us, “We’re all just walking each other home,” guiding one another toward healing, belonging, and connection to self. The meditation evokes the warmth of shared companionship, revealing that our truest home is found in the unity and holding of these parts. Music: Forever by Liborio Conti

Hello and welcome.
I'd like to welcome you here to this meditation,
To this guided visualization.
My name is Tracy McCree and I'm so happy you're here.
And today I'm going to talk a little bit about my own journey and then one of my favorite quotes on this spiritual journey and then guide you into a meditation,
Guided visualization of what the journey can sometimes feel like or some things that we might encounter along the way.
So I invite you to just settle in here,
Allow yourself to take some slow deep breaths and just settle and as we talk a little bit about one of my favorite quotes.
And before that,
I'll first tell you about when I first started my spiritual journey.
I worked with someone in the very beginning and it was a process of bringing them into finding their their center and speaking with their spirit guides and angels.
And in this,
I guided them and I saw two rainbows.
And then I said,
I don't know why,
But I'm hearing follow the yellow brick road.
And it was it ended up being a very profound guidance and healing for this person.
It was very particular to them of why the two rainbows came in.
But throughout my whole journey,
The Wizard of Oz would come in,
Which was one of my favorite movies when I was growing up as a kid.
And I would go to my grandmother's house and I'd go every weekend,
But at least once a year,
They would play it sometimes more,
Two or three times a year.
And every time they would play it,
I would watch it again.
And there was just always this really special resonance or message in the movie for me.
And it just always struck really deeply in my heart.
So it reminds me of the spiritual journey.
And one of my favorite quotes is the Ram Dass quote of,
We're all just walking each other home.
And that sort of reminds me of Dorothy finding her people or,
You know,
Characters along the way.
And just not thinking anything of,
You know,
Picking them up and grabbing them by the arm and saying,
Come on,
We'll all go on this journey.
So and literally hooking arms and skipping on the yellow brick road.
So in this case,
The spiritual path or the path that we're walking in general,
Life can be like into the yellow brick road.
And the characters will say that Dorothy is you and the people that we meet along the way who sometimes have different beliefs or things that may hold them back or that they're looking for outside of themselves.
We're all on this journey and we have these unique gifts and we also have these unique things that make us up.
And sometimes they're beliefs that hold us back.
So as we're getting ready to settle in to the guided meditation,
I invite you to just gently close your eyes and allow yourself to settle and take a deep breath in through your nose,
Out through your mouth.
And as we settle,
Feel yourself grounding here,
Feeling very held by the earth below.
Feel your sit bones get heavier.
And as you relax,
Soften your shoulders.
You can even roll one up,
Back and down the other up,
Back and down.
And allow yourself to fully settle here,
Get as comfortable as possible.
And lean back into the beautiful waterfall of grace.
And as you feel the grounding cord and the ground beneath you,
And it feels solid and steady,
It's like the golden path unfolding before you.
And you find yourself standing on the yellow brick road.
This is the path of your life,
Winding gently through your experiences,
Your choices,
Your becoming.
And as you begin to walk,
With each step you take,
You become more present,
More rooted,
Knowing that you're not alone.
With you walk three companions,
Not separate beings,
But parts of you.
Maybe beliefs that you may have,
Echoes of your inner child,
Each shaped by the stories you once believed to be true.
First,
You see this part present as the scarecrow.
Take some deep breaths here as you see this part of yourself outside of yourself.
They stumble a bit.
They're a bit unsure.
Straw poking through their seams.
Take some deep breaths with them.
And they hold the belief that they're not smart enough.
I can't trust my mind.
And just allow yourself to meet with this part.
Maybe when they were really young,
They internalized the belief,
The idea that being smart was for others.
That mistakes they made meant failure.
That your ideas weren't worthy.
Pause here,
Take some deep breaths and place your right hand on your forehead,
Your left hand on your heart,
And say,
I see you.
You have always been worthy.
You have always been wise.
Take some deep breaths here.
Your thoughts matter.
Your voice matters.
Take another deep breath here with this part of you.
Let the wind gently stir the straw,
Not as weakness,
But as flexibility.
As the beauty and imagination that this part has always contained.
And the power of the original thought.
Let go of anything not serving you.
And we can feel the straw releasing.
And as we feel this connection with this part,
Continue down the yellow brick road,
And the part feels happier now.
And it's skipping with you,
Arm in arm,
Walking each other home.
And now,
You've stumbled upon the Tin Man.
He moves in your direction.
He moves stiffly.
