Hello,
And good morning.
I wanted to offer you a brief gratitude morning practice,
Similar to what I do in the morning.
Sometimes I extend it a little further,
But we'll do a brief one for today.
So we're not going to do a long,
We'll do a brief grounding.
So I invite you to just settle in to your meditation space or a space where you feel comfortable and just take some deep breaths,
Allowing yourself to feel grounded,
To feel your grounding cord secure around your hips,
And to feel that deep sense of rootedness,
Your roots extending through the floorboards,
Through all the layers of the earth,
Holding you here,
Grounding you in your morning gratitude,
In the sense of love and safety within yourself,
Within your own body.
And now lean back into the beautiful waterfall of grace,
Receiving this beautiful golden light coming in the top of your crown,
Radiating down your central channel and permeating and going straight up this tube of golden light into the cosmos,
And it reaches up and touches almost as if it's 10,
000 suns,
And you can feel this radiant light coming in,
And the light of your beingness.
And I invite you to put your right hand on your heart,
You might want to put both hands,
Or you can put your left hand on your belly,
Whatever feels most resonant to you.
Just make some slow circles,
And what I do in the morning is I'll do this,
I'll come into myself,
I'll ground,
I'll receive this beautiful light,
And I'll think my heartbeat.
I'll begin to think of things that I'm grateful for,
So I invite you to do that,
It could be anything,
The light that you were just able to turn on because you have electricity,
The floor that you feel your feet against,
Your home,
Your animals,
Your beautiful body,
Your temple that effortlessly wakes up and goes about your day,
Anything that comes to mind,
It could be a person,
Your job as much as you sometimes are like,
I don't know if I want to go there,
Having gratitude for your job,
Going in in that way and saying,
I'm so grateful that I have this place to go in order to feed my family,
Just looking at each thing in gratitude,
The things that we sometimes take for granted,
The sun that always shines even on the days we can't see it,
It's there.
And then I invite you to think your higher power,
Whether that be the universe or God or a God,
Or anything that resonates with you,
I invite you to offer gratitude and to bow in gratitude,
That's what I'll do,
I do three bows,
Deep,
Deep gratitude for being alive here today,
For opening my eyes,
For feeling my fingers together in this prayer,
For being able to wiggle my fingers as I do that effortlessly,
And what I do is I say,
I surrender,
Show me the way,
Whether it be the universe or God or a higher power,
Show me my next step,
I'll let you in on a little secret,
And I'm dating myself here,
But I envision this step,
If anyone remembers Billie Jean video by Michael Jackson,
He had this thing where he was like walking on this walkway,
And then the steps would like light up before him,
So I envision the steps being like that,
And I'm like,
Show me my next step,
And then the path illuminates,
So you know,
Whatever works,
So for me,
I do that,
And then I invite my spirit guides,
My angels,
My ancestors,
My allies,
Even spirit animals,
And ascended masters in the space of gratitude and of groundedness and of holding,
I invite them in to be with me and to also help to guide me on my next step on this path of helping others,
Of coming home to myself,
To show me the next right step,
So I invite you to do that in your own way,
You can invite any of the ones I said,
Spirit guides,
Your angels,
Whatever resonates,
If something doesn't,
You can just let it fall away,
And just tune in to that,
With your hand on your heart again,
Take some deep breaths and tune in to this guidance,
Show me my next step,
Allow the path to illuminate,
Deep breaths,
And in this situation,
You might hear something,
Which would be like a knowing,
Clear cognizance,
You might even get a visualization,
Clear voyance,
You might hear something,
Clear audience,
Might even feel something in your body,
Clear sentience,
So those are just what those ways of knowing are,
And so I invite you to sit as long as you want in that practice,
And then when you get those messages,
It might even just be silence,
Maybe it's an invitation to be still,
To not do as much,
And then sometimes after this,
I will journal,
And then I just end in gratitude again,
I bring my hands to prayer at my heart,
And this is where I will send gratitude to others,
And also sometimes I know that someone is,
You know,
A friend might be in the hospital,
Or someone might be hurting emotionally,
I'll just send them light,
I envision sending them light,
So you can sit in this moment of gratitude,
Moment of sending your intentions,
Setting your own intentions,
And sending love and light out into the world,
And this is my daily morning practice after my meditation,
Morning meditation,
So I wanted to share this with you,
I hope that it serves you,
And I hope that,
I pray that we each go in the love and the light of who we are,
And who we're meant to be on the earth,
