Hello and welcome My name is Tracy McCree.
I welcome you here and this meditation Was inspired as I was standing at my kitchen sink literally Washing the dishes and I was thinking of my partner Who we currently live Separately just because of life situations and career and She has a seven-year-old So she's Biologically her daughter,
But she's my daughter in my heart and our daughter so,
Of course,
We know having a seven-year-old is joyful and full of life and love and All of those beautiful flow type of things however,
It's also full of Taekwondo practice and school and early wake-ups and drop-off and pick up and Lessons and sports and dance class and whatever it may be So as I was standing at my kitchen sink I was thinking back to when I Would drive my daughter who's now 22 my own Daughter who lives with me and Whether it be swim practice or soccer drums or whatever it may be It's beautiful to bring them to all of these different things But oftentimes we get lost I'm gonna say in the shuffle of that or in the go go go the autopilot and we just go and Depending on our upbringing depending on What our roles were or the aspects of our own self that Helped us to journey to where we are right now in this space and time We might have been you know the over parentified child or the helper or The one that tries to do everything right so that there's peace and harmony in the home Or you know the caretaker whatever Roles,
We might have taken on as we get a little bit older in our development Can sometimes come back in into our adult life?
So As I was standing at my kitchen sink,
I thought I want to offer a meditation to the parents of the world or the caretakers Are the ones that in their adult life?
Have found themselves in a caretaker role in any aspect And sometimes that brings us back to our childhood our Unhealed parts That sometimes are in the subconscious or the basement or in our energy system in our root chakra of our of our body which is developmentally about zero to seven years old so The stuff that's like you don't even realize it.
It's kind of like things that we stick in the basement and we forget about they tend to resurface during These periods in our life and our children can often bring that back into ourself.
So Today I'm gonna do a Meditation for all the caretakers the moms the dads The caretakers of the world could even be older sibling whoever This might resonate with you regardless of if you're a parent or not So I just I invite you to just settle in And we're gonna move into the meditation part of our Healing here.
So we'll just take a deep seat Allow yourself to really settle Take a deep breath in Cleansing breath out even with a sigh Let's just take a few of those and If you haven't done so already,
You can gently close your eyes.
I invite you to And get yourself as comfortable as possible And do a trust fall into your seat or onto your cushion Another deep breath with a audible sigh out deep breath in And As we settle in I Invite you and all of your parts to just settle here and To know that this is your time And I know as parents or caretakers or the one that Kind of runs around and takes care of everyone even if it's a sibling Let's just take a take a deep breath into that into coming home to ourselves This is our body Put your hands on your heart Take a deep breath into coming home And on the in-breath We'll breathe in come on the out-breath home And just do that a few times come Out-breath home As we feel ourselves settle We feel so grounded here We feel our grounding cord secure around our hips And it's a tree trunk like image that Goes right down our central channel Our back body securing us here in our body Going down our legs and the roots descend through the floorboards of our home through the foundation Through the dirt and the bedrock and sediment deep into the layers of the earth And as they descend far and wide we can feel our body start to slow and Syncopate with the the heartbeat of the earth mother Which is really slow Deep breath in on the in-breath come The out-breath home And As our roots descend They come to the outstretched arms of the earth mother who holds us here and love And safety and security And we feel that earth mother energy come up on the in-breath come on the out-breath home And as we bring that prana fresh clean clear earth mother energy up We can let go of anything not serving us here Especially in our root chakra anything that Even could be subconscious that just isn't serving us anymore that we've Put into the basement of our being Take a deep breath in At home let go of anything not serving you Bringing you back into your body back into your root chakra And you can even say out loud.
This is my body This is my root chakra I'm coming home to me And I know that I'm safe here And it's okay to come home and take care of myself and to cleanse And purify anyone's energy And I know for all the caretakers out there Keep your hands on your heart and just know that you are so held by the earth mother below and lean back Just slightly lean your head back and allow a beautiful waterfall of grace to come into the back Of your head so coming in right at the top of the crown Coming down into your third eye between your eyebrows Cleansing purifying anything and any chores or text messages or emails or teachers conferences,
Let's use a symbolic cloth soapy cloth and Just cleanse that area just picture windows going all the way around your third eye and just Cleanse that take that space back Deep breath in come Out breath home Just use that soapy water go all the way around If your head had windows all the way around bringing in Pure divine waterfall of grace Down into your throat chakra Where we speak the divine Divine speaking and listening at the back cleansing your ears purifying allowing the waterfall of grace and just gently bring your arms down rest Pull the shoulders back slightly and allow the waterfall of grace to cleanse your heart Have any worry as caretakers we have a lot of worry and Times a little sadness because We often are we sacrifice ourselves Allow it to cleanse any grief or sadness Or the need to sacrifice we can come back to ourselves deep breath in come Hope and on your heart again,
Maybe even give yourself a hug It's okay to start with you and come back home to you Down into your solar plexus,
Which is your divine will Which again is sometimes put to the side when we get into a caretaker or parental role But remember that's just a role And we can come back to ourselves at any time we can use this meditation deep breath in come Out breath home And You can put your hand on your belly Right hand on your heart left hand on your solar plexus your stomach Come home deep breath again.
Come Out breath home Down to our sacrum pelvic bowl area Bright orange power center of creation And Our creativity and flow And it's like water like going with the flow And sometimes as a parent we can't go with the flow,
But in our bodies we can come back home to this What's something today that you'd like to come back home and your own creativity?
Maybe used to draw or paint or some creative expression of dance or play Deep breath into that deep breath in come Breath home Down into your root chakra ruby red Its color and Coming back to ourselves who are home to our being Back where we started And Maybe there's something that is in your subconscious.
You're not even sure of let's take a deep breath into coming home To our root chakra and letting go of anything not serving us And we'll switch it to let on the in breath and go on the out breath Just to let go of anything that's in our Basement of our bodies so to speak deep breath in let Your breath go Take a few rounds of that Let And on the last one we'll do come home and that will be coming home to ourselves to our body To our central channel to our holding and love The earth mother below and the divine or the universe whatever we connect to above Deep breath in on the in breath come Go breath home.
I Hope this served you and I'm sending you so much love feel free to use this at the end of your day as a Maybe middle of your day second meditation of the day to come back home to yourself And to wash the dishes metaphorically Sending you so much love and light and I love you because I can namaste
