Sit, breathe and adapt the perception of doubt and pain into hope and healing. As we take our breathes together transform the discomfort of challenging emotions into pleasant emotions. As you use your senses begin to notice how the change of narrative begins to become welcomed into your body. Peace and growth to you . Best, Theresa

Hello and welcome.

My name is Teresa and I'm inviting you to take a pause with me with the focus on today hope and healing.

So find yourself in a comfortable position,

Whatever that means to you.

Perhaps it's sitting on a cushion on the floor,

Maybe a chair or a couch.

And notice where your breath is.

Just focusing on the feeling of the inhale and your exhale.

Are you feeling it mostly in your nose,

Maybe your chest or your stomach?

And not worrying about where you're feeling it,

Just noticing where it is.

Thinking about your posture,

Taking your shoulders,

Bringing them up,

Back and around.

Sitting alert but not stressed.

And just finding your breath.

Noticing how long the inhale is and the length of the exhale.

If it's available for you,

Inviting your inhale to be one second longer than it was.

So if it was three seconds,

Perhaps four,

Four seconds,

Perhaps five.

Noticing what you're seeing around you and inviting a soft gaze in front of you.

If you're comfortable closing those eyes,

Knowing you can open them at any time.

Noticing what you hear,

What you taste,

The touch on your skin,

What you smell.

Knowing that the opposite of hope and healing is doubt and pain.

Knowing doubt and pain is an uncomfortable feeling.

Inviting if it's there to come into the body and welcoming it to leave.

Thinking about what hope and healing looks like,

Imagining what it would look like.

What does it sound like?

What does hope and healing taste like,

Smell like?

What does it feel like?

Inviting you to take ten breaths on your own.

Thinking about the inhale as hope and your exhale,

Healing.

And as you journey through pain to healing and doubt to hope,

What does the process look like when you become healed,

When hope is there?

Can you be in a place of growth and peace?

Breathe in growth,

Breathe out peace.

Knowing by changing the words for your inhales and exhales,

Inviting them can change your perception of where you are.

Before you come back to the room,

Thinking of someone,

Some place,

And or something you're truly grateful for.

Come back to the room,

Lift your gaze,

Open your eyes,

Wiggle your toes,

Wiggle your fingers.

And as you go out throughout your day,

Looking for signs of growth and peace and settling into the idea that yes,

That journey can be accomplished.

Be well.
