So go ahead and get comfortable in whatever position that you'd like to meditate in,
Whether it be sitting in a chair with the feet flat on the floor and the hands resting comfortably.
You can lie down.
You can also sit on a cushion with your legs crossed or out,
Or a combination of whatever is comfortable for you.
Just,
I'll give you a second to get into that position.
While you're getting into that position,
I'm going to activate some Reiki symbols for you.
I'm going to provide a little bit of healing,
So hopefully that will come through to you.
Once you get into that comfortable position,
Go ahead and you can close your eyes if that's comfortable for you.
If that's not comfortable for any reason,
You can always keep the eyes open,
Just gazing down.
And just begin to notice the breath.
So just noticing how the breath is coming in and out of the body at the moment.
Maybe just noticing the quality of it right now for you.
And then making any adjustments that you need to make.
So if you're trying to breathe through the nose and you can't,
Do whatever you need to do so that your breath is comfortable for you.
And we'll start off with a little mindful breathing to connect a little bit more with the breath.
So if you'd like to do this,
You can place your hands somewhere comfortable on the belly.
And as you inhale,
Feel the belly rise and expand.
And on the exhale,
You feel the belly draw back.
Inhale,
Belly rises,
Expands.
And on the exhale,
You feel the belly draw back.
And you can try to make your in-breath and your out-breath the same length.
And we're just going to sit here for a little bit,
Just connecting with the breath.
You can go ahead and take your hands off of your belly if you're practicing the mindful breathing.
Finishing up the last round of breath.
And you can place the hands down.
And just returning to noticing the breath.
So maybe the quality of the breath is a little bit different than when you started.
But just noticing here.
Just trying to be a body breathing.
Begin to notice all the places where your body comes in contact with something solid in your physical space.
And just dropping into the physical body.
Just taking note how you're feeling physically right at this moment.
And you can even take note how you're feeling mentally and emotionally right now.
And even how you're feeling spiritually.
And we're just observing here.
We're just seeing where we are.
There isn't any right or wrong.
And then bring your awareness to the crown of the head,
The very top of the head.
And then move the awareness to the front of the head,
The forehead and the face.
And then bring your awareness to the back of the head.
And then to the ears.
And the eyes.
The nose.
And the mouth.
And if you like,
You can squeeze all the muscles of the face really tight.
Just pulling everything in towards your nose.
And then release,
Letting all the muscles in the face relax.
Let your jaw relax.
And then move your awareness to the neck.
Front of the neck.
Sides of the neck.
And the back of the neck.
The upper back.
And the shoulders.
The chest and the heart center.
The upper parts of your arms.
The elbows.
And the lower parts of the arms.
The hands and the fingers.
And if you like,
You can make this with the hands and tense all the muscles of the chest,
Shoulders,
Upper back.
You can even scoot your shoulders up a little bit if you like.
Just pull everything in,
Squeeze.
And then release,
Letting the shoulders drop down if you have them lifted.
Letting the arms drop down,
The hands release.
You can place the palms down if you like a little extra grounding right now.
Or you can place the palms,
Flip the palms up towards the sky.
It's a gesture of receiving.
And then move the awareness to the abdomen.
The middle part of the back.
And then to the lower part of the back.
If you like,
You can squeeze your stomach muscles towards your back.
Pull them in.
And then release,
Letting the belly soften.
And bring your awareness to the hips.
And the upper parts of the legs.
And the lower parts of the legs.
Your ankles.
Your feet and your toes.
And if you like,
You can squeeze the toes and all the muscles of the legs really tight.
Just pull everything in.
And then release,
Letting all the muscles in the legs relax.
Let the feet relax.
And allow the entire body to melt.
Just be here now.
There's nowhere to be and there's nothing to do.
And we'll just try our best to be in the moment.
So I invite you now to imagine that there is a beautiful red healing light.
At your root chakra,
Your first chakra.
And this chakra is located at the base of the spine.
So just imagine that there's a beautiful healing light in that area.
And the purpose of our first chakra is stability.
Provides us a foundation.
And it's associated with our first step.
We're powerless over our addiction and our lives have become unmanageable.
I invite you now to think about one thing that you're powerless over.
Or something that brings unimaginability to your life right now.
Whatever that thing is,
Just imagine that beautiful red healing light.
The healing light around it.
And then imagine that that beautiful red light is expanding.
Providing you healing for this thing that you're powerless over.
This thing that causes you unmanageability.
And also know that I'm sending healing energy to you as well.
Know that this healing energy,
It goes through all time and space.
It knows what to do.
So just imagine that thing now being healed.
And the healing is now complete.
And that red light goes back to the normal size it was before.
And we'll take some time now to repeat our affirmation to ourselves.
I am here.
I am here.
Become present again in your physical body.
Just noticing all the places where the body comes in contact with something solid in your physical space.
Just begin to notice the fingers.
Begin to move them a little bit.
Begin to notice the toes.
You can move them a little bit too.
Very slowly you can begin to open your eyes if you have them closed.
And then moving more fully when you feel ready.
I'd like to thank you so much for taking the time to meditate with me.
I hope that you found a little bit of healing.
Namaste.
