Beneath our search for purpose and meaning lies a deeper longing—to feel whole, worthy, and complete. In this insightful exploration, Tiger reveals how much of our striving is driven by the illusion of lack, shaped by our perceived identity. But what if nothing is actually missing? What if the wholeness we seek has been here all along? This reflection invites us to see beyond the mind’s conditioning and rediscover the freedom of simply being.

The thing in us that is on this great search for something real,

It's attempting to resolve an emotional pain.

The pain isn't in response to developing a particular skill set or building a company.

The pain is in response to one's perceived worth and value,

Which is an issue of identity.

And so,

So many of the stories and narratives that we're telling about why we're doing what we're doing or what we're chasing,

If there's any element of emotional pain in that,

Then what it really comes down to is I'm trying to find the reality of what I am,

Which is also to say the wholeness of what I am.

And it's so obvious when you really dig into the pain where it's seen to be some feeling of incompleteness,

Like I'm not yet whole or I'm not complete,

Not lovable,

I'm not there yet,

Something's wrong with me,

I'm broken,

Yada,

Yada,

Yada.

And we're trying to resolve that pain.

And we could even say that the whole quest for purpose and meaning is somehow trying to remedy that pain.

Because what is it to say that I'm lacking purpose and meaning?

It's to say something's missing.

And it's to say something's missing about who I'm thought to be.

And so,

Not that this is only true,

But it could be said that it's not actually about purpose and meaning at all.

That's just what the mind says because that's been the conditioning,

Right?

That's in the ethos,

That's what we talk about as human beings.

And from a human perspective,

That's fine,

It can be a great pointer.

But as it relates to what's truly going on,

Those words are just pointers.

Maybe the conclusion here is that whatever adventure you think you're on in the world,

Whether that's,

I don't know,

Building a company,

Raising children,

Being a partner,

Going to school or going to work,

This is all incredibly secondary compared to what it is you're actually looking for.

And what it is that you're actually looking for,

I guess in one way we can only say it's spiritual in context,

Which is such a silly word to use to imply that it's something other than what's just real and true.

We call it spiritual.

But it's spiritual in nature where you're actually looking to connect with the sacred foundation of what you actually are beyond all of the mind's commentary.

And again,

For one that can't discern the difference between their mind's content and reality,

That sounds like nonsense.

But if you look at our human lives and see how much time and energy is spent in the mind obsessing about absurdities,

Things that can be proven to be nonsensical,

Impossible,

Never could be true,

Don't matter,

And how much little time we actually feel present,

Grounded,

Loving,

Playful,

It's extraordinary.

Which is simply to say how much we are lost in an illusion of being human.

And it's not a right or wrong issue,

It's just the way of things.

And in the way of things,

It presents an epic opportunity which is simply to open the eyes of your heart and see what's actually going on in this life.

Which is to peek behind the curtain and say,

Oh my goodness.

In another way of illustrating this,

You could also see that all of the human angst,

All of the human suffering,

All of the emotional disturbances arise because there's a fear.

And to peek behind the curtain is to see that within this whole landscape of reality,

There actually isn't anything real to fear.

And to know that in your core,

And not just believe it because some guy online said so,

But to see it as a reality,

Completely transforms your human experience.

Not only do you realize there's a lot less to think about because most thinking is fueled by fear,

But the landscape of life and being human transforms into a flavor of a playground where it's not about finding something in the future.

It's not about acquiring something in the next moment that will give you something that's missing.

In fact,

We see that life isn't about getting at all.

Because the idea that it's about getting,

Which has been the conditioning,

Assumes that you're missing.

And again,

To peek behind the curtain,

What you really are isn't missing anything at all.

Which proposes a fantastic question that I say often,

Which is if this life isn't really about getting,

Which has been the conditioning,

What is it really about?

And the natural conclusion is that it's about sharing.

It's about giving.

Especially as you see that you're not missing anything.
