Hello and welcome.
I want to welcome you here to this beautiful meditation.
And my intention for this is to have you know that you are loved and know that sometimes we think we have to look outside of ourselves,
Or a safe place,
Or a feeling of refuge,
But I want you to know that that place is within you.
And I just read a book by Gary Zukav.
It's called The Seat of the Soul.
And we'll step into what that means and what it means to have your soul take a deep seat inside of you.
So for now,
I will ask you to think about what is your safe place.
And it could be when you were a child.
So it could be a physical place.
It could be a person.
It could be reading.
It could be listening to music.
What was your place of refuge that you would use to,
I'll say,
Come back home to yourself?
And again,
This could be a person.
This could be someone's house.
So yeah,
Just take a few moments just to tune into that,
To feel into that.
And I invite you to even put your hands on your heart.
Take a few slow,
Deep breaths.
And as you're thinking of this,
I'll share what some of my safe places were as a child.
So for me,
It would have been my bedroom,
My little place of refuge.
And I would just go in and kind of go in on my bed and lay down and just kind of be with myself,
My own thoughts.
And then it would also be music.
And it would also be my grandmother's house.
And I would say anywhere that my grandmother would go.
So wherever I would be with her.
So just feel into that and see if any of that resonates with you.
And now,
As I've grown,
I would say doing things that I love,
Like playing sports or playing pickleball.
That's a beautiful time of flow.
Also,
Anywhere near the water,
Going near the ocean,
Whether it be sitting with my feet in the sand.
Or sometimes I'll just go for my lunch hour and sit at one of my favorite beaches and just look at the waves and look at the sparkling diamonds on the water that the sun glimmers off.
So feel into that also now as you've grown up.
And maybe it's similar to when you were younger.
Maybe it's journaling.
Maybe it's riding your bike.
Maybe it's walking in nature.
So yeah,
Just tune into that.
And I know in the beginning,
I spoke of it being inside of you.
But what we can do is gather some of these snapshots and the feelings that we get with being in these safe places and bring them into our meditation with us.
So I'll give you another moment just to think of that.
And then we'll start our meditation.
So as you're thinking,
Just I invite you to settle in,
Just to take a deep seat.
And I call it doing a trust fall into the universe.
So whether it be your chair or your cushion or sitting on the floor or a mat or laying down if you're unable to sit,
Just allow yourself to really take a deep seat and settle in.
Just take a deep breath,
A few cleansing breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.
So do a few rounds of those together.
Deep breath in,
Cleansing breath,
And sigh out,
Another deep breath in.
And as we're taking a deep seat,
I invite you to feel your grounding cord secure around your hips,
Maybe even a little bit higher just to support your midsection.
We can just take so much in in that area,
In our stomach area,
Solar plexus region.
So yeah,
Just feel your grounding cord secure around your hips,
Going down your central channel and the roots descend through your legs,
Through the floorboards of your home,
Through the foundation and the topsoil,
Deep,
Deep,
Deep into the layers of the earth.
And as they sprout further,
They go deep and wide through all the mud and the sediment and the rock and the crystalline grid and all the layers deep into the core of the planet through lava.
And as they descend your roots,
We can feel our heartbeat syncopating to the heartbeat of the earth,
Which is slow.
So just allow yourself to just really settle in here and allow your heartbeat to slow as you take some slow,
Deep breaths.
And your roots go around the core of the planet,
Anchoring you here in safety,
Trust,
And security.
And just breathe that fresh,
Clean,
Clear earth mother energy,
Prana,
Life force energy up your grounding cord.
Deep breath in of that fresh energy and a let-go breath down.
And our grounding cord also serves as a depository so we can let go of anything not serving us.
And just bring that energy up,
Lighting up the rainbow within your body,
Your chakra system,
Within your central channel.
And allow yourself to just lean back into the waterfall of grace as you're receiving the earth mother energy.
