What blows my mind about this is how much forgiveness there is.
Which,
You know,
Forgiveness,
One of these,
Call it spiritual words,
But it's also a deeply human word related to what we deeply crave.
Whether we crave to be forgiven from another,
Or crave to forgive ourselves,
Or wish we could forgive somebody else because we don't want to carry the burden anymore.
And we could also say a forgiveness is a great letting go.
Do you see what is being let go of is the illusion?
That's kind of what forgiveness is,
Which in many ways is to say that real forgiveness is to see that there's nothing to forgive.
That might be a whole other exploration,
And I understand how confusing that might be,
But it points to,
At least to me,
Is something that's incredibly profound.
And the way that the world uses forgiveness is simply a covert way of blaming.
I forgive you because I blame you.
Which might have its own utility in the illusion of things.
But I would say the deeper spiritual forgiveness,
Let's look at it in the context of God,
Using that story of God.
God forgives you because there's nothing to forgive.
It was all an innocent misunderstanding.
But forgiveness as a covert use of blame speaks a lot to how we as human beings sort of pervert spirituality.
Which is kind of how we pervert love,
Where we say,
I will love you if.
Which is to also say,
I will forgive you if.
Which a love that says,
I will love you if,
Is a love that says,
I don't love you right now.
Which isn't love.
It's weaponizing love.
It's a complete inversion of love.
And it's also,
Using silly words,
The great tools of the ego.
To invert the truth of things in service to protecting itself.
Which is why we say in some way or another,
I will love you if you help me protect my ego.
I will forgive you if you help me protect my ego.
Which is kind of like saying,
I will pretend to love you if you help me protect my ego.
I will pretend to forgive you.
There's so much pretending.
And again,
It's not wrong.
It's adorable.
It's unnecessary.
But it's allowed.
Do you see how all of these things,
I mean,
My goodness,
Whether it's blame,
Whether it's withholding forgiveness,
These are all some flavor of judgment.
This is all some attempt to reinforce a concept of separation.
And my goodness,
That's a whole nother talk on its own.
But let me just fast forward to the conclusion.
And maybe you'll see the pointer,
Maybe you understand,
Maybe you don't.
It's all one.
Everything,
All that is,
It's all one.
Which is to also say,
It's all God.
It's one.
But we separate it.
We turn it into many different pieces.
And we do that because we want to believe in the peace of ourselves,
Which is separate from it all.
We don't want God to be God.
We want to be God.
Which is where you get the story of the devil.
That which is in opposition to God and creates hell in the process.
That's what we do as human beings.
That's what the ego is.
It's in opposition to the truth of things,
To the way of life,
In service to itself.
And it creates hell in the process.
If it's all one,
Judgment is impossible.
Do you see that?
And again,
It's somewhat cryptic and I understand that,
But I have to use words to illustrate something that's beyond words.
It's like this.
Look around wherever you are right now.
If you're in a room like I'm in,
It appears that there's all these separate little things.
And I give those separate things names and the names separate them.
But what are they really?
They're all different forms of the same thing.
As an illustration,
It's like you zoom in on it and it's all made up of the same thing.
It's just taking a different shape,
Which is kind of like saying you zoom in on everything and you see that it's all just God.
Whatever you're looking at,
It's God.
It's all the same thing.
And then you look at what you are and you're the same thing as everything else.
You're just telling a different story.
And you believe you're that story rather than seeing what you really are,
Which is the same thing.
And it's your story that's in opposition to life.
That's in opposition to the real thing.
And it's your story that thinks it's living this life that is just existing in the imagination that sees everything as separate when it's not really separate,
Which creates a reality that feels very disconnected from the truth of things,
Which is to live in opposition to God and create hell in the process.
And again,
I'm painting a picture here.
Right?
So it's not like I'm speaking words that are fundamentally and absolutely true.
I'm just telling a story about what's true.
And such stories have been told in a thousand different ways,
But it's all attempting to say the same thing,
Which is only God is real,
Which is its own version of a story.
Do you see this?
I'm talking about what exists beyond the mind by using the instrument of the mind.
So you have to be careful.
Don't believe what I'm saying.
Or you turn what I'm saying into its own form of a religion and think that my stories are the right stories as opposed to other people's stories.
It's all play.
It's all poetry.
Do you see this?
When you look at other human beings,
And this really speaks to the nature of real connection,
Real intimacy,
The closer you get to another human being,
You start to recognize in some capacity that you're the same.
Do you see this closeness,
This connection?
That's what that is.
You're recognizing,
Let's call it a shared humanity,
Which is to see more closely that you're the same.
Where it's seen in some way that their pain is your pain,
Their joy is your joy,
Which is to see you both want the same thing and you're both afraid of the same thing.
Do you see it's getting closer to a recognition that it's all one?
And in doing so,
You start to experience more of what you crave.
Which is wholeness,
Which is connection,
Which is intimacy.
Therefore,
If these things are not being experienced,
You are imagining a separation that's not really there,
Which in some way is to say that you are fighting on behalf of your ego and experiencing hell.
Is that clear?
Or does it all just sound like nonsense?
It's fine,
Either way.
