We are going to take a few moments to be thankful today.

A few moments to remember all that we have to appreciate about life.

Let's start by thanking ourselves for being here,

For giving ourselves permission to take a short break in our day.

There is so much in the world to be thankful for.

Yet so often,

All the small miracles are overlooked as we move through our lives,

Busy and distracted.

That is why it is important to sit in stillness from time to time,

To take a deep breath in,

Feel your lungs fill up,

And then slowly release the breath.

Very good.

One more time,

Deep breath in,

All the way down to the stomach,

And then slowly release the breath.

Very nice.

Continue to breathe in this way as you approach stillness.

And as you feel calmer and the world slows around you,

Take a moment to think about how amazing life is,

How amazing our world is.

Every single thing in the world has a place,

A role,

A job to do.

When each living thing is able to complete its role,

It supports every other living thing.

The trees breathe in while we exhale.

Plants absorb what the sun emits.

The earth drinks what the clouds release.

The dance of nature,

Giving and taking,

Pushing and pulling,

Ebbing and flowing,

Working together to support the whole.

Take a moment to appreciate the wonder of the world around us and consider how you fit into this dance.

We can be part of the system by choosing to give and take in a harmonious way that does not upset the balance by acknowledging that a perfectly functioning system is already present and needs no correction from us.

That's right.

What would that look like to be fulfilling our part in the dance of life on earth?

To be a part of it instead of trying to lead it.

Our bodies work this way as well.

Each system has a role and a function that supports the whole,

Giving and taking.

When we are healthy,

These systems are working together,

Balanced.

Take a moment to sit in awe of your body,

The way it works and functions to support you.

Doing so many things each moment that escape our notice.

That's right.

You can choose to help your body by making choices that support the balance and harmony that is naturally there by allowing each part of the body to fulfill its role without adding in anything or taking out anything that will throw it off.

What would this look like?

What would it feel like?

Start by taking a few moments to sit in gratitude and appreciation of how amazing and magical life is.

How perfect it is all on its own.

Spend a few moments in this space and when you are ready,

You can simply open your eyes.
