A powerful practice for pausing here and now with your present experience. For resting as you are, resting as being. Deepening into a felt sense of your essential nature. This practice is my version of teachings heard through Adyashanti that have been incredibly profound. A deep bow to Adyashanti and the teachings he shares.

Beginning by pausing.

Simply stopping where you are,

What you're doing,

And pausing.

Not doing anything.

Not meditating.

Not focusing your attention on anything in particular.

Not having to get anywhere.

Simply experiencing this moment as it is,

In its immediacy,

In its intimacy.

Simply being.

Thoughts arise,

They arise.

If they don't,

They don't.

Not having to have a different experience.

Being with the experience you're having fully.

Receiving the aliveness that's here in your open presence.

Your experience being whatever it is.

The natural unfolding and flow of life.

Breathing is happening.

Sounds are happening.

Sensations all naturally arising.

Arising in you.

Arising in awareness.

There's nothing you need to do to make them happen.

It's the natural movement of life.

Life already happening.

Noticing how your experience,

Whatever it is,

Is already happening in the ocean of awareness.

You don't need to try to be aware.

You're already aware.

Already present.

Here.

There's nothing you has to do.

You don't even need to allow or accept the experience.

It's already allowed.

Already accepted.

It's here.

Arising,

Moving,

And playing in the vastness of you.

Perhaps sensing how there's no delineation,

No separation between experience and awareness.

Awareness is a part of every experience and remains after experience is gone.

You remain resting here.

Gently bringing attention to how you feel.

Feeling your body where it meets the supporting surface.

Sensations of contact,

Of connection.

Noticing how you're held and supported here.

Letting yourself slowly return to a connection with your environment through your sense of touch.

Your sense of hearing.

Noticing the play of sound.

Perhaps still open to a sense of the vastness of you.

When you're ready,

Slowly opening your eyes.

Taking a few moments or minutes to continue to ground into your environment before moving on with your day.

Thank you Tim! This brought me straight into presence and connection with myself while my two babies slept. Just what a new mum needs!
