When anxiety is present, the body often holds what the mind can’t settle. This gentle felt sense practice invites you to listen inwardly, noticing subtle sensations without trying to change or analyse them.By bringing soft attention to the body, your nervous system is given space to slow and reorganise. You may leave feeling calmer, more grounded, and supported from the inside.

Hello and welcome to this meditation.

This is a guided felt sense discovery meditation which will allow you to become more connected to the internal rhythms of your body and understand the messages that it is quietly trying to tell you.

Just remember that there is no right or wrong answer this is simply observing with curiosity and allowing whatever needs to come to the surface to arise.

So just begin by finding a comfortable seat or perhaps lying down whatever feels safest for you and just let your hands rest softly and allow your eyes to close or keep a soft gaze and begin by taking a few natural breaths just noticing how the breath is showing up for you today and just honoring that honoring how that breath is showing up not trying to force it just simply honoring it the gentle inhale and exhale like waves rolling up ashore becoming aware of the pause between the inhale and the exhale and the way the breath does this so seamlessly so automatically and so intentionally and now begin to explore the body by bringing your attention inside inside your body as though you are very quietly and kindly visiting yourself bringing attention to whatever comes up naturally whatever sensations arise just noticing them is there anywhere that feels more alive is there anywhere that feels more warm is there anywhere that feels more noticeable today feeling into the body and feeling into what the body is trying to tell you or maybe there is a place that feels tight a place that feels unexplored or quiet is this place moving or still and just know that there is no need to name it there is no need to give it a storyline we are just sensing we are allowing our bodies to show us the landscape to show us what is really happening on a subconscious level parts of our body often store trauma and emotions from a long time ago often without our understanding or knowledge the more we fill in to the senses of our bodies the more we become connected with our emotions you might like to say some affirmations to this area of the body for example i am safe i support you you don't need to hide you might like to bring an image or a color to this area of the body but it is perfectly okay just to stick with words this is a felt sense discovery for you for me for you so it's important you honor what actually helps you and just taking a few more slow breaths really becoming aware of the breath in the body once more and perhaps sending breath awareness to this part of the body just opening up and allowing more prana more energy more oxygen so to speak into these areas allowing them to soften and to melt away any tension when you're ready gently blink open your eyes and don't move for a few more moments you might like to place two hands on your heart space for some moments of integration what did you notice today inside your body and if your felt sense could speak what might it say and just allowing whatever first comes to the surface to be the answer often we try to use our minds to rationalize and work it out but really that gut instinct that intuition that inner knowing voice however you might want to call it knows and in your own time just making your way into a comfortable seated position you can continue with integration for a few moments longer or you can go into your day with a better understanding of your body a better understanding of your felt senses and an understanding of compassion towards yourself thank you for practicing and have a wonderful day
