You know,
What are we to do with the resistance if not just see that there's resistance and then to be deeply honest about what the resistance is really about?
I think it's a trap to try to get rid of the resistance because then we're resisting resistance.
Maybe it's perfectly placed but the truth of it is perfectly placed.
Not my bullshit story about it but the truth of it.
Where if I'm in a state of resistance I see very clearly that there's a story being projected that's trying to hide the real issue and so clearly at least what I see is an invitation to get in touch with the real issue.
And you know,
You might even know I'm gonna say this but what is the real issue?
I'm scared.
Okay,
What am I scared about?
And that will unwind itself in its own way given your own direct experience but in some manner it will be some flavor of I'm afraid of the truth.
And so what am I really resisting?
The truth.
Do you think you're gonna win that battle?
And what a beautiful sweet invitation to just surrender.
Surrender whatever is being protected in the resistance because you see that you can't win.
And then have a tremendous amount of compassion for yourself because again it's not you who is lost in the noise.
It's the character.
The awareness of you is unfazed by all that stuff.
You're holding space and watching your human have a human experience.
And you see this right and like this is so obvious to see when you take a moment and look and then your awareness gets sort of hypnotized back into the story.
And that's fine because the truth of what you are is unfazed by it.
It's allowed to happen.
And any judgment that we add to it,
Again it's just another flavor of resisting the resistance.
To resist your resistance is to take resistance personally.
And see how that also is a story.
Whether that's a story of I should or I shouldn't,
Story of it's not spiritual enough,
Story of if only.
These are all just stories.
A lot of what drives this adorable insanity is our hopeful wish around spiritual matters.
It's like having a image of what we think enlightenment will be.
And then we spend our time some sort of spiritual charade chasing our image of enlightenment.
If only this,
If only that.
And it's just not that.
Or even our image of what a more spiritual life is like.
Because in reality the truth of whatever it is,
Is here right now.
It's found in the way things really are.
Which is also to say it's found in the extension of compassion for where you are.
It's found in the complete forgetting.
Which is the allowing of complete forgetting.
You see that?
It's just allowing.
Which is,
You know,
Pointed to as the remedy towards resistance.
To heal resistance,
One must allow resistance.
Because,
Do you think resisting resistance is going to get rid of resistance?
Does that make good sense?
Nope.
