This is a forgiveness meditation addressed to your own being that is inspired by the Hawaiian prayer Ho'oponopono. You will need to sit or stand by a mirror. This track is especially for sensitive people with high demands on their selves. To spend some time to really look into your own being, beyond judgmental thoughts, can create a sense of acceptance, empathy and love towards yourself AND others.

This is a forgiveness meditation addressed to your own being.

It's inspired by the Hawaiian prayer Ho'oponopono.

For this meditation,

You'll need a mirror,

Either hanging on the wall or leaning against the wall.

The aim of this meditation is to reprogram your negative thought patterns regarding yourself.

Taking some time off to really look straight into your being beyond your judgmental thoughts can create a sense of acceptance and empathy towards yourself and others.

Please let the word stream into your consciousness without analyzing or judging them during this meditation.

Just simply let the process work through you and be open for any sensations that might appear.

Be sure to make space for yourself during this time without any interruptions from the outside world.

Start by finding your seat,

Either standing up or sitting down,

And place yourself as close to the mirror as possible.

Just settling in for a moment to find a comfortable position,

And just close your eyes.

Feel your shoulders relax,

Dropping down towards your hips,

Softening your belly.

Let yourself drop in to your physical body.

Now,

Bringing your attention towards your nostrils,

Feeling the sensation of the cooler air entering your nose,

Sensing the warmer air in your exhale.

Bring your entire focus to that area,

Experiencing the flow of your inhale and your exhale.

And just stay there for a little while.

Slowly start opening your eyes and take in the reflection of yourself.

Just experiencing the reflection without judgment.

Like an innocent small child observing without categorizing,

Letting your focus land on one of your eyes,

Picking the eye that catches your attention first.

No effort involved,

Just letting your gaze land on the eye that feels most comfortable.

And rest there for a while.

And repeat after me,

I am sorry.

I'm sorry for judging you so hard,

For not letting you be who you truly are.

I'm sorry for trying to fix you,

To change you,

To remake you.

I'm sorry for all the times I've told you you're ugly,

That you're faulty,

That you're not enough,

That you need to change and not be who you really are.

Please forgive me.

Please forgive me for being mean to you.

Forgive me for denying you.

Please forgive me for not trusting you,

Not listening to you,

And for not taking care of your true needs.

Please forgive me for not letting you be.

Thank you.

Thank you for always being by my side.

Thank you for your patience,

Your devotion,

Your presence,

And for your true being.

Thank you for being the one you are.

I love you.

I love you from every aspect of my being.

I love you because you are the way you are.

I love you endlessly,

Beyond time and space.

I love you unconditionally.

You,

My dear one,

Are the purest form of love that exists.

You are me.

I am you.

We are forever united in truth,

Compassion,

And love.

Take a deep breath and exhale through your mouth.

Continue gazing into both of your eyes.

Slowly place your right hand on your heart and your left hand towards your belly.

Just holding your own space,

Holding and being with yourself,

Breathing with yourself,

Feeling yourself,

Seeing yourself,

Accepting yourself,

Feeling yourself,

Loving yourself.

And you slowly close your eyes,

Dropping into the feeling body,

Into the core of your being.

And when you feel ready,

Slowly open your eyes again.

Bringing a smile towards your lips,

Getting on with your day filled with self-compassion,

Self-acceptance,

And self-love.

My therapist recently introduced me to the Ho’oponopono prayer so of course I looked for it on here and this was the first one I decided to try. I’m so glad I did. I loved it. I chose to do it in a dimly room with my salt lamp and candles and a fan on and I was able to deeply connect with my self. Thank you so much. I’m very grateful. ❣️
