
You Are Perfect - 01 Bloom Your Life
It's all perfect... You are perfect. The Universe is perfect. I am perfect. So often our idea of perfect rests on our expectations and what we think should happen instead of seeing that the Universe is always perfect and can only be perfect.

I've been thinking the last few days a lot.
I would listen to an Alan Watts lecture and this whole idea of this sticking mind So not stinking mind sticking mind this idea where our thoughts Get stuck We get stuck in patterns.
We get stuck in ways of being as a result of these patterns of thought and so if I can if I could crystallize this for you,
It would be this that and Coming from my own example my own experience.
So this is not you know,
I'm not some PhD guy here.
This is just what I've learned and experienced is that at certain points in my life Things have happened Where I've made decisions either about my experience of life or how I need to deal with life and what I mean by that is You know our amygdala That little reptilian part of our brain that is there to protect us is all about speed.
It's not about accuracy It's happy to be wrong every single time because it can't risk That the one time it Takes the day off.
You are actually being chased by a predator that's going to kill you.
So Whenever there's a threat it's about speed not about accuracy And so there's various times in your life as in my life where Things have happened situations have come up either an actual situation or another person or something that's been said and And You have just as I have made a decision From the feelings that came from that about how to live how to respond So any time now any time where that?
Threat is Imminent where we've sensed that this is coming up and it could be closely related It doesn't have to be the exact same thing.
It could just be in the ballpark when that comes up trigger We respond that That same way that we decided When we were a kid So for me,
I've you know I know of situations when I was 5 years old when I was 12 years old when I was 15 or 16 years old I made decisions about how to respond and If I don't know that Here's the thing and I didn't know that for the longest time if I don't know that if you don't know that They're running the show Now this is not good or bad It's not right or wrong.
It's just that's what's happening when you hear people talk about subconscious mind and responding from the shadow self That's what they're referring to.
It's not you know,
Some Secret thing that's going on.
It's that you have developed a way of Responding to certain Situations that come up and whenever you know your spidey sense tingles whenever you get that feeling like oh This is one of those moments Whether you know it or not that pattern of response kicks in and You repeat exactly how you reacted before so where I've seen this in my own life is When I ask the question of where do I get stopped in Creating where do I get stopped in my own success?
And What I've noticed is that there are things there are not things there are moments in my life Where I felt threatened I felt scared.
I felt uncertain and I made a decision and now that plays out every time Something that even rhymes with that essence Happens I kick into that same response.
So if you've heard that term self-sabotage From what I've experienced.
That's what that is.
That is that self-sabotage that is you With your trained response kicking in now Can that be changed?
Yes,
It absolutely can be changed Does it take some effort?
Yes,
It absolutely takes some effort and here's the first part of it The first part of it is noticing You need to actually notice and be aware that this is going on that there is something coming up for you that there Are feelings and thoughts to be in?
Question about That's the thing is it's about questioning what is happening so we can project and throw it out there as if it's That person did this or they did that or I you know My business failed because of all of these extenuating circumstances,
And I'm sure there are plenty of circumstances That when we look at them,
Yeah That we could see how that would be a challenge.
Absolutely.
We could talk about and see how that would be very difficult to overcome Absolutely,
And It is likely that we can also with some inquiry See that there is a way of being a way of being that you have Just as I have had that is responsible for What is going on in other words,
I Think what I really mean by that is that's responsible for the end result Stuff's gonna happen So it's not necessarily responsible for the stuff that's going to happen.
It's our response to the stuff that's going to happen our response being responsible for our lives Being responsible for how we react being responsible for the decisions.
We then make going forward This comes down to us Individually and our thinking and our decision-making and our way of being and so it starts with noticing and Then there's you know,
There's various ways that you can conquer this.
There's there's all sorts of Ancient wisdom practices That have come up where we begin to Understand our thought process,
You know one of the great tools that I've discovered for myself has been the practice of prayer and meditation and Yet that wasn't enough because there was deeper work to do So I know recently I did I did some work with the quantum The art of quantum living which is a group down in Washington State I say down because I'm up in Vancouver in Canada.
I'm on Vancouver Island.
So it's below me It's it's to the south.
And so in Washington State,
There is this work.
I've done recently quantum living the art of quantum living and And that has been extremely extremely helpful in 2004 I did the landmark form that was sort of like the You know,
That was the cover coming off I was sort of like if you think of the wizard in the Wizard of Oz if you've ever seen the movie when you know Toto I think it's Toto that goes in Notices that there's a curtain and there's somebody behind the curtain and then all of a sudden you realize the wizards not the wizard There's some dude behind a curtain The landmark form for me was that uncovering moment of oh There's something else at play here that I was completely unaware of again,
Not good or bad not right or wrong just completely unaware And then,
You know,
I've done work in classes on in my ministerial class at work.
