In the Autumn, trees naturally shed kin's leaves, first pulling in vital nutrients, then releasing what no longer serves to be used during the wintr. This meditation serves to collect nutrients and experiences that can be useful to you as you reflect and plan in the winter months, then release blocks, limiting beliefs, and anything that no longer serve. With the nourishment safely within, you can let the dead weight fall away to be recycled by the earth.

Autumn is a wonderful season to release all those little bits and bobs that are not necessary for you in the coming seasons.

Throughout the rest of the year,

You've collected so much nourishment.

But not all of that nourishment will serve you as we head into winter.

So use this meditation to collect any nutrients that will be useful to you in the winter months,

Then let the dead weight fall away to be recycled.

Sit in a comfortable,

Quiet place.

Take a few deep breaths and center yourself in your body.

Repeat this breathing process until you feel yourself in your body.

Start down at your feet,

Checking in,

Centering yourself,

Preparing yourself for the nourishment you're going to be taking in.

Deep breath in.

With each breath,

You sink deeper into yourself until your body feels calm and centered.

Feel branches extend out from your body.

These branches hold the last of your summer leaves.

Open them out.

Allow them to take their full space.

You can move your arms if this helps,

Or you can do it all from your mind's eye.

Construct the branches and on the ends,

Fill them with all the leaves that are clogging up your system.

Beliefs that hold any limiting beliefs,

Anything that in this moment no longer serves you and as you head into winter will not nourish your body.

It is no longer necessary.

These are pieces that you have outgrown,

Knowledge that you've evolved,

Beliefs that no longer serve.

Feel their weight.

They're not really bringing in any new nourishment.

They're just there,

Stuck.

Explore these and push them out into the leaves.

Draw from the center of your body.

Pull in from your deep roots and anything that is no longer of service gets pushed out to these leaves.

As you do this,

Explore the leaves at the end and consciously pull in any nourishment and any nutrients that these leaves hold that could still be useful to you.

Exchange out what no longer serves and pull in what could be useful.

Draw in all the talents,

Knowledge,

Experiences that are in the leaves and pull these down into your core to be integrated into your being in the coming season.

Don't worry in this moment about how they will be integrated or where they will be integrated.

That will come in the winter months of reflection.

For now,

We are just pulling in whatever could be useful to you and letting go of everything that you know no longer serves.

Take a nice deep breath in and feel all this nourishment settle itself into your body.

Your body naturally has repositories to keep this knowledge and it will hold there until the appropriate moment for it to be used.

Now with a strong determined breath out,

Make the conscious choice to let go of all those old leaves feeling confident that they will decompose and nourish your root system in a different way.

When you're ready,

A deep breath in and a determined breath out and feel as each one of these leaves breaks free from your branches and falls down to the ground.

Liberated they float across the space and cover your root systems below.

Now sit there and allow your breath to stabilize all the nutrients you pulled in from your leaves right before they dropped.

Find a resting place within you and let them move freely to where they can best serve you to be absorbed by your body.

When you feel like you've absorbed them,

Pull your branches back into your central core.

Feel your branches collapse back into your body nice and slow.

You have all the time you need.

When they've been safely recalled,

Sit there for a few breaths.

Feel the leaves float about your feet as the wind moves them,

As they start their decomposition process and feel within you as the nourishment continues to move,

Finding its proper little cubbyhole space where it will hold out throughout the rest of the autumn to be processed,

Analyzed and used in the winter.

When you're ready,

With a nice deep breath,

Come back fully into the room with the knowledge and nourishment within you.

Find your center again and when you're ready,

Open your eyes and journal your experiences.

Remember to capture everything,

Even if it feels insignificant now.

Your goal is not to analyze what you have received today,

But to hold on to it,

To allow it to nourish you,

To be analyzed during the winter.

You never know when and how it will become useful.

So capture now,

Reflect and analyze later.
