Visualization on letting go.

Thank you for being here with me and giving yourself the next 10 minutes to cultivate inner peace.

There is no right or wrong way to meditate.

Just allow yourself to be mindful about the present moment and your breath.

This can be powerfully life-changing.

Keep in mind there's nothing for you to do right now except be here.

The past already happened and the future hasn't happened yet.

If any emotion thoughts or sensations come up I invite you to journal and comment below about your experience if you feel guided.

Even if nothing arises just be aware of what is meant for you today.

Starting this meditation journey by releasing what no longer serves you can begin to make room for the opportunities and experiences that are meant for you.

Sometimes when we try to control the outcome of a situation or continue to hold on to something that we know is not benefiting us because it feels familiar and comfortable we end up delaying our healing and attracting more of what we don't want to ourselves.

You deserve a life of freedom from your suffering and letting go is the first action to becoming more aligned with your true self.

This is a time completely devoted to you.

Begin to find a sacred space free from any distractions and a position that feels comfortable either sitting with your spine straight or lying down.

Allow your eyes to gently close bringing your attention to your breath and body.

Relax all tension beginning with the muscles in your face,

Unclenching your jaw and scanning your body from your shoulders,

Chest,

Arms,

Hands,

Legs,

And feet seeing where you can release any tightness.

Take a nice slow deep breath in and slowly exhale out through the mouth.

Another deep breath in and exhale.

Allow your body to relax deeper with each breath.

Where do you feel the breath the most?

In your belly,

Through your nose,

Wherever it may be,

Concentrate on this area for a moment.

As you breathe in,

Know that you are safe and whatever it is you are holding on to,

Whether it be a toxic person,

A behavior,

A way of thinking,

Or just a situation that has left you with negative feelings,

Give yourself the gift of letting this go.

With your next inhale,

Bring what needs to be released into focus.

And on your exhale,

Silently in your mind,

I let go of what no longer serves me.

Breathing in and out,

I let go of what no longer serves me.

Begin to visualize your hands holding on to a rock.

You go everywhere with this rock without ever putting it down.

Each day it starts to get heavier and heavier,

And all you want to do is let it go.

This rock has become so enmeshed with your identity.

Who would you be if you were to release it?

This rock doesn't serve you,

So you begin to think your way into letting go.

You plan how you can let this rock go when you release it,

Why this rock should just be smaller,

Or you even begin to blame the rock for just being what it is.

What does this rock symbolize to you?

What are you wanting to let go of?

We hold on sometimes because it feels easier.

Fear keeps us thinking we are okay being where we are.

We create our own narrative,

Our own narrative,

Our own narrative.

How it's benefiting our life in some way,

Just to avoid having to let it go completely.

Bring your attention back to this rock.

You start to move it around to make space so you can pick up something else,

But there is no place for you to go.

You start to move it around to make space so you can pick up something else,

But there is no room,

And what you pick up just falls through your hands.

There is only room for this rock until you are able to fully let it go.

There will be no room in your hands for anything else.

How would it feel to release your grip and drop the rock?

What emotions would you feel?

Relief?

Content?

Even if they are negative emotions,

Focus your attention on that emotion for a moment.

Remember to breathe it into your being.

How does it feel?

Which emotion brings more clarity to you,

More joy,

More peace?

Breathe that in for a moment,

And silently on your mind,

Breathe in your mind into your mind.

Breathe that in for a moment,

And silently on your mind,

I let go of what no longer serves me.

Breathing in and out.

Now let it go.

Watch the rock fall from your hands and slowly fade into the ground until you see nothing else but your hands in front of you.

How does it feel to no longer hold on?

Your hands are free to be hands,

Moving around,

Picking up and putting down new things,

No longer bound.

Take a few more deep breaths in,

And slowly exhale through the mouth.

Whenever you're ready,

Begin to open your eyes and bring your attention back to the space you're in.

As you go through the day,

Remember this feeling you cultivated by letting go,

And know you have the power to change your life and live how you want to live.

Take some time to journal about your experience,

And if you have trouble getting started,

Begin with one question.

What story was I telling myself?

Until next time,

Love and light.