I've done I've done things like spiritual and emotional intelligence the enneagram for example You know the list goes on of the different types of exposures I've had to this type of work to this deeper work and It is work.
It does require Engagement from in your case you and In my case me it requires me to become engaged and have a desire to overcome this way of thinking this way of being and I saw a lot of it for me a lot of it came up in the area of finance and abundance You know this lack consciousness this lack this feeling of I'm not good enough.
I'm not strong enough.
I'm not fast enough I don't have enough money.
I don't you know,
I can't be successful like all of this Negativity self-talk that was in my head needed to be unpacked and understood So that I could leave it in the past now,
It doesn't mean it doesn't come up It doesn't mean that I don't have triggering thoughts.
It doesn't mean that you know Emotions and things kick in they do They absolutely do But what it does mean is that I have a way of processing now.
I know it's Because I've seen it now because the curtain has been pulled back.
I can't unknow what I now know I can't unknow About myself the things I've discovered the things I've looked into the things I've told myself when I was Five years old and 12 years old and 15 years old and even yesterday the things I've told myself I can't unknow that when I unpack it and look at it and I guess the purpose of this Of this message here today is to let you know a couple of things one is It's okay You're absolutely perfect This is exactly where you are is perfect I want you to just really just be with that for a moment understand that everything If you think of you're making a soup if life is making a soup this entire process of the universe Big bang exploding to you know us being on this planet Earth Whizzing around the galaxy doing whatever it is.
We're doing if you think about everything that's gone into That creative narrative and it's unfolding Then we are exactly where?
We should be in the world of it's all perfect See everything that's gone into the soup could only make exactly what's happening today So what's going on in your life today is exactly what?
Is going on in your life today,
It's perfect it's Unfolded perfectly so you need to remove the idea that perfect means it's gone the way you wanted it to That's not that's not the case.
That's a wish.
That's what my desire did it did I you know complete the stuff?
I wanted to did I do what I said I would do That's one conversation life unfolding perfectly is Life unfolding exactly the way the soup was made So everything that's gone into the making of my life is here right now in this moment with me Talking to this camera this microphone delivering my thoughts and feelings So it's the same for you.
It's perfect.
You're absolutely in the perfect place There's no other place you need to be or should be except right here right now That's one two is that Everybody is experiencing this from all of the people.
I've spoken to all of the work.
I've done on this journey the Questions I've asked others the podcasts.
I've done all of this the books.
I've read this is the ongoing human condition So again,
You're absolutely right where you should be in this question You're normal.
You're nothing.
There's nothing broken.
There's nothing to fix It's a perceived Brokenness that's at play and number three is that there is a path out and it takes Some work and that's not the context of this conversation today.
We're not we're not going to you know Solve all of this in in this little time that we have together What this is intended for is to let you know that there are Ways of getting through this there are ways of moving beyond what you're experiencing So as I close this out today and and hopefully there's there's some hope that's come from this That there are things you can look at there are opportunities to To begin that process that healing Beautiful healing process of going within and understanding.
What is it?
That's coming up for me.
What is it?
That's triggering me What is it?
What are those patterns and maybe you'll just join me now and take a few moments here to just be in this space and this energy of knowing that it's all perfect that we're Not broken There's nothing to fix We are each whole and complete exactly the way we are and exactly the way we're not So if you can and you're comfortable just close your eyes with me now and if you're seated If you're laying down whatever that looks like just you know,
You can place your hands in front of you palms Facing up hands open If it's more powerful for you to put a hand or both hands on your heart You can do that.
Whatever works.
There's no wrong way to do this And we'll begin by noticing our breath as it moves in and moves out Being in this space and time together Bringing a gentle smile to your face inviting in the word playful inviting in the word empowered to be playfully empowered in this moment and for me that looks like Laughing at it.
I call right,
Of course,
Of course There's humanity going on within me.
Of course there is and of course everybody has that humanity Going on within them.
Just taking a moment to be with that and acknowledge it We'll honor ourselves with knowing that it begins with the noticing and I'll invite you to see this noticing as a step towards self-love self-care We'll breathe that in together Let it go.

Iistened to this last night and this morning too (this morning I kept rewinding bits and listened intently. Last night was a very difficult time not just for me but for my poor son that had to witness my meltdown, there I was screaming at the kitten that was doing what kittens do but I just couldn't handle it and I screamed my heart out. I miss my mother so much, I fee lonely and I feel guilty for being like this in front of my son. I want to be happy and for a few moments now I feel its not that bad.. π Thank you for posting this. I need to keep reminding myself I have a good life, appreciate it and grab it by my whole body π€β€οΈπ€ hope you have a good Christmas π