And the waterfall comes in through the crown of your head at just the right amount,
Cleansing your third eye,
Coming down into your throat chakra,
Purifying,
Cleansing anything we might be holding.
And then just allow your shoulders to effortlessly just kind of loosen and settle in.
Just pulling your shoulders back a little,
Receiving the waterfall of grace.
And as it comes down your back body,
We can feel the hand of the divine or source or whatever you may resonate with,
The universe.
Feel that coming down your back body.
And it's at the back of your heart,
Back of your solar plexus,
Back of your sacrum.
And it comes down into your root chakra and sit bones.
And the hand of the divine is now the seat that you're sitting in.
And this is the seat of your soul holding you here that we know we're not alone.
And I invite you to now think of your safe place.
And what would it represent to come home to yourself within your body?
Just feel into that as you think of the safe place that you thought of.
It could be when you were a kid,
Or now going by the beach,
Or reading,
Listening to soothing music,
Walking in nature.
Bring that into your mind's eye,
Into your heart as you receive the divine waterfall of grace.
And for me,
It would be walking into my grandmother's house.
So I invite you,
If you're thinking of where your safe place may be,
I invite you to walk into my grandmother's house with me.
And what it represented was a place that I could be myself.
A place that I could feel held.
A place that I felt safe.
I could be vulnerable.
I could talk about anything.
I could cry.
I could laugh.
I could sing.
I could draw.
Or I could just simply be.
So whatever your safe place is,
Or maybe you're sitting around my grandmother's kitchen table with me,
I invite you to do so.
Go to your safe place.
And there were times where I would be scared,
And I would sometimes get up in the middle of the night,
And I'd be afraid.
And I'd say,
I can't sleep,
And I don't feel well.
And she would make me laugh.
She would make me a warm cup of tea.
And I'll tell you the truth here,
I never really liked the taste of the tea,
Because it was plain.
She didn't put anything in it.
But I loved the taste of the tea at the same time,
If that makes sense.
Because it represented her love that she poured into it.
And the sacred time that I was with her.
If your safe place is a person,
Real,
Imaginary,
Maybe a part of you,
Maybe someone that's past,
Conjure them up.
Bring them up into your mind's eye.
And they can be sitting at the kitchen table with my grandmother and I,
Drinking this warm cup of tea,
Or anywhere else you may be envisioning it.
And while these things are external,
We have the ability to come home to ourself.
And to be with our parts.
And to conjure up those feelings within ourselves.
So I invite you to take some deep breaths into coming home and feeling into the light of your soul that sits with the hand of the divine at its back.
And maybe you picture that in your heart.
Maybe you picture it further down in your body,
Wherever you feel it,
Wherever it comes up.
And take some deep breaths into the light of your soul.
Deep breath in.
And on the in-breath,
We'll say,
Come,
In our head,
Come,
Out-breath,
Home.
And just keep repeating that mantra,
Come on the in-breath,
Home on the out-breath.
And maybe the light of your soul feels expansive.
Allow yourself to feel it.
Allow yourself to feel held by the earth mother below,
And receiving the waterfall of grace into the light of your soul.
Sitting with the hand of the divine in the seat of the soul.
Deep breath in,
Come.
That connecting with the light of your soul.
Just keep repeating the mantra,
Connecting with your soul.
And I invite you to just keep repeating this,
And remember that you can come home to yourself,
To the seat of your soul that's inside of yourself anytime.
Maybe you can listen back to this meditation.
And I now invite you to seal this meditation with Aum,
Which is the sound of the universe bringing us back to ourself.
Deep breath in,
And we're going to chant Aum together.
I thank you for joining me here.
And may you come home to yourself,
And know that you are your own best friend.
And that I love you.
Namaste.

Beautiful Tracy! Thank you for this gift bringing me home to myself. It calls up grassy fields, blue skies with my pony. The first place I felt held and part of something much bigger than myself. 🙏🏻❤️