His joints creak with armor,
The old armor,
Layer upon layer of protection around his heart,
Around his chest.
And he holds the belief that to be safe,
I must guard my heart.
If I feel too much,
I'll break.
I invite you to now take your right hand and place it on your heart.
Feel your own heart now,
Both hands.
Place it over your heart.
Take a deep breath.
Feeling rooted and grounded in your body,
Holding your beautiful heart.
Deep breaths.
Another deep breath.
Feel it beating.
Feel your connection to your heart,
And that it's safe,
And that you're here with it.
You,
In higher self,
As Dorothy in this visualization,
You,
Feeling it being safe,
That it's not a risk.
It's not a risk,
But it's a gift.
Say to yourself softly,
It's okay to feel.
It's okay to feel.
It's safe.
My heart is not a weakness.
Take some deep breaths with this part of you who's ever felt like it's too much.
It's actually strong to be able to feel this.
Deep breaths,
And maybe make some slow gestures.
Gentle circles on your heart.
I can love and be loved.
I am whole.
And as you breathe in,
Imagine the Tin Man's metal chest warming,
Softening as the oils that were applied,
The blood flowing back into these places where you might have had to protect.
Allow this beautiful golden liquid to flow and soften,
Transforming into compassion and presence,
Letting go of any fears that you might have had.
Of not being safe.
Breathe in the courage to be,
And let go of fear.
Breathe in love,
And let go of these fears.
And as that continues to soften,
And you wrap your arm around the Tin Man,
And he smiles,
And he's happy,
And he's free of that belief,
He now skips with you along the yellow brick road,
The road to life of walking each other home.
And then you stumble upon the lion.
He's so strong in his body,
Yet hesitant in spirit.
And the lion shrinks back.
He's afraid to speak,
Afraid to be seen.
He hides behind the bushes,
Carrying the old belief,
That if I speak my truth,
I won't be loved.
If I speak my truth,
I won't be safe.
Bring your attention to your throat now,
Move your right hand to your throat.
Maybe keeping the left hand on the heart,
Place it gently there,
And feel the breath of this part of the lion,
Who's afraid to speak.
Feel it gently rise and fall.
As you feel this breath,
Allow the light to come into the top of your head,
Down the back of your throat,
In front of your throat,
And say outwardly,
My voice matters.
My voice matters.
My voice matters.
I have the right to take up space.
I have the right to be seen.
It is powerful,
To be honest.
And with that,
The lion begins to stand tall,
Not roaring with aggression,
But with quiet,
Anchored bravery.
And he puts his arms up,
And he says again,
My voice matters.
I have the right to take up space.
It is safe to be seen.
It is powerful,
To be honest.
Allow this to permeate down your throat chakra,
Into your heart,
Coming in through your brain,
Touching all of these beautiful,
Beautiful parts.
And at the center of you,
And of it all,
Is Dorothy.
And for so long,
You believed you had to search outside of yourself.
That there was a great wizard,
Or a future event,
Or a perfect version of yourself,
Who would finally give you what you needed.
But pause now.
Hand on your heart,
Right hand on your heart,
Left hand on your belly,
And take some deep breaths,
Into knowing that you have been home all along.
You have always had the power.
The yellow brick road wasn't leading you to someone else.
It was leading you back to you.
Say to yourself,
I am the wisdom.
I am the courage.
And as we click the metaphoric ruby shoes together,
We can repeat this.
There's no place like home.
Say to yourself again,
I am the wisdom.
I am the heart.
I am the courage.
Take a deep breath in.
And let that go.
Let all of these parts walk beside you.
Not as the beliefs,
Or the traumas,
Or the wounds,
The old thoughts,
But as gifts remembered.
As integrated parts of you,
Of parts of the beautiful mosaic that make you up,
And that you're whole.
They are your strength.
They are your softness.
They are your soul,
The light of your soul.
And as you return to your day,
And we slowly come out of this journey as if waking from that metaphoric dream that Dorothy had.
As you return to your day,
Know this.
The road continues,
But now you walk it as your whole self.
Not searching,
But remembering that we are all just walking our parts home.
Take some deep breaths,
And I invite you in your own time to just come back into awareness.
Gently move your fingers and toes.
And take this with you into your day.
It's your life.
Integrating it at just the right time for your body.
Thank you for practicing with me.
Thank you for taking this beautiful journey back home to yourself.
I'm so honored to be of service,
And I love you.
I love you,
Because I can.
Namaste.

This was so beautiful. When you mentioned the lion tears rolled down my face. I am remembering I’ve had this courage with me the whole time. 🌈🌈
